And anyone else surprised that RDR got GOTY?
Well... it's not an RPG, Halo or calladuty, but I'm still disappointed.
I don't think she's pretty at all, her face is ugly to me.

Fair enough.

And no.
How about some gameplay in my trailers?
There is no gameplay. They spent all their time making the trailers.

The whole thing's obviously rigged. I don't understand how they looked over the best game of 2010:

That's what I love about hentai girls. I get older but they just stay the same age.

lol @ windows 98 and ME compatibility. that's dedication to legacy OS
It's just a little pathetic when they say the best game of the year is one that's practically falling apart as you play it.
I'd take a great game with a ton of bugs over a perfect average game...

but whatever... RDR isnt my GotY anyway... i srsly don't know what I'd pick.

That's clever. I'm not sure I even want to point out the problem with this statement.
A little late, but lol the VGAs are painful to watch. No laughs from any of the jokes and juvenille jokes and skits for 12 year olds.
That's entirely the thrill of it. It's funny, because Spike writes all the jokes and everything -- the unfortunate presenters just have to read that dreck like it's their own invention. And you know that even they think it's all retarded.

What's up with the handshaking in Fable 3? I'm pretty into it, but if I have to handshake with every dang villager to get more XP or whatever those things are, that would be lame.

I wonder how much they get paid to read that crap.

It's really easy to be a good king and save everyone in Fable 3. Just buy every property, keep rates normal/low, have around 2 billion, and keep all your promises.

If you guys could post up some tips for Fable 3 to maximize my enjoyment and achievements out of the game, I would definitely appreciate it.

For achievements, the only one I can outright think of is that you need to remember that when you become a King and make decisions REMEMBER TO WEAR THE CHICKEN SUIT! I forgot about this and now I have to replay the game if I want to get it. As for stuff to maximize your enjoyment... You should get a wired controller, buy some houses and leave your console on for awhile so you amass a bunch of money, then go buy more houses and leave it for a while, repeat till you own everything and then leave it on and keep it going till you have around 2 billion. After that, you're fine and shouldn't have problems with anything.

Oh, and do every sidequest you can as soon as you see it. Some of them disappear.

The biggest disappointment for me as far as the VGA's go was the lack of mention of other highly worthy titles like Bayonetta and Heavy Rain. Hell, even Final Fantasy XIII wasn't brought up, wheter people liked it or not, it was still a pretty big game.

Uncharted 3  Biggest effin hype ever, cannot wait for this game to come out. I really do think it will be mind blowing, and Im eager to see how much they have improved over the sequel.

Oh and to finish this rant off, Donkey Kong Country returns is fun as hell, but damn if its not hard to play co-op.
Name one, plz.
Many, but to be stupid, DoAX2 had perfect and clean coding and yet is still average. There's alot of damn buggy AAA games. I think people forget the experience of something can outweigh the bugs.

Again, internet opinion rears its fuck ass (not talking about anyone).
Why the fuck are people playing Fable?
I started downloading Fable II since I set it on my dld que on my 360 when it was free but never had the space until tonight -_-

EDIT: Holy Shit!!!

2 Player Productions did the behind the scenes for the Uncharted 3 stuff??? Respect +++++200102013
Glad they didn't stop at sucker punch...

Yeah, but were you really surprised by that? I mean, out of every year they've had the show they've never really nominated or talked about any games other than really big mainstream games.

A few things bug me about Alan Wake: the occasional controller input glitches that prevent me from doing a dodge/evade (harsh when those fast ninja-type shades start comboing me with slashes), the way the camera prevents me from seeing how I'm getting flanked, but mainly that the chapters are so unecessarily long that it makes the game seem way more repetitive than it should seem.

You really shouldn't be surprised that the VGA's didn't mention any of that stuff. To the VGA's sales = game quality. Last year Demon Souls wasn't even nominated as a game of the year or ps3 game. WTF

Hey, let's all do our top 10 games we played this year! Not just games that came out this year, but our top 10 out of all the games we played this year.

