Forza Horizon 5

Series 34, Summer (Wet) - May 23 - May 30

Dial Tone horn in the Forzathon shop.

Trial - Road - S1 900 Retro Supercars - Used the 2003 Ferrari 360 Challenge Stradale (114 806 103). First race, started as the lead person. Got up to 3rd pretty fast, then second. Another player shot past me on one of the straights, but had trouble keeping control, then disappeared, so I guess he missed a checkpoint. One person dropped, not sure if it was them or not. Another player got past me near the end. Team finished 1, 2 (me), 4, 7, 11 with the drop. Second race, started as the second person. Passed the other person and a couple AI pretty quickly, then shoved the other lead AI at the first hard right hoping it would make a mess for my teammates to get by. It worked, since I got into the lead, followed by an AI, then teammates at 3-5. That AI was pesky until the end, slipping by me a couple times, but I edged it on corners to win. Finish was 1 (me), 3-5, 11.

Temples Rally EventLab - B700 Retro Rally - 2 laps, about 1:10 per, 11 AI. Used the 1983 Audi Sport Quattro (137 185 266). Easy enough, got into the lead about 2/3 through the first lap and wasn't challenged.

The Tiny Tangerine EventLab - A800 Retro Supercars - This is on EventLab Island. 2 laps, about 1:35 per, 11 AI. Used the 1987 Ferrari F40 (595 700 234). Got into the lead making the first turn of the 2nd lap. AI kept it close.

Launch Control Danger Sign - D500 1987 Pontiac Trans Am GTA - 367.5 feet - Kept it stock. Hit 481.15 starting from the far end of the runway. Hit 122 mph at the base of the ramp, dropped a few mph before going airborne.

Los Árboles Speed Trap - D500 1987 Pontiac Trans Am GTA - 101 mph - Tried from the first turn uphill of the trap, but fell a little short. Starting from the middle of the U turn, hit 101.86 and 102.36. Going back to the second turn, hit 103.79.

La Sílica Speed Zone - D500 1987 Pontiac Trans Am GTA - 82 mph - Starting from the 4 way intersection south of the zone (Rally Adventure icon), I managed 83.67. Got up to about 90 entering the zone and bottomed out around 77 coming out of the turn. Another try fell a little short when I bottomed out around 74. Starting from the 4 way intersection past the north end, was able to cross the finish without dropping below the target at 82.46.

Realized the last time I played was over two years ago now and not much has changed in that time, kind of surprising. I see they added more cash shop cars and the two expansions, which I'll probably dabble in just to get seasonal points from. Love the retrowave strip though, spent a few hours just hanging around it snapping pics and cars I needed for the photo album. Fresh music was absolutely needed, so great update overall. That said, I wish instead of those new adventure modes they had created an entire city like this event to explore. I was way more excited for just a small strip of highway than the Lego or whatever the other thing is they added.

The best part was the online stuff. Cruising around with a group of friends, sharing laughs as we tried to outdo each other with ridiculous stunts—those are the moments that'll stick with me. Forza Horizon 5 turned a solo racing game into a crazy, shared adventure.

So yeah, Forza Horizon 5 wasn't just a game but an opportunity for me and my friends to spend time together

Series 34, Autumn (Storm) - May 30 - Jun 6

A number of Retro Supercar events this week to also complete today's daily. Might be able to do Sunday's daily in one of the events, though easy enough to do on the highway.

Trial - Road - A800 Retro Supercars - Used the 1987 Ferrari F40 (595 700 234). AI seemed to have trouble with their handling. First race, started last. Got up to middle of the pack quickly and tried to pass others early on, but hit a barrier and fell back. Still managed to work my way back up to second by around halfway through. Team was 1, 2, 4 and last 3, which would've been a loss, but someone dropped. Tried to focus on blocking out the AI in 3rd instead of moving on the leader, but the person in 4th was too far back. Team finished 1, 2 (me), 4, 7 and 11. Second race, started second last. Again, a lot of bumping, but got ahead of the AI pretty quickly. Team settled into top 4 spots, and that's where we finished (me in 3rd), plus 11th.

  • Descansar Dorado Sprint
Horizon Dubai Oldtown EventLab - S1 900 Retro Supercars - 3 laps, little over a minute per, 5 AI. Used the 1993 Jaguar XJ220 (495 054 997). Route overlaps itself at one point, be mindful of the checkpoint markers.

Rally Cross Island EventLab - S1 900 Rally Monsters - This is on EventLab Island. 3 laps, about 1:20 per, no AI. Had a phantom rewind pop up in the 3rd lap, but it went away. Route line is off at the end, might be why there are no AI drivers.

Calle Principal Speed Trap - S1 900 Lamborghini - 200 mph - PR stunts were a bit tricky with the cars I already had tuned. Managed 200.13 and 203.77 with the 2012 Lamborghini Aventador LP700-4 (370 977 095) starting from the paved / dirt T intersection east of the trap. Tried from the first bend, but wasn't enough of a run up. Couldn't manage coming from the west - uphill, too many turns and AI traffic waiting around the corners. Also managed 203.15 with the 2014 Lamborghini Huracán LP 610-4 (144 296 933), but took a couple tries for a clean run.

Trébol Speed Zone - S1 900 Lamborghini - 230 mph - The 2012 Aventador managed it here. Hit 234.88 starting from the end of the expressway east of the zone, hit 234.95 starting from the Highland Climb to the west. The 2014 610-4 couldn't manage it from those start points, even tried backing up to the Los Jardines Danger Sign.

Silvia Surfer - Road - A800 Retro Sports Cars - No problems with the 1994 Nissan Fairlady Z Version S Twin Turbo (132 637 525).

Photo - Fast traveled next to the Hotel Danger Sign, switched cars, photo registered.

Collectibles - Didn't find any sunsets in the road bounded section of the map the Dunas Blancas marker was in, but found 13 in the area just south of the Las Dunas Drift Zone. Most are offset from the top of sand dunes, so you'll need to go airborne or try driving around in the sand with a large vehicle like the Benz Tankpool or Unimog. Though some are out of reach for even the big ones. They're lit up at night and easily visible.

Hot Wheels

Forest Escape Danger Sign - S1 900 Retro Supercars - 1,049.9 feet - This was a real pain. Tried a bunch of different cars, kept falling short with what I had. Also saw a number of other people attempting it with different cars while I was trying. Finally managed it with a 1988 Lamborghini Countach LP5000 QV (977 143 031) with drag tires. Started a little past the first turn before the spur, went airborne at about 175 mph and hit 1,087.86. Topped it with a few more runs, looks like you'll need to go airborne above 170 mph clear the target. Before I did it with that car, best I managed was 165 and fell about 33 feet short.

Chevy Set Go - Speed - S1 900 Retro Supercars - Titled with Chevy (though there are no Chevrolet Retro Supercars), so I used the 1993 Jaguar XJ220 (495 054 997) again. No issues.
  • Canyon's Edge Speed Sprint
  • Twin Loop Speed Circuit

Rally Adventure

Canyon Snap Danger Sign - B700 Retro Rally - 344.5 feet - Hit 367.91 with the 1983 Audi Sport Quattro (137 185 266). Set a route to the sign and started from where the route goes offroad. Went airborne at 105 mph. Tumbled a bit on the landing but it didn't fail the jump.

Ren-over and Out - Grit Reapers - B700 Retro Rally - No problems with the Audi Quattro.
  • Switchback Run
  • Joya Marron
  • Orogrande

Finished both expansions and only Hotwheels was any fun really. Rally adventure was incredibly boring and felt more like it could have been placed anywhere on the existing map while functioning the same. Got my N Vision car and that was about it for me. I do hope we get a FH6 this year or an announcement because I've never been a fan of drab desert settings, so a change of scenery would be great.

Series 34, Winter (Dry) - Jun 6 - Jun 13

Cassette car horn in the Forzathon shop. The mainland PR stunts will complete today's daily.

