Gears of War 3 - Release Date Sept. 20

Yeah. Unfortunately, people would still quit out after 10 waves. It'd make getting the achievements more attainable, though.

Also, if you're looking to rank up, playing Horde and Beast this weekend would be a good way to do it (if you have people to play with).

The reason a lot of people are Green Levels is because in December they had a 4x XP for a few days. Also, getting Medals helps the jump in rank.
 
personally, I find playing 'stranded' to be better for me.

one, no unfair party advantage. two, natural skills for individual players seems to shine. third, seems like less chance of lag disadvantage/advantage. fourth, players [strangers] that are able to work together immediately usually win.

so I do hope the 'stranded' option will continue to exist.

Bringing Guardian back was nice though. More gameplay options, more better.

So any rumors of Season Pass # 2, yet?
 
I love playing guardian. If i play on Jacinto or Cove i just rush the leader right away. Jacinto i take the back way through mortar, then cut through by pistol and up their front stairs. Bam leader is usually trying to plant a nade or by the nade room if i manage to sneak past everyone. Killed at least 3 leaders today like that, one match i did that the first two rounds, all in about 20 seconds. lol

Cove i just go towards boom/torque but then cut through by nade/ink and go through the same way on the other side and try to get the leader while everyone is focusing on boom/torque. Got the leader at least once like that today.

I may not have the greatest K/D in guardian but i am pretty good at killing the leader, or staying alive as the leader.

Got a funny message too today. Someone said "virgin?" and thats it. IDK why he sent that, maybe because i have red wings? But that wouldnt make much sense since he was a red 60 something. lolwut?
 
Double XP is still happening today. If people want to play [Insane] Horde, you'd get a lot of XP for it, especially with the Hard Mutators active.

anybody want to horde on the new maps? I have mutators to run through them as quickly as possible? was thinking No ammo pickups, inf ammo, and super reload on casual? Hit me up if you see me online. I'm not the best but then again, I don't have anybody to play with that has the DLC ;_; lol
 
The custom Gnasher skin was pretty sweet looking, that one should be permanent and available on all guns. Would have loved to have seen the lancers and the SOS with that skin.
 
oooooooooo i noticed today the new maps are showing up when going to the Horde playlist. I had Jacinto and Cove show up! It was voted for BUT the lag in the game was atrocious :(

If you two want to play, I still need to do the Forces of Nature Horde and Beast Achievements as well. We'd need 2 more for the Lambent Berzerker achievement, but I could setup a guest controller to get us to 4. We'd just need another player in that situation.
 
I would be down. I do have a second controller but after we are done with that acheesement I would prefer if I didn't have to split screen. (small tv) only problem is my schedule is not so fantastic. Probably not able tonight but tomorrow(tuesday) I should be fine. My mic keeps cutting in and out so hope that's ok. Just send me a friend request on live.
 
I still dont understand how someone can be 10 feet away and down me with one gnasher shot thats not even active. I cant even remember a time when i got a one shot down in the same situation. I have to put 2+ shots into guys even when i have an active reload. Its just so annoying when opponents shots are twice as powerful.

Also i fucking hate the inks now. Every fucking game ink stun over and over and over. its so fucking cheap. They need to fix that shit quick because its fucking stupid as hell.

I'd be okay playing at 10PM EST, I just don't know if 100xp and Ashes would. If so that's 4 players.

Does anyone know a good map to play Horde on with the Forces of Nature maps?
 
I'm down, that would be 7pm pacific time for me. I believe I'm friends with Jdawgg on live but hit me up when im on. Again, my mic sucks, brand new too. I can hear people but talking doesn't go through so if that's ok. im good. I can play for 2 or 3 hours.

I could be wrong, but I think they pulled 2x XP today. I wasn't getting nearly as many points today as yesterday.

I'm on right now. My gamertag is the same as what I'm posting with. I should be on for the next few hours, so let me know if you're still interested.

Also, if any of you still need to get the Silverback Rocket kills, let me know and I'll buy that for you. Just give me your money until I hit 22,500 to buy it. I just don't know if it'd be better to wait until we unlock the 20 rounds without dying or going down achievement, or doing it early. I feel like it could backfire, but I'm still willing to buy it for people.

late nights are fine, it's just been really hectic this week during tax season, spring, and relatives from out of the country visiting. if i'm on, im always down just send me a msg. i should be on tonight around 10pmish for some horde.

Do you have to have at least 2 players to earn ribbons in private mode? I need about 5 ribbons to get them all and get the achievement and since I don't ever play wingman, capture the leader and king of the hill, I figured I might try to get them on private.
 
CAGs if you are online and need someone for horde or beast ... HIT ME.. I'm always down for some horde and beast.. I need the achs. anyway.. .

i havent played on any of the new maps yet, i basically just downloaded the DLC, looked at what was unlocked, and then went back to ME3. Checking my schedule, I should be on by 11pm EST.
 
Anyone who wants the Force Multiplier achievement better finish today or it is going to get a lot harder. Epic is moving guardian into all the maps so it will be 5/25maps to get a FON map. (win guardian match on all 5 FON maps)

If anyone wants to play maybe we can get a CAG group for this and I've got this.
 
Sorry I never made it last night. I fell asleep waiting for the storms to pass. Hope to be online tonite, but got more storms going on right now and promised the wife I'd watch a movie with her so it'll be later for me.

If you don't get much of a response here, try posting on the Gears of War 3 forums. Post under the Gears of War 3 sub-forum, or use the Gears of War 3 Achievements and Unlocks section. Because of the impending change I'm sure you'd get response for help much faster there.
 
I can play tonight (like right now) as well. If any of you can upgrade the silverback to rockets, then that'd be cool because I only need about 200 more kills.

that was probably the most painless 50 waves of horde ever...thanks guys. even managed to get the repair bill on casual for Baird. I'm now 50 waves away from onyxing the horde wave medal thing. I'm down for beast whenever + whatever else there is to do to help smack those cheevos.

If people want to try to get 5 LE Mechanic Bairds or Commando Doms together to kill a Lambent Beserker, I'd be interested in doing this tonight.

I still need to get the Beast Maps done as well.

I also have 29/30, and don't think I missed an Event...but it's weird to think people would only glitch one or two ribbons.

According to the event calendars at both TrueAchievements and X360A, there have been 29 events. I'm pretty confident that that is the number.

Not that it matters too much anyway. I'll just be glad to have it done. :D

Exactly. An achievement and one more Onyx medal, which includes a generous 30,000 XP.

But over on those forums people were getting into some text exchanges about who had it 'legit' or not. Sad...

i should be on late for beast and horde stuff. If we do 50 waves of horde however I might not be able to do much beast after that.

Yeah, I didn't intend the "legit" comment as a slam on anyone who already has the achievement. After all it was Epic's mistake and not the fault of any players. I just think it's kind of cool that my achievement is going to pop on the actual 30th event. :)
