Yeah, I'm pretty sure we're looking at $300 for the console and another $300 for the tablet controller. It's got to be like $500-$600 set up. If Nintendo thinks they're going to sell a lot of those...I would like a little of what they are smoking, 'cause that shit mus' be strong.

I've been doing okay against them... it's just learning their moves and where to block, since I've never really fought either of them before. I know my chun/cammy/juri are probably rusty as hell... so I went back to basics, I think and went to my old main. :)

Well, if iPads can sell like hotcakes at $600, I'm sure somebody will be buying Wii U.

I can see their ad campaign now. . .

"It's like getting an iPad AND an HD Wii for one low price of 599 USD!!"
 
Wait, so the Wii-U can only use a single tablet controller? I guess that at least means you won't have to pay an arm and a leg for more of them.

Maybe some of those third party games announced can use the Classic Controller Pro. It's actually a pretty decent controller IMO. Still no 360 controller though.

If it didn't have to be plugged into a Wiimote to function it would be much better. It is indeed a solid controller though, can't imagine trying to play Monster Hunter with waggle.

Yeah, that's my main gripe as well. I hate having to plug it into a Wiimote. At least the cord is at the top of the controller instead of the bottom like the original classic controller though.
 
Classic controller is what Wii should've had as the main controller.

But without the stupid wired Wiimote tether.

I mean, how fucking hard would it have been to just make the controller a wireless bluetooth?

Should I get a gamefly subscription? I'm contemplating it cause I spend so much money on games. I wish there was a rental service that also did PC games (which I understand is impossible)

Yeah, I'm assuming that local multiplayer would require other types of controllers (wii-mote or classic controller).

I don't understand that about this new Wii U controller system. Why the hell can't you use more than 1 tablet?

Granted, it may be that it's possible, just not yet ready to show for the final product. Still, I would think that you should be able to use multiple tablets to stream the game off the controller.

I mean, if you don't have the horsepower to do that...then don't do it at all!

Otherwise, if it were my kids playing that thing, they'd be fighting all day over who got to use the tablet versus who got stuck with the wiimote.

But it's not a kiddie system. It's for hardcore gamers.
 
So yeah, I highly recommend Trine to everyone who likes 2d side-scrolling stuff.
Especially Joshy. I think what I like about this is what everyone else loves about Outland.
though I feel like he probably played it already :(

I do own it, and I've played a bit of it, but not enough to really get into it. I really should go back and play it. What little I played of it seemed promising.