Trial - Road - B700 1990s BMW - Used the 1997 BMW M3 (714 134 756). Good acceleration compared to the field I was in. First race, started as the 4th person. Got up to 3rd behind 2 AI by the first hairpin. Let a teammate pass, they overtook the leading AI in the second lap, I passed one just before the 3rd and the other coming out of the 3rd lap's first hairpin. Team finished 1, 2 (me), 5, 6, 9, 10 to win. Second race, I started 3rd person. Again, got up to 3rd place pretty quickly. Let a teammate pass on the first lap. Early in the second lap, the person that won the first race shoved me into a wall with a lip that got me stuck, dropping me a number of spots. Tried to be aggressive but then got caught on the left turn with the unbreakable pylons on the inside. Was in 7th with the team down by 50 points, managed to pass 2 AI on the final uphill climb, but got passed on the inside by one of them on the final turn. Still enough to eek out the team win. Team finished 2, 3, 4, 6 (me), 11, 12.

Aztec My Chances EventLab - A800 Retro Sports Cars - 3 laps, 45-50 seconds per, no AI.

Le Capitaine EventLab - B700 Retro Rally - 2 laps, about 1:25 per, no AI.

Off the Rails Showcase Remix - Pretty sure these are mostly scripted so that if you don't screw up badly you'll get the win (though the monster trucks coming down the volcano has been a pain in the past). I had a fairly clean run but only edged the train by .065 seconds (1:52.235 to 1:52.300).

Ladera Speed Zone - A800 1980s - 85 mph - Used the 1987 Ferrari F40 (595 700 234). Starting from the 4 way intersection west of the zone (El Pípila Scramble icon), I hit 88.38 and 86.83. Got the zone speed a little over 100 before entering the double turns at the end and was able to stay above the target. Starting from the first turn past the east end, I hit 85.65. Got just over 85 before entering the zone, was around 71 coming out of the turns.

City Escape Trail Blazer - A800 1980s - 40 seconds left (3 stars is 35) - F40 again. Starting just before the gate, I finished with 43.361 seconds left.

2000 and Late - Street - C600 Classic Sports Cars - Upgraded the 1970 Porsche 914/6 (896 962 980) for this. Already had tunes for A, B and D class, so figured I'd make a C one, too. AI kept it close for the first 2 races, largely because of traffic.

DTM Ready - Dirt - B700 Retro Saloons - No problems with the 1987 Ford Sierra Cosworth RS500 (119 788 399). I imagine the BMW I used in the Trial would've done just as well, but wanted to use a different car.

Starting from the southbound track split north of the trap, hit 219.38. Both speeds will complete the 2nd chapter of the weekly challenge.

Series 34, Spring (Hot) - Jun 13 - Jun 20

Tuesday daily could be covered by any race.

Trial - Road - B700 Rare Classics - Used the 1968 Ferrari 365 GTB/4 (178 284 435), which is the reward car for the Trial. Didn't catch that until I received it. Had better speed than a Porsche that was already tuned and better acceleration, handling and braking (but lower speed rating) than a Jaguar. First race, started as the 3rd person. Got up to 2nd pretty quickly, but couldn't take the turns coming down the mountain cleanly, allowing a couple teammates to pass. Passed one of them again at the hard left around 60%, couldn't catch the leaders. Team finished 1, 3 (me), 4, 6, 9, 10 to win. Second race, 3rd person again. Got up near the lead quickly, but the succession of turns kept everyone close and there was a bit of shoving. Once things settled out, I was in 2nd behind the person that I think won the first race. Was passed by a teammate on the hard left at the end of the lap opposite the start, I was on the wall and they were on me to get ahead. Team finished top 3 (me 3rd), 6, 11 and 12 to win.
  • Riviera Sprint
  • Los Jardines Circuit
  • Playa Azul Circuit
Waterfall GP EventLab - S1 900 Retro Supercars - 2 laps, little over 2 minutes per, no AI. Was funny seeing a flock of flamingos fly up through the road ahead of you at a couple points on the track.

Los Jardines Danger Sign - A800 BMW - 820.2 feet - Used the 2008 BMW Z4 M Coupé (434 156 224). Starting from where the dirt road crosses under the expressway, hit 970.46. Was at 176 mph when hitting the ramp.

Panorámica Drift Zone - A800 BMW - 65k (3 stars is 50k) - Same BMW. Starting from the north end intersection, hit 75,139. Starting from the south end intersection, hit 71,603.

Las Curvas Drift Zone - A800 BMW - 62k (3 stars is 60k) - Same BMW. Staring from the intersection just west of the zone, hit 79,539. Starting from the unbreakable tree on the north side of the road a little past the east end, hit 80,403.

Pop Up, Up and Down - Dirt - A800 Pop Up Headlights - No problems with the 1974 Lancia Stratos HF Stradale (158 211 581).

Treasure Hunt
Not 100% certain what completed this. I tried the Gran Puente Speed Trap on the suspension bridge in the south center of the map. First tried 0 stars, 1 star and 2 stars with the Hoonigan RS200. Switched to the Rimac to try for 3 stars and I'm pretty sure I got the completion pop up before hitting the trap, and I don't think I had enough of a run up to 3 star it, either. Was over 200 mph, though.

Ice Cauldron Drift Zone - B700 Retro Saloons - 150k - Used the 1987 Ford Sierra Cosworth RS500 (119 788 399). Starting from the Ice, Ice Maybe? icon, hit 190,024. Starting from the big blue dot past the west end of the zone, I hit 180,821.

Hammering the Gas - Hazard - B700 Retro Saloons - No problems with the Cosworth. No phantom checkpoint miss in the first race. I may be misremembering, but I think there's a new checkpoint marker where the pop up would usually occur, which may have fixed that issue.

Tres Colinas Speed Zone - B700 Classic Rally - 81 mph - Used the 1970 Ford GT70 (133 783 210). Starting from the hairpin west of the zone, hit 81.22. Starting from the turn east of the zone, hit 81.57.

Easy G-Teasy - Horizon Raptors - B700 Classic Rally - No problems with the GT70, which is also the reward for this championship. Guess I should take better note of the rewards first, but it was the only eligible tuned car I had. It's also available in the autoshow and looks like it's the 4th time it's been a playlist reward.

The Trial and the 2010s Road championship are each long enough to complete today's daily.

Trial - Street - A800 2010s Ford - Used the 2018 Ford Mustang GT (163 310 707). Tune was pretty much middle of the pack. Two teammates also used it, and after 2 dropouts in the first race, the other teammate was in a Crown Vic. First race, started second to last. Pretty straightforward race, though AI was tough. There were 5 of us from 4-8, with the 6th back in 11th. A couple teammates dropped out when it looked like we'd lose. I mishandled the hard left by the airport entrance, but only lost a place to a teammate. Team finished 4-6 (I was 6th, though splash screen said 5th) and 10th to lose. Second race, I was last. One AI couldn't be caught, but the rest of us were 2-5, and that's how we finished to win. I was 5th and played interference with the trailing AI. Final race, I was second person. A lot of jostling early, but again, we were in the top half. I was 6th, playing interference, one teammate ahead of me had some weaving trouble and I passed him near the end and almost caught the AI ahead of me. Team finished 2, 3, 5 (me) and 6 to win.

Sunhaven Nightfall / Street EventLab - S2 998 Extreme Track Toys - This is on EventLab island. 4 laps, little under 50 seconds per, 2 AI. Used the 2010 Mosler MT900S (181 867 490). I think the AI had some trouble with this, because I had a decent lead pretty quickly, but then they settled in. Needed to slow down at the start of the 3rd lap or risk running into them when the track crosses itself.

Hóng Akai Nightrace EventLab - B700 Nissan - 3 laps, little over a minute per, 5 AI. Used the 2002 Nissan Skyline GT-R V-Spec II (100 719 455). Some sharp turns you can use to shove AI out of your way. Though they remained close throughout and over took me trying to take some of the turns cleanly. Track appears to split after an early tunnel, but it doesn't. I tried going up the steps on the second lap and got a missed checkpoint prompt, so I rewound and stuck to the main route. Also caught the bottom of the car on the steps.

Stadium Jump Danger Sign - S2 998 Anything - 1,312.3 feet (3 stars is 900) - Used the rally 2019 Rimac Concept Two (551 707 630). Starting from the left point of the triangle interchange north of the sign, hit 1,883.13. Hit the ramp at 230 mph.

