blah wasnt raw in focus bundle?

It comes with a DRM-free download, and activates on Steam? That's a first.
Yeah, first time I've seen this. Good way to cater to both of GG's audiences. Somewhat often GG's sales aren't worth mentioning since they have a DRM-Free/direct-download version where we are expecting steam keys.

Nice!! :D

Especially for something sold on a digital download distributor!

I expect DRM-FREE Version download + Steam key activation when buying from dev's directly, which is what some Indie dev's do like Fullbright does w/ Gone Home; and sometimes from game-bundles (on HB, Groupees, etc ).
Nod. Not making your customer rebuy for another platform is the right thing to do. e.g. for that game I'd also point out that it's available on the humble store, which will also net you the Android version (and Mac/Lin drm-free) when they are released.

Anybody here ever play Last Remnant? That game's always intrigued me.
I played it, but only about an hour. The game mechanics are somewhat... I don't know how to call it, maybe bizarre, but in the good sense. Is not a game you can play between games so easily, that's why I abandoned it until I finished some other games. I should get back to it sometime soon.

At that price, just grab it, if you like that kind of games (I do)

Uh, the game's MSRP on Steam and Gamersgate is $20.

66% off $20 is 13.20. What do you have left? $6.80.
Since the fiasco last year, GamerGate's new method seems to be to put a game up for a select price point and then backfigure the sale from there. So, instead of accidentally doubling the 75% sale on a $20 game (20-75%=5-75%=$1.25 Oops!) they would go $5 + 300%+300%= $80 game at 94% off or something silly like that.

That's just for an example but the upshot is that you can see some strange MSRPs and discount percentages until they work out that day's bugs.

Well, seeing as I don't have a console, this is one of the few JRPGs for pc I know of.

JRPGs can be very love/hate with me. I enjoyed Chrono Cross, Star Ocean Till the End if Time, and Shadow Hearts, but not a huge fan of the FF series. To be honest, Chrono Trigger may be the only JRPG I could bring myself to finish.

it happen feew times already they had it sale for 85cents for front misson evolve and 2.13 for cchivlry so

Yeah, I'm not saying it's foolproof and I don't know why some low price errors continue to get through.  But the "Video Game is $4.99 -- 82% off $28.30!" goofiness (later corrected to $4.99 -- 75% off $20) started after the last winter sale so that seems to be what's going on.

Or, you know... GamersGate. :?: :whistle2:k :?:

Not myself, sorry. I do have a friend/coworker who has every achievement in the game on the 360... That's about 250 hour process while following a walk through so you don't make a mistake... So there is certainly something in the game to love. (The game can be finished much quicker than that and is unique enough to consider playing/owning at that price if you like JRPGs. .)

It was 73% off of $24.99 when he posted that.

Okay, my bad. Sorry!

I just remembered I have that 20% discount on my GG account from Borderlands/Bethesda-gate. It expires on Dec. 31. I just used it once or twice on a couple of cheap adventure game packs.

everytime this happens it makes me so fuqing salty i bought all these games on gog for 20 bucks and still haven't touched them and probably won't for awhile

That said, this is a phenomenal deal. Every game in here is pretty high quality, and some of them (BG 1/2, Planescape Torment) are amongst the greatest and most influential rpgs of all time

D&D Anthology Master Collection if $5 again (75% off):
http://www.gamersgate.com/DDB-DBAMC/dungeons-and-dragons-anthology-the-master-collection

Includes DRM-FREE Versions of:
Planescape: Torment
Baldur's Gate 1 (base game) + Tales of the Sword Coast (expansion)
Baldur's Gate 2: Shadows of Amn (base game) + Throne Of Bhaal (expansion)
Icewind Dale 1 (base game) + Heart of Winter (expansion)
Icewind Dale 2
Temple of Elemental Evil
Incredible price for that bundle. I bought it on Gamestop at that price, but their backup system is broken since 1957 and they always say "we are fixing it" xD

I almost have them all on GOG too, otherwise I'll be all over the GG pack

I own ALL of these from retail, except BG1: Tales of the Sword Coast expansion.

The good thing if I re-bought most of this - it'd be a hell of a lot easier to download & install from Gamersgate; and store them (the installer files) on my external HDD's. Plus they'd all be DRM-FREE - we all know how much I <3 DRM-FREE.

That sure would beat having ALL of these games on TONS of CD's (which is how I bought them, ages ago).

One problem is - I really don't know when the hell I'd actually take the time to replay any of these. :(

The other problem is - I know sometime down the line, I'd probably end-up buying BG1: Enhanced + BG2: Enhanced - meaning, if I bought from GG and then bought the EE editions later on, I'd have actually bought the BG series NUMEROUS times!

Yeah, buying games numerous times can be annoying.

Example:

Yeah, I've already wound-up w/ Divine Divinity multiple times.

Already owned Divine Divinity from Retail;

bought it from GameStop PC App (when Remastered version came out);

and then got it again FREE from GOG.

EDIT:

Even despite most of this, I'm still tempted to buy D&D Master Collection here for $5.

Oh - what to do, what to do?

{jumps up and down}

Yeah, but still...it's never gonna get cheaper than this, and even if you look at BG 1/2 as a sunk cost, that's five bucks for Icewind dale 1/2 , planescape, and TOEE

Can't beat that

you're looking at less than a penny/hr that you're spending on the entertainment you could get out of those four games

All of which I already own at retail:

Icewind Dale 1 + expansion + IWD + Planescape + TOEE + BG1 + BG2 Complete.

I'm really only missing BG1: Tales of the Sword Coast expansion.

The only thing making me wanna jump still is storing the files in one clip, which I could put all of this on my external HDD's; and also they'd all be DRM-FREE.

Other things:

TOEE (been installed for a while) w/ CO8 Mod pack boots for me w/out disc in the drive.

PS:T, I've also had installed and modded - and done really nothing of much with.

Can't beat that

Yeah - if I didn't own 95% of this already, I'd probably instantly jump!

I'm still tempted, just so I don't gotta dig the discs out for many of these.

EDIT:

You know what's good?

I still got 6 days or so to think about leaping on this deal or not...

WHAT STORE??????
Hmmmm, for all them D&D games - wow, I think I remember some of them.

BG1 (base game) -> It was EB Games, IIRC.

BG2: SOA -> See above. But, I specifically remember buying it from a EB down when I was on vacation in Pensacola, Florida. It was bundled w/ the Brady Guide for $20. I looked at it - and the damn things both looked like they barely been touched. And I remember asking the clerk if I could return it to a local EB in my area (in Massachusetts), if I had any issues - he said yes. So, I instantly jumped. This was back when they were selling some PC games in the USED section; before DRM became a thing.

BG2: TOB -> Ahhh, my local WalMart's - back when they carried a good assortment of PC games.

Planescape: Torment -> Dad bought that as an XMas Present for me, that year. Bought it from GameStop.com for somewhere around either $25-30 + free shipping, IIRC.

TOEE -> I bought it from KB Toys, when they were going out of business and clearing out everything. Real cheap - I think I paid like $10 or so for it.

Icewind Dale Collection (IWD1 + HOW & IWD2) -> Gogamer.com had it. I think I spent like $25 for it or so.

I remember I bought some PC games at a KB Toys outlet in Texas a good 20 years ago now? Phantom of the Opera, Gazillionaire, and a really great football game that I can't remember. In giant boxes. I never shopped EB or Gamestop too much for PC games since I always found them to be too expensive. I might have bought Stubbs the Zombie there though. I used to do Circuit City for PC games before they closed. It's where I bought Ubersoldier.
