GOG Deals Thread

Explain to me how GOG can apparently handle what I can only imagine is a sizable amount of bandwidth, yet during GMG's flash-type sales it's constant Server Unavailable. I won't throw Steam under the bus as easily since their user base is arguably much larger.
Steam deserves it even more because their user base is so much larger. They have the money.

I don't think GOG is as popular as one would think.

I'm a GOG newb. I already purchased Psychonauts. Where are these free games you guys keep mentioning? I don't see them on the main page.

They flip in the same banner as the current Insomnia sales, but they're going so fast, you basically have to watch the screen constantly.

I watched an interview with Gabe where he said Steam is something like the 4th or 5th largest Internet bandwidth consumer, more than most countries. During Steam sales and huge game updates they eat up something like 2% of the entire world bandwidth.

And how much of the world's money?

All liked. (Haha, screw you CAG 3.0)
Offtopic, but since you brought it up: I *$(&ing hate those community & game CAG "menus" at the top which popup whenever my mouse cursor moves over them and prevent me from clicking any link until I mouse them away.

something to look out for, if you have a chase CC or one thats pretty vigilant on the fraud front, make sure to check your emails.  Chase was none to happy buying 4-6 tiny purchases within a small time window and flagged one as fraud on me.  I think its partially because gog purchases get sent through cyprus so it looks a little fishy as a foreign transaction

Oh, thank God, it's not just me.

(Super Liked!)

Yeah, it's definitely bots or scripts.  I saw Two Worlds II (40 copies) and even though I was mashing on the button before it even came up it still said the item was no longer available.

I contend that there really aren't any free games. GOG is just screwing with us.

That's my new conspiracy theory. It replaces my old one that the state of Delaware doesn't actually exist.

Divinity: Dragon Commander Imperial Edition $22.49 (85)

This would be a good time to re-roof your house.

EDIT: Or not. lol Holy shit. Look at people snap em up.