Caballo Blanco Speed Trap - S2 998 Anything - 160 mph (3 stars is 145) - Rally Rimac again. Started 2 bends uphill of the trap, hit 163.53. Fell a few MPH short trying an uphill approach from back by the stream.

Watersplash Speed Zone - S2 998 Anything - 95 mph (3 stars is 90) - This one is tough. Could top the 3 star speed with the Rimac, but not the weekly target. Managed it with the 1986 Hoonigan Ford RS200 Evolution (780 472 164), but only going west to east. Starting from the bend past the west end of the zone, managed to drift pretty cleanly through the big turn and come out around 89 mph and speed on the final straight for 97.06. Also came out of the turn around 87 and hit 95.36. Kept falling a little short going the other way. Managed both ways with a stock 2011 Lamborghini Sesto Elemental Forza Edition. Starting from the bends past each end of the zone, hit 95.34 going west to east and 95.95 going east to west.

Rally and Camaro-raderie - Dirt - S1 900 Chevrolet Camaro - Used the 2015 Chevrolet Camaro Z/28 (360 033 998). It didn't handle the dirt sections very well, particularly the many turns and water crossings on Tulum Trail. Could pull away well on the paved sections and managed 3 wins.

Series 35, Autumn (Storm) - Jun 27 - Jul 4

Trial - Dirt - A800 Honda - Used the 1984 Honda Civic CRX Mugen (159 586 131). This is only available from a Midnight Battle accolade (2nd row, middle column). Didn't realize it when I picked it, but chose it for its acceleration and offroad tires over my 2018 Civic's speed, launch and braking. Only had 4 on my team, 2 with untuned 2018 Civics and a tuned NSX-R. First race, started last. NSX and I got up to 3/4. Lead AIs were aggressive, but we pushed up to the top spots. Team finished 1, 2 (me), 7 and 8 to win. Second race, started last again. Moved up a couple spots again, but lead AI didn't want to be caught. Hit the wall on the hard right around 70% and spun out, losing a couple spots. Team finished 3, 6 (me), 8 and 10 to lose. Third race, started as first person. Quickly passed a bunch of AI, and shoved some others on turns to get into the lead. Let the NSX pass me near the end of the first lap. In second lap, NSX spun out on one of the hard dirt turns, I passed him as well as an AI. AI got ahead, but shoved it into a wall early in the 3rd lap to take the lead, held on to the end with the NSX getting back to second. Team finished 1 (me), 2, 7 and 9 to win.

Laderas Core EventLab - B700 Retro Sports Cars - 2 laps, about 1:40 per, 6 AI. Used the 2002 Nissan Skyline GT-R V-Spec II (100 719 455). Got into the lead about halfway through the first lap. AI kept it close for that lap, then I created some separation in the second.

Mexico Island Raceway Club EventLab - A800 Japanese - This is on EventLab island. 4 laps, about 1:15 per, 11 AI. Used the 2018 Honda Civic Type R (114 061 290) that I passed over in the Trial. AI was a bit pushy early on. Got up to 4th at the start of the 2nd lap, 2nd for the start of the 3rd and into the lead about half way through the 3rd lap.

Orilla del Río Speed Zone - S2 998 Anything - 120 mph (3 stars is 110) - Tricky zone with dirt and the turns. I tried a few cars, got some 118s and 119s with the 1989 Ferrari F40 Competizione (179 735 371), but finally managed it with the stock 2011 Lamborghini Sesto Elemental Forza Edition. Starting from the second bend past the south end, I managed 121.71 and 124.79. Best I got starting past the first bend off the north end was 119.69.

Arbolada Drift Zone - S2 998 Anything - 150k (3 stars is 110k) - Used the 1986 Hoonigan Ford RS200 Evolution (780 472 164). From the intersections past each end of the zone, hit 183,236 starting from the north end and 196,229 starting from the south.

Dodging Demons and Dirt - Cross Country - S1 900 Rally Monsters - This was a complete pain. Took a number of rewinds, but won the first race with 3 different cars ('78 Hoonigan Escort RS1800, Porsche Desert Flyer and dropped my Hoonigan RS2000 Evolution down to S1), only to get clobbered on El Descenso. Finally got 3 wins with the 1991 Hoonigan Gymkhana 10 Ford Escort Cosworth Group A (692 307 260). Got through the first 2 races on the first try with some rewinds, but took 3 tries to win the last one. People on the Forza forums also complained about this one.

Delta With It - Road - S1 900 Modern Supercars - No real problems with the 2014 Porsche 911 Turbo S (887 678 660). Took a couple rewinds on the final hard right on the sprint to keep the lead, the AI were taking it a lot faster than I could, passing me on both the inside and outside.

Used the Jaguar, traveled to Guanajuato, photo registered.

Collectibles - Found 17 robots following the loop that goes around the telescope and nearby buildings. Most were just off the road on the inside, except by the telescope where they were on the outside. Found some more among the buildings and in the middle of the loop, ending up with 24 total. There appears to be a bit of a cooldown. When I counted 10, tracker was just at 6.

Thanks for sharing your detailed experiences with Series 18! It sounds like you had quite the eventful races, especially with those tricky conditions and close calls. The trials with the 1983 Audi Sport Quattro in the rain sound intense—I can imagine the challenge of managing traffic and those risky cliff bends.

Series 35, Winter (Dry) - Jul 4 - Jul 11

Outfit for today's daily is the reward from the California Hills EventLab event. Warthog for Sunday's daily is in the Forzathon shop (and the autoshow).

Trial - Road - S1 900 2010s Mclaren - Used the 2018 McLaren 600LT Coupé (124 424 183). Trial got off to a rough start. I started from the last position, and early turns ahead of me were a cluster and hard to get around. Things settled out with 3 AI, 4 people, 3 AI and 2 people. The trailers dropped and the team finished 4-7, with me in 5th. Second race, I started as the second person. Got up to 3rd with an AI challenging me. Then at the downhill turns leading to the end of the first lap, I had that AI on my right and another person on my left, so I didn't make an aggressive push. Person got ahead, AI didn't. Another person got ahead of me and team finished 2-4 (me in 4th) and last to win. Third race, started 2nd last. Came out of the downhill opening stretch with just a teammate and a couple AI ahead of me. Straightforward race, team finished 1, 2 (me), 4, 5 to win.

California Hills Raceway EventLab - B700 2010s - This is on EventLab Island. 3 laps, about 1:25 per, 11 AI. Used the 2013 Subaru BRZ (772 055 239). Got into the lead just after starting the second lap and wasn't challenged after. Rewards outfit for today's daily.

Ark Drift City Dash GP - Night EventLab - A800 Rally Monsters - 1 lap, race took me 3:46, 11 AI. Used the 1984 Opel Manta 400 (133 371 952). Got into first around 1:40. Was able to create some separation and wasn't challenged after that.

Pequeño Puente Speed Trap - S2 998 Anything - 177 mph (3 stars is 160) - Used the rally 2019 Rimac Concept Two (551 707 630) (reward for the Road championship this week). Starting from the bend north of the trap, hit 200.71. Startting from the T intersection with the dotted dirt road south of the trap and going over the hill, hit 191.59. Took a few tries to clear from that direction since the car bounces a bit.

Barranco Trail Blazer - S2 998 Anything - 35 seconds (3 stars is 30) - Hit 38.260 with the 1986 Hoonigan Ford RS200 Evolution (780 472 164). Started from the El Descenso Cross Country. Had to do a lot of rewinding to avoid rocks and trees. Seems weird, we had that Cross Country race last week and I don't remember as many rocks and trees on the way down the mountain. Maybe the race route removes them.

Lancia Me This! - Dirt - B700 Lancia - Three wins with the 1992 Lancia Delta HF Integrale Evo (150 015 562). Not crazy about the bumpy ride down the mountain in the first race. Didn't get into first until nearly 90% of the way through. No problems with the other 2 races. Had just gotten into first when starting the hairpin descent in the 3rd race.

Friday's daily can be covered by the Drift Zone PR stunts. Monday's daily will be covered by either of the Road championships. Might be able to cover Wednesday's air skill daily with the Dirt championship.

