Seriously? Lame. In other news... Epic and Microsoft must have a hard on for pissing off fans. I'm going to laugh my ass off if this is true because there's no point in getting angry over this shit anymore. The greed is so blatant only the most advanced rose colored glasses could spur someone to defend them. The best part about it is us DLC boycotters will have our ranks strengthened without lifting a finger. Here's hoping they think twice before nickle and diming us again.

Mean while someone says it's not the infected omen it's the crimson omen which is just the skin with the gears omen on it which was in the beta which as far as I knew was already an unlockable.

Anyone who bought the Epic Edition or GoW3 console for the IO skins and didn't think they'd ever be released is an idiot.

Apparently buying the 3600 weapon skin bundle automatically unlocks the pre-order exclusive Infected Omen skins supposedly exclusive for the controller (originally restricted to Lancer until they f*cked that up), Limited and Epic editions of the game when you boot it up.

Ahhh man I can't believe I missed it by just a few minutes. It's still listed as free, but if you try and download it, there's an error. Big bummer!
 
One can only hope the catastrophe continues. I want this DLC model to die a fiery death. The more fail the better chances we have of this remaining an isolated test case and in order for that to happen more casuals need to realize they are getting ripped off. Keep screwing up Microsoft! Grasp that brass ring damnit! Go for Veteran Gears unlocks next! Go Go Go!

Well it shouldn't matter if you've downloaded it already though because you'd still have that specific unlock.

I have to wait until Thursday because of Amazon.
 
If thats true, IO with any purchase, thats gunna sink my sale on ebay. Though my code im selling does come with adam fenix so hopefully ill get some money out of it.

i thought $5 to preorder was mainly for the character skin.
 
My weird issue with my connection stumped microsoft when I called, and they said they would send it to corporate, and that they had never seen anything like it. They said I should receive a call within 72 hours with a solution, and it's been 72 hours, and no call. I can't even play offline right now, so things don't look fun for me tomorrow. I'm VERY upset.

Thats pretty shitty, considering it was something that was originally in epic edition only, then they gave it to people who bought the 60 dollar controller, now its free for buying some guns? Wow. Way to screw people over again epic.

I just checked i still have the same amount of MS points as i did when i downloaded the free skin. He must have bought it thinking it was free without even looking.

Seems like the IO skins are only included in the $45 bundle. Still, before I redeem the IO code I'm trading for, I might purchase Deadly Cute just to make sure it doesn't unlock IO too. ;)

Yeah, I haven't been charged for Haze either. That dude is either just putting them on, or he downloaded it after the price had been restored and just didn't realize.

Sawed-off apparently still downs players with maxed health from a distance so users had better empty their XBL inboxes for the unbridled hate. Crystal clear underestimating the Lancer in this game will be your downfall so all you Gnasher of War 3 complainers have even LESS of an excuse to bitch about shotguns here. You were warned. It can compete with the Hammerburst from close to mid range for christ sakes which should speak for itself really. Speaking of going HAM the Burst is still plenty viable in it's ideal ranges. Yay. Retro is a 5 - 6 shot beast so "R.I.P. Beta Retro blind fire ;'(" douches can also LRN2HARDAIM or shut it for your sympathy is in another castle. Your gun has a five bullet active down regardless of where or what you're aiming at so why so bad, bro? Regardless I am fully prepared for burst fire strafing to be all the rage in a few weeks. Time will tell if it's a viable tactic.

Gears 3? DO WANT NOW.
 
Strafe firing won't be viable if you're better with the gnasher than they are with the retro regardless of range in my opinion.

After watching that video and seeing the sawed off I have to totally re-evaluate my use of the sawed off and its bullshit. I may end up rocking the gnasher mostly even though I love hiding around corners for stupid players, then again seeing someone who is bad trying to use the sawed off and shooting me from so far away and doing 0 damage while I chase them down with the gnasher as they frantically try and reload is fun too, I live having options.
 
I'm still maining the Sawed-off because I honestly want the hate. Then when I switch to different weapons at their snarky request and still kill them we'll both know who is the better player. I know I'll be spending a couple of games searching for Gnashers so I can have two shotguns to harass newbies with. ^_^
 
I can't see how you wouldn't get charged if you downloaded post-fix. I wouldn't chance it now. Also the devs stated the weapon vid I posted was NOT post TU1 and Sawed-off distance downing against full health players is gone. Ugh... I wish people would get their shit straight.
 
It seems like you can get XP/Ribbons/Medals in Private Matches against Bots. Unless they do it like Third Strike Online where every mode has separate challenges/ranks/etc.

You forget active shots still increase the range a bit AND that vid was apparently made while playing on a pre-TU1 build so I'm fully expecting the irritating shotgun whining to continue. It's still a two shot active down for what many consider mid-range and going to be a pain in the ass when everyone on my team refuses to switch weapons when chasing prey because they think they can snipe with it. More so when that accounts for about 50 - 75% of my FL (ugh).

Personally I'm content as not much has changed from the beta (they didn't modify the beta Gnasher in any way). I'm just not stupid enough to believe the complaints will disappear for good. On an unrelated note I want to profile report a friend of mine who's playing TDM sooooo bad right now, but that's just the epic jellyluzcee talking.

The fail continues only this time it has bled into unlocks and achievements. I can't go into details because the guy is thankfully keeping the exploit to himself, but expect to run into quite a few Golden COGs and people with the Socialite achievement online already. I'm honestly starting to wonder if Epic actually made this game or outsourced. Is the code really this screwed up? Some people received both for simply playing a handful of matches online.
 
They didn't change the Retro Lancer at all. This makes me very happy.

Every trick about the Retro in that video I already knew from the beta.

They increased the [retro] kickback when firing from the hip quite a bit, and just a little bit when zoomed in. Someone posted the video about the difference between the Beta and the game a few pages back in the thread, if I recall.

Doesn't mean the Retro isn't still deadly, though :cool:
