Gears of War 3 - Release Date Sept. 20

So i pre-ordered Gear 3 from Amazon for the $20 credit.
I enjoyed Gears 2, a CAG help me play thur it and finished it and did some MP with some friends, though when 3 comes out hopefully I can find some CAGs to teach me the finer points of the MP as im not the best but would love to learn since most of my friends played 2 and the 3 beta.

Does anywhere have a GC/Credit for the Gears LE?

I played a ton ton ton ton! of Gears 1 multiplayer when I got on xbox live. Thats all I did for months. Gears 2 came out and I was extremely let down how it played online even after patches. Now I've gotten use to the playing style so I do enjoy it a lot but no where near gears 1. I need to beat Gears 2 on Co Op insane if anyone is interested shoot me a PM or something.

Gears 3 multiplayer reminds me a lot of 1 so that is why I'm so excited. I'll be picking up the console edition and epic edition and giving 1 copy of the game to my brother.

After Gears 3 its Arkham City then Skyrim....not sure what will be after Skyrim. I wanna get Prey 2, Rage, MW3 at some point but skyrim.......lotta time spent there.
 
Speaking of. . . Has anyone been able to con Amazon into 20 credit for buying the gears console as it does come with Gears 3?

Also has far as games this fall. I want Gears and Uncharted. That's really it. I lloooooved U2 multi-player (mostly coop) so I'm super excited.

Wife just gave the ok to buy the new Gears 360 If I sell the old one *250slim* But the more I think Bout it I think I will hold off on it bc it will be right around x-mas time and everyone wants your money then so I'm sure someone will have a crazy deal for that set-up. * maybe I should go head a pre-order it just in case she tries to change her mind.
 
So there’s a chick in Gears 3 and I think it’s Anya from Gears 2. She’s wearing the armor. I have a problem with this. Now, I can see them wanting to add a chick because it’s a chick in the most roidrage fueled game ever made. On the other hand, it emasculates the men because she’s nearly the same size as they are (with the armor that is). Essentially, we’ve been led to believe that Marcus and Dom (as well as Baird and Cole to a certain extent) are these heroic gods of men that are single handedly taking on the brunt of the Locust attacks. Now, we see that the Carmines could essentially be the same people if they just put on the special armor… It just doesn’t work!

Anya also has no problem lifting a Locust in the air with her Retro Charge. Perhaps that's the surprise twist Cliffy B has been saving for the end of Gears of War 3.
Anya is a man.

FLASH FWD... CAGs How do you see your day going 9/20 or starting at 9/19 11:59pm?

I see my self in line at gamestop or bestbuy or walmart might to all 3 if they have a midnight spc. give away like GS did with GOW2.
I see my PTO being used at least 2 days. I want to run through the Story single player or co-op so the end isn't told to me in MP. That's release night! then release day Ill be all MP. WOOOOO!

Will get release-day shipping from Amazon, get into work at 6:30 and leave at 4. Play through the campaign with my friend all afternoon and all night, and take the next day off if we need to clean anything up.
 
It'd be nice if they gave whatever midnight madness bonus they give out at stores to customers that are getting Release Day Delivery from Amazon.
 
play.com only has the gold retro lancer for the uk. they have gametrader.com.au for australia but they said only 300 for them and you have Blockbuster Mexico will sell both the Reg. & Gold retro lancer. so if you know someone south of the border you may get a better deal.

*****Ps if you want the gears E3 tee's they just go some more in at hottopic or you can go through Amazon. but it still comes from hottopic.

I bought a new slim off craigslist this week, copied my data from my 20 gb hard drive onto an 8 gb thumb drive and then copied it to the new 250 gb drive.

How much info you got? are you going from slim to slim? you might have to do flash drive and keep doing that till you have everything. or I would just save all my game saves and re download any games I had.

I have a 120 that I got from my friends Elite when he upgraded to a Slim. I think it has around 50gb free without the installed games. The best thumbstick I can find around the house is a 2g so I was considering buying the transfer kit, but if I do that I might as well put the money to better use and get a 16gb flash drive.

if you have a gamestop around you, call and see if they have a used one for you to buy. You have 7 days to return it.


*Why do I want all the MP Skins but I know I will not use most of them even if I did have them?
 
If people are still after "Seriously..." from Gears of War you still have time to get it. You just need 6-8 players in a match.

Are there at least 7 other people on this site after it?

I still need to figure out where I'm ordering Gears 3 from. I have a lot of Amazon credit but UPS has made it a habit now of delivering packages to my house at ridiculously inconvenient hours and all packages require a signature and I know I'll want to be playing on release.

I'll be so disappointed if I come home to a delivery attempt notice.

It's practically unplayable now.

Hosts quit, so I only play games I host now (plus I never got the Host 50 Games achievement).
People glitch because they lack skill.
People stack the teams with 3 of their friends to ensure they don't lose, and if they're about to lose they glitch out of the map.
People quit when they lose round 1.

I have just over 4,700 kills, and have been playing since December of 2006. I played for a few weeks, but left when it became glitch-fest. Went back to it each summer since for a few days, but stopped playing for the same reason. I've had 4,000+ kills since 2007, and hate that I got so far, but can't bring myself to keep playing with the trash community Gears of War has.

I also hate boosting in general, but this is one achievement that's not worth playing in games when your kills won't count from quitters, or people will cheat to ensure they kill you. I just have to accept that I'll never unlock this achievement.
 
GOW 1 MP isn't dead and honestly rarely do host quit. I stopped playing in 07 with 7.5 kills and got back into two months ago and am currently at 12.6 k kills with no seriously still.
Glitching is also a problem on some maps but when you've played enough games you'll know who the glitchers are you usually run into the same guys over and over

I'm pretty sure its ANY achievement in Gears 1 and I believe getting level 100 in Gears 2, maybe completing the campaign too.

GoW PC is a joke, TBH. Players kick people for active reloading, saying it's "cheap." and it's really just not a game that translated well to the PC. Whiners aside, the mouse and keyboard really made it...almost too easy to kill each other in the game? Dodging is basically useless as people with mice are much more accurate than controller sticks.

you are prob. right I don't play pc games. not my thing. but I got to get my unlockables man! I'm all about the option.
 
I was able to buy the box set of the gears of war series 1 unopened for $85 but I want the singles! anyone want to trade or sell there unopened gears of war action figures?

Yeah, but don't you have to beat Lost Planet 2's campaign to earn the ability to replay it as Marcus and Dom (or any other character like Frank West or Albert Wesker)?

I'm actually debating buying Lost Planet 2 for that reason, but I really feel like a fool for buying it specifically to play as two characters that are not really connected to that game.