Trial - Cross Country - A800 Extreme E - I used the 2022 Extreme E #44 X44 with tune 107 917 496, which isn't mine. Upgrades only go so far with these vehicles, need to tune to improve the top speed. The cars also don't take turns the best, particularly when you get shoved. And there was quite a bit of shoving. First race, started second last. A lot of jostling, and I couldn't recover from some wide turns. Team finished 1, 4, 5, 9 (me), 11, 12. Second race, started as the first person. Moved past some AI and shoved one into the wall at the first turn. Something screwy happened to me on the first ramp. I don't think I hit the AI car ahead of me, but I came to a split second standstill and got hit by the person behind me. Was jockeying for 3rd with a person and an AI, but at the ramp at the end of the second lap, I hit the post at the end of the ramp, which again brought me to a dead halt. Dropped from 5th to 10th. Was able to recover to 6th by the end. Team was 1-3, 5, 6 (me), 9 to win. Third race, was third person. Again, more jostling and wide turns. AI rammed me from behind on the final turn, dropping me from 6th to 7th. Team was 1, 4, 5, 7 (me), 8, 12 to win. Glad it's over with. The tune I used did well the last time I had to use it, but perhaps there are better ones out there now.

Old Bridge Rally Stage EventLab - A800 Unlimited Offroad - 2 laps, about 1:40 per, no AI.

Gummy Bear Circuit EventLab - B700 Modern Rally - 2 laps, about 2:30 per, 6 AI, wet surface. Used the 2008 Subaru Impreza WRX STI (902 752 165). Got into the lead at the start of the circular crop field, created some separation in the second lap.

Desert Dunes Danger Sign - S2 998 Anything - 1,509.2 feet (3 stars is 1,050) - Hit 1,673.93 with the rally 2019 Rimac Concept Two (551 707 630). I tried approaching from the dirt road southeast of the sign, but that involves a bit of a right turn to line yourself up with the ramp. Instead, I started from the ramp and went away from it until I hit the dirt road to the south, right near an XP board icon. Climbed the hills, then floored it for the final approach. Hit 178 mph just before the ramp. Topped 1,600 a few more times.

Costera Drift Zone - S2 998 Anything - 100k (3 stars is 70k) - Used the 1986 Hoonigan Ford RS200 Evolution (780 472 164). Starting from the intersections past each end of the zone, hit 111,247 going clockwise and 113,875 going counterclockwise.

Audi Feel About This? - Dirt - C600 Pickups & 4x4's - No real problems with the 2011 Ford F-150 SVT Raptor (985 068 711). Some late overtakes on the first 2 races (early 3rd lap first race, around 85% second race). For Wednesday's daily, didn't pay attention to air skills in the first race, saw at least 2 pop up in the second race. Should've had at least one in the third, but the skill tracker was banking points.

Starting from the bend past the west end of the zone, hit 74.48 and 74.94. Starting from the top of the incline past the east end, hit 76.39.

Feeling Right at Home - Apex Predator - A800 UK - Used the 2017 Jaguar F-Pace S (165 523 582). No problems with the first 2 races, though the AI kept it close. Had to rerun the 3rd race because I was trying to maintain a skill chain while in 2nd place and didn't try to catch the leader until it was too late. Rerun was like the other races, a close win.

Edit: Updated with the expansion events.

Did a lot of the base game stuff earlier, then took a nap. Finished the base game stuff I had left but can't get into the expansions. Will update later.

Series 36, Summer (Wet) - Jul 18 - Jul 25

The Cars and Coffee shop for today's daily is in the traffic circle by the Juggernaut EventLab. The car for the base game PR stunts is awarded by the Road championship. The outfit for Friday's daily is the reward for the Photo challenge. Of the cars eligible for Tuesday's daily, one is in the Forzathon shop this week and is also available for 16.4 million credits in the Autoshow. The other car is a seasonal exclusive. Wiki says it's been available 3 times, most recently Series 34 Summer, though I have 4 of them (and it's not available from Wheelspins).

Trial - Road - B700 Renault / Alpine - Used the 1993 Renault Clio Williams (896 603 707). Was pretty good speed wise against the group I was with, but not so great at handling turns. First race, started as the 4th person. Quickly jumped out to the lead, but fell back because of hitting walls on turns. Fell back to 4th behind a teammate and AI, but passed the teammate and closed on the AI on the long straightish stretch midway through the route. Fought with the AI toward the end, but the turns did me in. Team finished 2 (me), 4-7 and 10 to win. Second race, started as first person. Got out to a quick lead again and stayed there until some teammates caught me around halfway as I was trying to take turns cleanly. Team finished 1-5 (me 4th) and 7 to win.

Mink Creek Circuit EventLab - B700 Hot Hatch - This is on EventLab Island. 2 laps, little over 1:50 per, 11 AI. Used the 2003 Ford Focus RS (580 147 909). Got into first entering the first tunnel on the first lap, fell a couple spots, then got the lead for good on the second tunnel. AI kept it close.

Jumbo Jangle Juggernaut EventLab - A800 Track Toys - 1 lap, race took 3:43, 11 AI. Used the 2002 BMW M3-GTR (617 827 997). AI was pretty aggressive. Got into first just past the bridge on the east end of Mulegé.

Jungle Rally Circuit EventLab - S1 900 Rally Monsters - 1 lap, race took 4:51, 11 AI. Used the 1978 Hoonigan Ford Escort RS1800 (555 193 455). Got into first coming out of the first turn and started creating some separation. One AI tried to close the gap late, popping into the edge of the minimap at times, but wasn't really challenged.

Coast View Speed Trap - A800 1997 Nissan Skyline GT-R V-Spec - 155 mph - Used 184 123 533. Starting from the second bend south of the trap, hit 160.66. Starting from about the midpoint of the straight after the first bend north of the trap, hit 163.55.

Océano Azul Speed Trap - A800 1997 Nissan Skyline GT-R V-Spec - 170 mph - Starting from the southern intersection of the loop for the Buenas Vistas house, hit 176.66. Starting from the intersection leading to the Hillside Drift Zone, hit 171.50. Fell 3 mph short starting from the Emerald Circuit.

Chest location
Don't know if it's because of the Xbox Live issues, but the game showed me exactly where the chest was without the usual big circle on the map. Driving west from the Baja Outpost, before you get to the 4 way intersection with the Dirt road, there are 2 partially buried pipes. The chest is inside one of them.

Hot Wheels

Water's Edge Drift Zone - A800 2002 Mazda RX-7 Spirit R Type-A - 140k (3 stars is 130k) - Not an easy one. First, I tried it stock since I didn't have an A class tune. Managed 131k on a downhill run, but couldn't crack 130k on an uphill. Rear end kept spinning around too far and failing the zone. Tried just an AWD swap, mid-130s. So I tried 124 980 041. Almost hit 138k on my first downhill attempt, then 135k on an uphill. Then I topped 154k downhill, 144,016 going back up, then 150,162 on a final downhill run. Started from the intersections past both ends of the zone each time.

Starting from the bends past each end of the trap, I hit 63.30 starting from the south, then 62.83 going back, then 63.95 and finally cracked it from the north at 63.27.

Weekly challenge car is awarded by one of the Road championships. The mainland PR stunt car is awarded by the Dirt championship. The expansion championships award their respective PR stunt car. All are also available from the autoshow.

Trial - Street - B700 Nissan / Datsun - Used the 2002 Nissan Skyline GT-R V-Spec II (100 719 455). First race, started as 3rd person. Was beaten off the line by a number of teammates and had to deal with a clustered group for the first half of the race. Even threw out the "I'm on your team!" phrase when someone kept bumping into me. Hard left around 20% and hard right around 40% threw some people. I managed the first one fine, went a bit wide on the second. Was around 7th at that point but quickly moved up to 4th. Team finished 1, 2, 4 (me), 6 and 7 with a drop. There was a big gap both ahead and behind me. Second race, started as first person. Had a couple teammates jump past me, took some turns wide, including the hard left around halfway. Still managed to get ahead of the middle of the pack. Team finished 1, 2, 5 (me), 6 and 10 to win. The early missed turns cost me a couple positions.