10. Pokemon SoulSilver
9. Splinter Cell: Conviction
8. Penny Arcade: OTRSPOD
7. Bayonetta
6. Costume Quest
5. Halo Reach
4. Katamari Forever
3. Dead Rising 2
2. Mass Effect 2
1. MGS4: Guns of the Patriots

There needs to be an innovation award and Zipper should receive it. While MAG lacked a bit in actual coordinated clan battle, it did try to change the way FPS were played on the console. 256 players. Sure not all 128 are coming at you, but to bring on the challenge and do a great job with the support should be acknowledged.

People need to look at what Zipper did. If they can make 256 FPS game play seem pretty seamless, then why the hell does Black Ops lag with only 12 people?

What 2010 game tried to change a genre into a new direction?

While this is an easy way to get money and save all the people, I would also say that it completely takes all of the meaning out of the choices as king. If you don't leave the system on to make money, then the choices you have to make at the end are some of the most difficult choices of any game I've ever played (not always for the best reasons, but still hard choices nonetheless).

Yeah, I actually made a few "evil" choices. I turned an orphanage into a whorehouse (which may be what you actually meant), because it meant I would have enough money to save the lives of like 1.5 million people out of the 6.5 million total citizens, which is a huge amount.

I will say that it was stupid how they didn't give you more options though. I mean I owned every piece of property in the kingdom, yet the orphanage was the only building I could turn into a whorehouse? And why did I have to keep all my promises right away, why couldn't I have waited until after the attack?
I just wanted to stay a good guy in it. Man, DCUO is fucking great.
Yeah, I wanted to stay a good guy too. That's what made the choices so difficult. If you didn't care about staying a good guy, then the choices wouldn't really matter.

In the end though, I made enough good choices compared to evil choices to still stay a good guy and save all the people.

$19.50 for two movie tickets and $18.50 for the money saving 2 drinks-1 popcorn combo.

WTF!!!!!!!

At least Black Swan was interesting.
Way more sexual than I expected. It is a bit Perfect Blue-ish as well but not as much as some make it out.

That's nothing, back when the Spirit came out, I took my fiancee to see it and our two tickets cost $27 even! Godddamn ridiculous!

Did you get the achievements for making all the right decisions or whatever? I assumed that was just if everyone stayed alive in the end.
My gf and I buy our tickets from CostCo. 14.00 for a two pack.
Any theater?

I usually don't go to the movies but she really insisted on seeing this. I think because she likes dancing and Mila Kunis.

Now I have to go get a Christmas tree.

Yeah, I got the achievement. It was just for if you saved all the citizens though, which meant having $6.5 million in the end, which I just barely did.

Yeah, if the woman and I want to go to a movie we either go on $6 Tuesdays or during the matinée. It's just too much money otherwise.

Matinees are key. Lower prices, and less crowded. Particularly if you can go on a weekday afternoon. Plan on seeing Black Swan myself one afternoon this week.

4. Singularity
5. Nier
6. Bioshock 2
7. Fallout: New Vegas
8. Vanquish
9. Sengoku Basara
10. Dead Nation

They aren't in any order other than ME2 being #1.

Wasn't there supposed to be some big game announcement today?
I could swear there was supposed to be some announcement/reveal the day after the VGAs... maybe something about a new Sony IP?

1. Mass Effect 2
2. Fallout 3 and all DLC
3. Assassin's Creed 2
4. Batman: AA (mainly played late 2009, but finished in January)
5. Alan Wake (and DLC)
6. Halo Reach
7. Call of Duty: Black Ops
8. Bioshock 2 (and Minerva's Den)
9. Shadow Complex
10. Halo: ODST
11. Castle Crashers

Listed 11, as looking at my games list on Xbox.com that's all I played this year. Well, also Gears 2---but that was just knocking out some Horde Achievements rather than playing through the game, so I didn't list it.

I started Alan Wake yesterday and the dodging mechanic is wierd. Sometimes it works, othertimes it doesn't. So far I'm enjoying it. I'm only on episode 3 though.