Sunset Palms Raceway EventLab - S1 900 Retro Supercars - This is on EventLab Island. 2 laps, about 1:45 per, 11 AI. Used the 2003 Ferrari 360 Challenge Stradale (114 806 103). AI was a challenge on this one. Didn't make much headway against them on the straights, had to take the inside on turns to close gaps and pass. Didn't get into the lead until the winding turns near the end of the second lap. Took the final turn a bit wide and an AI tried to take me on the inside, but a rewind and tighter turn kept me in front.

Calvo's Karting EventLab - A800 Track Toys - 3 laps, little over 1:30 per, 11 AI. Used the 2002 BMW M3-GTR (617 827 997). Got up to 4th pretty quickly, then went back and forth for 3rd. Got up to 2nd just before the end of the first lap. It seemed like something was wrong with the AI's driving near the end of the lap, because they seemed to take the final turn wide and did a lot of weaving in the final stretch. Got into first early in the second lap, traded the lead a couple times, then got ahead to stay but never got too far ahead.

Cordilerra Rally EventLab - A800 Modern Rally / Rally Monsters - Point to point, took me 2:54, 11 AI. Used the 1984 Opel Manta 400 (133 371 952). Got into the lead pretty early and wasn't challenged.

Valle Danger Sign - B700 1990 Nissan Pulsar GTI-R - 689 feet - Used 157 532 448. Starting from the 4 way intersection east of the sign, I hit 712.42. Went airborne at 110 mph.

Levee Speed Trap - B700 1990 Nissan Pulsar GTI-R - 120 mph - Starting from the 4 way intersection east of the trap, I hit 131.05 and 133.33. The T intersection was a little too close, needed more of a run up. Couldn't hit it coming from the west, the bend and slight uphill just before the trap did me in. Best I got was 119.09.

Cordillera Speed Zone - B700 1990 Nissan Pulsar GTI-R - 90 mph - Starting from the intersection just past the east end of the zone, I hit 93.60. Starting from the bend just past the west end, I hit 92.42.

Feel the Hype - Road - S1 900 Hypercars - No problems with the 2016 Lamborghini Centenario LP 770-4 (170 045 205), though I didn't get into the lead until pretty late in the first race.

Sombrero in the Forzathon shop. The Road championship rewards the weekly challenge car. The Street championship rewards the Mexico PR stunt car. The Expansion championships rewards cars eligible for their respective PR stunt.

Trial - Road - A800 Cadillac / Chevrolet - Used the 2002 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 (727 614 744). Solid car against the group I was with. First race, started second last. Passed the other players coming out of the first hard left turn. Was in 3rd, passed one AI and the other AI actually got itself stuck on a lip on the outer edge. Held first from there on out, though another player started getting close toward the end of the 3rd lap. One teammate got outside the route somehow. Team took top 4 (I won) then 11th and 12th to win. Second race, I started as the first person. Got past most of the AI quickly, rammed the lead AI at the hard left at the north end of the route to take the lead and allowed 4 teammates to past the bot as well. They didn't all stay there, though. Tried taking turns cleanly, so was passed by a teammate on the final turn of the second lap. Couldn't catch him, so team finished 1-3 (I was 2nd), 5, 7 and 12.

Plynthcraft Race 2 EventLab - D500 Microcar Madness - This is on EventLab Island. 4 laps, little under 40 seconds per, 11 AI. Used the 1965 Mini Cooper S (179 835 919). AI put up a challenge, got into first on the final turn of the 3rd lap.

Calypso Coastline EventLab - A800 Retro Sports Cars - 3 laps, about 2 minutes per, 11 AI. Used the 1994 Nissan Fairlady Z Version S Twin Turbo (132 637 525). Got into first about midway through the first lap and wasn't challenged afterward.

Grounds Raceway GP EventLab - S1 900 Modern Supercars - 3 laps, little over 1:30 per, 11 AI. Used the 2009 Ferrari 458 Italia (996 724 742). This one was not easy. First tried with the 2012 Nissan GT-R Black, but couldn't get above 6th. A lot of twists and turns, so I went with the Italia for its better handling. Still stuck in 3rd until late in the 3rd lap when I got aggressive and shoved the lead AIs into walls on turns. Still had to do some rewinds to block out other AI that came charging through the pack.

Callejón Speed Trap - B700 1997 BMW M3 - 115 mph - Used 714 134 756. Starting from the intersection west of the trap, hit 121.35. Starting from the intersection east of the trap, hit 116.07. Traffic can be frustrating, especially on the blind turns.

Pyramid of the Moon Speed Zone - B700 1997 BMW M3 - 100 mph - From the first intersection past the west end, hit 102.98. From the second T intersection past the east end, hit 100.93.

Precipice Drift Zone - B700 1997 BMW M3 - 75k (3 stars is 70k) - Starting from the intersection by the west end of the zone, hit 94,186. Past the east end, starting even with the Escarpment Speed Trap on the cliff above, hit 94,420.

A Mug-nicifcent Collection - Road - A800 Collector's Series - No problems with the 1995 Ferrari F50 (956 093 222). Didn't have anything spec'ed for this one, and looks like it's an expensive set of cars. AWD swap took me to 802, drivetrain changes didn't impact PI, tire and rim upgrades dropped to 800.

Horizon Nexus Speed Trap - A800 Audi TT RS - 220 mph - Used the 2010 Audi TT RS Coupé (226 754 782). The 2018 and 2020 ones should also work, didn't get incorrect car warnings when I tried untuned versions of those years. Hit an even 222 when starting from the 4 way intersection up in the forest section, by the Hydra's Revenge icon. Tried from the Horizon Tour icon, but only hit 209.

Time to Play - Speed - S1 900 Track Toys - Used the 2016 Dodge Viper ACR (262 311 234), the car awarded by the Trial. Not the fastest car I had, the '08 Viper or '16 Mustang would've probably been better picks with top speeds around 30 mph higher. Won all 3 races, but it took me a while to get into first in the first race, and the second race was nearly done before I got into the lead. Had no issues with the third race. All races are 2 laps. If you want to make this week's stunt events really fun, try to complete them with a completely stock 97 BMW. No tune. It's a lot easier than it seems.

I've never really gotten the hang of RWD cars in Forza. Maybe it's me, though I think they handle a bit better as the series goes long, so it might not just be me. First thing I do with any car is give it an AWD drop unless a challenge forbids it.

Took me a few tries, but I got them all. Had to start back at the hairpin for the west approach to the speed trap. Gave up coming from the east, needing a longer approach with more blind turns. Took a couple tries with the drift zone because I kept doing a full spin on some turns. Speed zone fell short on east to west pass, but just squeaked by with 100.22 on the west-east return.

Also, the Devs are teasing a new game mode. Should be revealed during Gamescom. Co-op eliminator ? Probably not. Might be related to event lab or event lab island.

Series 36, Spring (Hot) - Aug 8 - Aug 15

Surprised the weekly challenge car isn't a reward from another challenge this week. One road championship rewards a car eligible for the other, while that other one rewards the base game PR stunt car. DLC championships again provide an eligible car for their respective PR stunt.

Trial - Street - A800 Toyota & Lexus - Used the 2020 Toyota GR Supra (733 588 710). Picked it over the 2015 Lexus RC F (146 822 656) for better handling and braking vs. top speed rating. First race, started as first person. Car still took turns wide, with bumps from AI and teammates alike. Still a good, mostly clean run. Team finished 1 (Lexus), 2 (me), 4, 5, 10, 11. Was in 3rd until the final left turn toward the festival, but a teammate messed up the turn. Second race, started as 3rd person. A lot of bumping, but the team settled into the top 4. Was in second until the leader took the final turn wide, allowing me to take the lead with teammates on my tail. Team finished 1-4 (I won), 10, 11. If the race was any longer, I would've probably finished second. My time was 3:02:417, 2nd place was 3:02.501.

Lighthouse National Circuit EventLab - A800 Track Toys - This is on EventLab Island. 4 laps, little under a minute per, 11 AI. Used the 2002 BMW M3-GTR (617 827 997). Was in 2nd at the end of the first lap when the lead AI suddenly braked and swerved right, allowing me to pass it. I was to its left, so it didn't get in my way, just surprised me. I only have driving lines on for turns, so I don't know what made it do that. Created a bit of a gap from there out.

Teotihuacán Ruins Restored EventLab - B700 Classic & Retro Rally - 3 laps, little over a minute per, 11 AI. Used the 1983 Audi Sport Quattro (137 185 266). Got into first early in the second lap. Didn't get to pull away, but the AI didn't get too close, either. Don't expect to wall ride anywhere. Can swing the back end out for a drift tap on turns, but the front end will get caught on the brick like walls.

Eagle's Perch Danger Sign - C600 1970 International Scout 800A - 656.2 feet - Used 993 322 776. Hit 702.28 starting from the close dotted dirt intersection coming down from the Wilds Outpost. Went airborne at 142 mph. Fell about 35 feet short starting from the Flood, Sweat and Gears showcase, going airborne at 133 mph.

Pyramid of the Sun Speed Trap - C600 1970 International Scout 800A - 100 mph - Starting from the left bend north of the trap, hit 110.36. Starting from the T intersection south of the trap, hit 102.66.

El Gancho Speed Zone - C600 1970 International Scout 800A - 65 mph - Starting from the bends past each end of the zone, hit 66.04 going west to east and 66.32 on the return trip. Wasn't sure if I'd be able to recover from the speed drop of the hairpin, but just managed it.

Series 37, Summer (Wet) - Aug 15 - Aug 22

Second chapter of the weekly challenge can be cleared with the main land Speed Zone stunt, though the weekly challenge target is much easier than the PR stunt target.

Trial - Road - B700 High Performance Dailies - Used the 2015 Audi S1 (446 126 349). Car doesn't have the best launch, which hurt me a bit starting last in both races. First race had a lot of bumping from AI and teammates and couldn't move up. Still a pretty straightforward race, team finished 1-3, 6-8 (me 6th). Second race I managed to use the turns to my advantage, getting up to 5th at the start of the second lap, passing 1 AI ahead of me by wall riding the big sweeping right early in the track and passing another AI leading up to that turn at the start of the 3rd. Team finished 1-3 (me 3rd), 5, 7, 12.

Black Sands Truck Ranch EventLab - A800 Unlimited Offroad - 3 laps, around 55 seconds per, 11 AI. Used the 2014 Local Motors Rally Fighter (420 868 219). Small offroad course, keep an eye on the mini map, driving line sometimes went off and was sometimes hard to find the checkpoint marker against the sky. The AI seemed to have trouble cleanly handling the final turn of the lap, which is where I took the lead on the first lap.

Super Twisted Noodle Circuit EventLab - S1 900 Super Saloons - This is on EventLab Island. 2 laps, about 2 minutes per, 5 AI. Used the 2015 Infiniti Q60 Concept (753 282 714). Got into the lead coming out of the first vertical turn and wasn't challenged.

Mountain Top Danger Sign - A800 Modern Sports Cars - 1,115.5 feet - Bit of a tricky set of PR stunts this week, I wasn't able to do all 3 with the same car. First time I tried with the 2010 Audi TT RS Coupé (150 653 944), which is the weekly challenge car. Scraped by the Danger Sign, though it wasn't easy. Starting a little back from the intersection leading to the trap and going airborne at 123 mph, I fell 5 feet short. Going back to the dirt road past the collection of buildings and cutting between the buildings, I hit 1,117.90 (124 mph) and 1,118,52 (125 mph). Much easier time with the 2008 BMW Z4 M Coupé (434 156 224). Starting from the intersection leading to the jump, I went airborne at 133 and hit 1,285.81. Also tried the 2017 Alpine A110 (837 059 915) from the intersection and hit 1,118.50 going airborne at 124.

Los Árboles Speed Trap - A800 Modern Sports Cars - 132 mph - Starting from the U bend going down toward the trap, hit 136.62 with the 2008 BMW. Got to 130 with the Audi starting farther back around the bend, but couldn't hit the weekly target. Alpine didn't accelerate fast enough.

Switchbacks Speed Zone - A800 Modern Sports Cars - 94 mph - Managed 94.72 with the weekly Audi going downhill, starting from the left bend by the weekly Danger Sign. Easily clears the 75 mph 2 star target for the 2nd chapter of the weekly challenge. Kept getting 91-93 on an uphill approach. Alpine had more leeway, getting 98.07 on a downhill approach. BMW couldn't handle the turns.

Hohloma Flats in the Forzathon shop. Managed all 3 PR stunts with the weekly challenge car - 2014 HSV Gen-F GTS (842 144 426). Didn't realize it was eligible at first, so did them with other cars.

Trial - Road - B700 Daily Drivers - Used the 2013 Subaru BRZ (772 055 239). Started 1st race as 4th person, so had to do some maneuvering around teammates and AI early on, but managed to get up to 3rd part way through the first lap behind a couple AI. Got ahead of them coming out of the first hairpin of the 2nd lap. Someone in an Audi S1 went neck and neck with me for a bit, I was faster on straights but they could take turns better, so they got ahead. Team finished 1-3 (me 2nd), 6, 7, 12. Second race, started as 1st person. Got into the lead pretty quickly, then the Audi caught me. Team finished 1-3 (me 2nd), 5, 9, 10. Same top placements in both races, the Audi, then me, then someone in another Subaru BRZ.

Bulevar Speed Trap - A800 Modern Muscle - 160 mph - Used the 2015 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat (589 050 516). Starting from the bend south of El Pípila Scramble, I hit 169.98. Only hit 152 starting from El Pípila Scramble, so figured I needed a longer run up. Hit 163.59 with the 2014 HSV Gen-F GTS. Couldn't handle the turns coming from the north.

Northern Passage Speed Trap - A800 Modern Muscle - 170 mph - Starting from the Guanajuato Expedition west of the trap, the Challenger Hellcat squeaked by with 171.01. Fell around 20 mph short starting closer from the Festival Gatecrash and couldn't handle the turns from the east. Also didn't handle slaloming around the trees from the hill on an east approach. 2014 HSV Gen-F GTS hit 174.11.

Ringroad Speed Zone - A800 Modern Muscle - 92 mph - Starting from the intersection past the west end of the zone, hit 92.72 and 92.32 with the Challenger Hellcat. Couldn't make it coming from the east starting from the Estadio Circuit. Also hit 94.21 with the 2018 Ford Mustang GT (163 310 707) going west to east and 94.27 with the 2014 HSV Gen-F GTS.

Never dropped below the target through that run.

Trial - Road - A800 M Sport Vs AMG -Used the 2008 BMW Z4 M Coupé (434 156 224). A lot of bumping and shoving this week, from both teammates and AI. First race, started as 3rd person. Got up to 5th pretty quickly, teammate in lead, then 2 AI and a teammate ahead of me. Passed the 2 AI. Actually got a "Sorry" from a teammate that shoved me into a wall and passed me in the 3rd lap. Was able to get ahead of them again. Team finished 1-4 (me 3rd), 6, 8 to win. A lot more shoving in the 2nd race, particularly at the start - was nearly pushed off the bridge. Ended up at the back of the human pack and the cluster at the hard right around the quarter mark held me back. Was able to get past the AI, but my teammates were too far ahead, aside from someone who apparently messed up. Team finished 1-5 (me 5th) and 8 to win.

Snowy Mountain Pass Rally EventLab - A800 Rally Monsters - Point to point, took me 4:29, no AI. Narrow track with tight turns. Would've probably been a nightmare if there had been AI, though they probably would've had a rough time with some stretches.

Neon Nights Devil's Rush EventLab - S1 900 Super GT - This is on EventLab Island. 2 laps, about 2:30 per, 5 AI. Used the 2017 Ferrari 812 Superfast (332 517 723). Another narrow track with some tricky spots. Couple AI were pesky, finally got into the lead around 2/3 to 3/4 through the 2nd lap thanks to some wall riding.

Colina Danger Sign - A800 Super Saloons - 853 feet - Cleared all the stunts with the 2018 Audi RS 4 Avant (199 381 540), then checked and saw it was an exclusive car (seasonal event, Forzathon shop). So I also did them with the 2013 Audi RS 7 Sportback (169 684 545). Starting from the Fuera del Camino Trail, the Avant went airborne at 162 mph and hit 994.68. The Sportback went airborne at 157 and hit 863.34.

Escarpment Speed Trap - A800 Super Saloons - 130 mph - Starting from the Hilltop Descent, Avant hit 139.03 and Sportback 142.39. Starting from the Rush Outpost, the Avant hit 131.68. The Sportback fell just short, but backing up to the base of the Basejump Danger Sign, it hit 134.63.

Polytunnels Drift Zone - A800 Super Saloons - 100k - Starting from the intersection just north of the zone, the Avant hit 149,230 and the Sportback 132,928. Starting from the traffic circle to the south, the Avant hit 152,042 and the Sportback 136,335.

Dragon's Fall Speed Trap - S1 900 <200k credits - 290 mph (3 stars is 230) - This one is tricky. I managed 290.02 with a 2015 Chevrolet Corvette Z06, but that was only once on multiple tries and kept tweaking and didn't get a share code for the version that hit it. If you have the 2020 Porsche Taycan Turbo S "Welcome Pack" version, you can get it with a rally suspension swap. I hit 293.68 and 293.78 starting from the little bit of the track that juts outs near the Dragon's Fall Speed Circuit. Couldn't do it stock because of scraping the underside. Series 37, Spring (Hot) - Sep 5 - Sep 12

Trial - Dirt - A800 AWD Super Saloons - Bad Trial this week. Quit out on the first race twice. None of my existing tunes seemed to handle well, though the quits were driven more by teammates. First try was with a 2008 BMW M3 with offroad tires and only 3 teammates. Got shoved mid-race while we were 4-6, so quit. Second try, in the 2018 Audi RS 4 Avant, someone deliberately shoved me when I tried to pass on a straight with no one else around, nearly making me miss a checkpoint. So I rammed him back. I considered the matter settled, but he decided to continously ram me. I tried to focus on the race, but team was 2-4 and 10-12. I was 11th, shover was 12th and someone else had fallen back. I quit out approaching the finish so the team would get the win. Third attempt was with the 2013 Audi RS 7 Sportback (169 684 545). Started 3rd person both races. First hard left at 5% was a cluster, just like the prior attempt. Things spread out a bit, but someone kept taking turns hard into the wall, ramming me once, making it tough for me to catch the leaders. Passed some AI to finish top half. Team finished 1, 3-5 (me 5th), 7, 12. Second race, the wall hitter clocked me again, so I spent most of the race trying to play catch up. Got up to 6th right near the end, but the AI handled a turn better, dropping me a couple spots and falling a few seconds short of finishing. Team was 1, 2, 4, 5, 8 (me, DNF), 12 (wall hitter). Glad it's out of the way.

SZ 2.11 EventLab - A800 Super Hot Hatch - 2 laps, little over 2 minutes per, 1 AI. Used the 2018 Honda Civic Type R (114 061 290). A lot of hairpins and sometimes tough to read the minimap because of the turns and different levels in Guanajuato. Got into first against the lone AI coming out of the first hard turn and stayed ahead except a couple times when mishandling an unexpected turn.

Ark Seacoast Drift Town EventLab - S1 900 Super Saloons - This is on EventLab Island. 2 laps, little under 2 minutes per, 11 AI. Used the 2015 Infiniti Q60 Concept (753 282 714). Got into first early in the second lap. Fell behind on the final hairpin of the 2nd lap, but got ahead again on the 2nd last turn.

Desierto Viviente Speed Zone - B700 Hot Hatch - 85 mph - Used the 2003 Volkswagen Golf R32 (149 860 237). Starting from the intersection south of the zone, hit 86.78. Starting from the bend north of the zone, past the intersection, hit 89.49. The zone thankfully gave some leeway when cutting corners.

Cordillera Speed Zone - B700 Hot Hatch - 90 mph - Starting from the bend north of the west end of the zone, hit 93.40. Starting from the intersection past the east end, hit 91.56.

Granjas Trailblazer - B700 Hot Hatch - 18 seconds - Started from the bend west of the start gate. Tried following the paved road until it turned left to build up speed, like my usual attempts, but kept getting right around 17 seconds, a full second short. Part of the problem was the car had trouble jumping the empty stream bed near the end, coming to a near stop when landing. So I tried aiming straight for the finish from the start, though getting onto the paved road approaching the stream to go over the bridge. That worked, cleared with 22.123 seconds left.

Tip for today's daily - the car has to be a convertible with a roof that can open and close in game. Series 38, Summer (Hot) - Sep 12 - Sep 19

Friday's daily can be completed in the Hide and Seek challenge. Monday's daily can be completed with the Street championship.

Trial - Dirt - B700 UK - Another tough Trial, though the first race is the worst. It's probably worse than the Volcán Sprint road race that snakes up the east side of the volcano. But if you lose, stick it out, because the other races are much more manageable.

I first tried with a 2017 Jaguar F-Pace S, but it didn't accelerate well enough. First race, started as the 3rd person. Was able to wall ride my way to second place, but the rest of the team finished 4, 8 and 10 with 2 drops to lose. Second race, started last, with team finishing 3 (me), 4, 9 and 10 to lose again.

Second attempt was in the 1961 Jaguar E-Type (901 114 137). Tried to go with acceleration and speed. Handling was a bit worse than the F-Pace, braking is poor. Started 2nd last, missed a checkpoint at one point and everyone else was doing poorly and dropped out. Finished last, then won the next 2 races to win the Trial. Second race, was able to do well on the paved portions, AI closed the gap on the dirt parts on the north side of the route, then I pulled away again on the paved part. Third race, I got up to 3rd by the midpoint, which would've been enough to win on points. Caught the leaders around 80% to win outright.

Tried again, bringing a 2020 Land Rover Defender 110 X (170 904 868) up to B class. First race, started as the 2nd person. Got into the lead around the 20% mark, teammate passed me, then missed a checkpoint and left. I went back and forth with a couple different AI and managed to win it. Rest of the team finished 4, 8, 10 and 11 for a team loss. Second race, started 2nd last. Got up to 3rd pretty quickly, with a couple teammates ahead. They were in Minis and I could've shoved my way past them, but didn't push it. Team took top 3 (me in 3rd), 6th and 11th to win. Third race, same situation, myself and 2 teammates in top 3, but I missed a checkpoint on the right turn around 20%. I was along the wall, and the vehicle certainly seemed wide enough to hit the flag, but the game didn't think so and it took a while to bring up the rewind prompt. So I ended up in last. My teammates settled into the top 4 spots and I was able to pass the AI and we finished 1-5.

Meereen Creek Oasis EventLab - B700 Modern & Retro Rally - This is on EventLab Island. 4 laps, little under a minute per, 11 AI. Used the 2004 Subaru Impreza WRX STI (562 805 800). Got into the lead near the end of the first lap and was able to create some separation. Route marker doesn't connect the end of the lap and you'll get a phantom rewind prompt when you approach the final turn.

Boardwalk Danger Sign - A800 Mitsubishi - 328.1 feet (3 stars is 300) - Used the 1999 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution VI GSR (557 180 090). Starting from the dirt / paved Y intersection west of the sign and following the driving line, I hit 367.39. Went airborne at about 100 mph.

Punto de Vista Speed Zone - A800 Mitsubishi - 80 mph - Starting from the intersection past the east end of the zone, I hit 84.52. Starting partway down the hill past the west end, I hit 81.85.

Cat's Out of the Barn - Road - A800 Barn Finds - No problems with the 1999 Dodge Viper GTS ACR (355 384 940). Tried the 1973 BMW first because I had that tuned. Barely won the first race, got up to second in the 2nd race. Noticed the entire field was the Viper, so I dropped my S1 tune to A class and restarted the championship.

Trial - Street - A800 Japan - Used the 2018 Honda Civic Type R (114 061 290). First race, started last. Moved up to about 3rd, but might've taken the early turns a bit too cautiously, because I fell back to 7th behind a lead AI and the rest of the team. Team all got past that lead AI, and while I could've passed the teammate in 5th, I stayed in 6th to hold back the AI. Was doing well at that until the very end, when an AI shot past me. Team finished 1-5 and 7th (me) to win. Second race, started as 2nd person. Got up to 4th behind 2 AI and a teammate pretty quickly. Another teammate passed me, then the teammates ahead of me took the hard turn near the airport entrance wide while I handled it more cleanly. Good trip down the hill, but couldn't catch the lead AI. Team finished 3-6 (me 3rd), 8, 9 to win.

Between the road spray and lighting, it can be tough to see the road and driving line at times.

Cannonball Danger Sign - S1 900 Chevrolet - 721.8 feet (3 stars is 600) - Used the 2020 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray Coupé (265 421 874). Starting from the Copper Canyon Sprint icon and going airborne at 189 mph, I hit 757.63. Was a bit over 190 on the approach, but bounced to lose a little speed.

Right on the Money - Cross Country - A800 > 100k CR - This one was a real pain. Tried 3 or 4 different cars / tunes on the first race. Off road cars got outrun by AI sports cars that could handle the turns on a dime. Trying faster cars ended up taking turns way too wide. Finally got a win with the 2017 Bentley Continental Supersports (105 065 395). Second race wasn't too bad, got into the lead and went back and forth with some AI. Could usually outrun them on straights, then lose ground on turns, with a number of rewinds. An Alfa Romeo S33 decided to rubber band me at the very end, but I managed to block it out. In the last race, that Alfa Romeo decided it didn't want to be caught. Did a restart and was able to keep close to it on the second attempt, then shoved it into the barrier at the end of the first lap, dropping it back to last. Had to battle for first for the rest of the race, but managed the win.

Series 38, Winter (Dry) - Sep 26 - Oct 3

Trial - Cross Country - A800 USA - Used the 1992 Ford Escort RS Cosworth (405 092 033). Only had 4 in the team, with one person quitting at the start of the first race. First race, started as the second person. Was going well, up to third coming out of the initial descent, but messed up the sweeping right turn ascending the next hill and dropped back. Wasn't able to recover and team finished 1, 7 (me) and 8 to lose. Second race, started first. Person that won the first race in a 1967 Corvette got out in front and I managed to get up to 3rd and fought with a Warthog until passing it on the final trip through the stadium. Team finished 1, 2 (me), 5 to win. Third race, started as second person. Corvette got into an early lead again, I jostled with some AI through the early portion but got to second and created some separation. Team finished 1, 2 (me), 7 to win and take the Trial.

Decided to tweak my 1967 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray 427 (128 287 374) to give that a try. Was pretty solid, though was teamed with someone in a Bone Shaker. First race, started second. Unfortunately the drivatar right in front of me didn't move, so I ran into it and the Jeep Trailcat behind me ran up on top of me and rolled. Still, made up ground on everyone except the Bone Shaker. Team finished 1, 2 (me), 4 (Trailcat), 5, 8, 11 to win. Second race, started as the 4th person. Again, Bone Shaker blew everyone away. I got up to 4th behind teammates, then 3rd. On the turn on the hill early in the 3rd lap, I tried to cut inside of the person ahead of me and they shoved me and I missed a checkpoint. Didn't rewind fast enough, so 1 rewind left me in a spot where I couldn't make that checkpoint, so I needed a 2nd rewind. That put me back around 9th. Still managed to get up to 5th. Team finished 1, 2, 4, 5 (me), 8, 10 to win.

Miniracers - Family Room EventLab - C600 Classic Rally - This is on EventLab Island. 3 laps, little under a minute, 11 AI. Used the 1983 Volvo 242 Turbo Evolution (209 662 367). Some tight turns that may require rewinding, but a pretty straightforward race. Got into first about 2/3 through the first lap. Never really got into the creation stuff, didn't realize they had that kind of stuff available.

Trébol Speed Zone - A800 Ford - 200 mph - Used the Barn Find 1968 Ford Mustang GT 2+2 Fastback (264 759 381). Starting from the east where the expressway becomes a divided highway, I hit 213.51. Entered the zone around 206. Starting from the interchange west of the zone, between the Llanuras and Marigold Sprints, I hit 203.16. Shorter approach and a little uphill, so entered the zone around 183. For a non-Barn Find car, it took me a few tries, but I managed 200.80 with the 2014 Ford #11 Rockstar F-150 Trophy Truck (575 074 100) going east to west. Bit tricky staying on the road on the curves approaching the end. Couldn't manage it going west to east.

Las Dunas Drift Zone - A800 Ford - 130k - Using the Fastback and starting from the intersections past each end of the zone, I hit 148,578 going west to east and 169,811 going east to west. For a non-Barn Find, used the 2018 Ford Mustang GT (163 310 707, awarded by the Street championship). Did 170,563 going west to east and 177,218 going east to west. Car wasn't fast enough for the Speed Zone.

What did you use for this? I held off on trying it until today, since doing an EventLab is today's daily, but both of them say I have no eligible cars in my Garage or Autoshow.

TA posted the Hide and Seek achievements. Six are accolades, thankfully that one for winning as Hider while staying under 60 mph is not one of them. Two (50 streak and Chase Breaker) have stats tracked under badges, so they should all autopop when the update comes out. Win as each doesn't appear to be tracked in the visible stats. Currently have a streak of 8, will need to spend some time getting to 50. Haven't seen all the arenas yet.

Needs to be X class. The lamborghini Sesto Forza Edition might be the only eligible car. Should be an easy to find tune. Try the practice version 1st. This track is challenging, but fun. Thanks for posting the achievements. I'm hoping this is the final achievement update.

I recognized the Sesto on the splash screen, but only have stock tuned ones in my garage. Its stock is 998, only a minor tweak to get to X. I guess it's a bug that the game won't give you an explicit list of what's eligible for an EventLab if you don't have one and it's not an autoshow car.

I tried the practice one and gave up. Some of the landings didn't give much opportunity to line up for the next section. After rewinding a few times with the percentage in the teens, I decided to just continue on from a dead stop at a section and apparently didn't have enough momentum to make the next jump and fell. Figured I'd get placed back on the track, but ended up on the flat surface beneath. Tried to follow the driving line, got a missed checkpoint prompt, rewound and apparently went through the checkpoint flags far above. Continued on, missed another checkpoint and the game put me back up on the track. But again, that start and accompanying booster didn't give me enough momentum to clear the next jump, hit the wall just below the landing and fell again. I just quit out at that point rather than restart from the beginning.

Maybe I'll try it at another point.

Missed that a couple of the achievements weren't tied to accolades or badges - the ones for winning as Hider and Seeker. I've edited my post to reflect that. Hope they autopop with the rest. Wouldn't mind if they added more achievements. Since they didn't add new achievements to FH4 to have that finish with a 500 or 000 total, who knows what they'll do with FH5.

Hider is way too overpowered in this game. I was lucky to pull off wins as seeker before people knew what they were doing (hopefully retro-active achievements). Hopefully they add another power to seeker or decrease the slowdown that the hider gets to use. All of the other achievements seem easy. Lay of the Land may be the hardest since you have no say where to start. And playing 50 games of this seems tedious, but easy.

I think there's only 3 locations, so Lay of the Land isn't difficult ( I already got it). Never back down, The Hidden, and Catching a Break ( In one game? ) seem to be the most difficult.

Oh, if that is an accolade I already got Lay of the Land then. I am pretty sure Catching a Break will be a total in multiple games of Hide and Seek, it is just weirded poorly. You should easily get The Hidden trying to get The Streak achievement, I just finished my streak of 20 and have already been the hider five times.

I wasn't sure how many locations there were, since the accolade for it doesn't have a counter. I've played 8 matches so, playing once or twice in Playa Azul and the rest in Guanajuato. Saw in discussions that Mulege was a location, but didn't know if they would've tried something with the Baja outpost, abandoned airport, Ek' Balam or just a random jungle spot.

The achievements don't show on XBL yet, but TA has picked them up. Catching a Break is worth 50 GS instead of 30, giving the update a total score of 250 GS.
