anyone know of any B&M with a good deal on Fast and Furious Tokyo Drift HD-DVD? its like $34.99 plus everywhere around here. I know amazon has it for $27.95, but I rather get it from a B&M store if I can. I heard this hd dvd is one of the best to show off in terms of visuals, and audio.

I'm waiting for this movie to come out on blu-ray :(

It's pretty cool and the drift scenes are awesome. The first one in Tokyo is just painful to watch though (The first race in the parking lot).

best I found was 23 during the DDD sale. And now that they released HP early all of their money is going bye-bye.

TD looks awesome in HD, the sound is alright. A TrueHD track would have been enough for me to drop 35 on it. Stupid Uni.

The u-control features are pretty cool. Storyboards and concept art are nice to have during the film.

The u control features in tokyo drift are awesome. I got mine off of amazon and didnt have any problems at all. Fast shipping even when free. And to the guy waiting for it in blu ray Its never gonna happen.
Any Blu Ray movies for $15 and under?
Buy.com has nearly all of their BR movies for under $15 after GCO.

I find it kind of silly when the only deal can happen when they're by GCO. You can only use it once per card, so unless you carry 10 different cards or something, you're pretty much out of luck. Someone like that I wouldn't trust to handle their debt very well, honestly. lol

Any deals where you don't need GCO? Every single BluRay DVD I've seen is $25, but can be $15 after GCO. That can be plastered all over Buy.com, so it's honestly not such great advice. Any news of a price drop soon?

mjentertainment.net is the only retailer besides Fry's that consistently has HDDVDs and Blu Rays for less than $20.

Except mjentertainment isn't that hot of a reseller, IMO. I tried ordering Casino Royale on Blu. They sent me e-mails saying my order had processed, charged, SHIPPED, was unavailable, and CANCELLED in that order. Never received the disc btw. So something is odd there, and frankly I doubt I'll trust them with another order.

You forgot to post the Frys BD deals as well Linkin.

Blu-Ray
$11.99 each :hot: :hot: :hot: +:hot: (extra hotness)

I used one card at least 6+ times.

As long as you use it after your last order ships, it seems to go through fine.
I didn't forget to post the Blu-Ray ads...I just don't care ;)
don't be so bias, just post em all

more people will thank you that way ;O

Hehe, I know you don't Linkin.

I think so. I had asked an associate a while ago and they told me the online prices are seperate from in-store prices for the most part (i.e. Price Matching and such)

But then with the 2 for $25 deal they had on BD's, those were available on-line

hmmm perhaps it's time to pick up superman returns

would anybody advise not getting it? Despite it's relative crappiness it's still a great lookin film, but I don't know if looks would be worth $12 without the story lol

And I've never seen corpse bride is that any good?
Wish I lived close, I'd pick up A Scanner right quick for that price.

Because....I finally got the HD add-on today!
God damn Best Buy...I went in to PriceMatch A Scanner Darkly and a few of the others since none of the LA Fry's are really close to me, and the DVD section guy tells me "oh it's not available in store, online only." Sure enough, it's listed on the site as available online only, all versions. Uhm, why is that?

Then the checkout clerk wants to keep my ad, I tell her, hell no I need to use it at Circuit City since you don't have A Scanner Darkly.
Where is the buy 2 for $25 online?
That was a few weeks back, I think for 4th of July or Memorial Day. Mostly consisted of old Sony Pictures releases.
Picked up The Convenant Blu Ray for $16.30 used at GS today. :)
Wow, why? I heard and read that the movie was awful.

i rented that one on dvd and boy did it suck pretty bad. That along with Ultraviolet are probably two of the worst movies I've ever seen
you can price match cross country? im in north carolina can i price match frys bm?
YMMV om that one, and most Best Buy's require you to have the actual ad, so you can't just make a copy of a scan. They will most likely say "there are no local Fry's in Nor Car so we won't match it."
you can price match cross country? im in north carolina can i price match frys bm?
Short answer : no.
Long answer : Who do you know working there?

BTW, I tried to see if I could check by store on CC's website for A Scanner Darkly, and it's online only also!

BASTARDS!

I want my $12 Blu Ray copy, without having to drive to Fry's (only to find it's already long sold out, as I'm sure it is).

GAH!

Must not be looking to well, theyve got Blu-rays for $15 BEFORE gco. But anyways, FYE.com has really good prices on Blu-Rays/HD-Dvd. Theyve got a good selection for $10-15. Its a lot better if you have store credit.
I do like swordfish, but I'm still to cheap to buy it at that price.
Halle Berry topless... in hi def... case closed

oh boy so i didn't know this about best buy's pricematching policy...

apparently to get the difference + 10% off for low price guarantee, you'd have to have already bought it, and then brought the ad in later to get the extra 10%, otherwise if you buy it and pricematch it on the spot, you just get the same price that the lower price store has.

So in the end I went to best buy and got corpse bride and superman returns for 11.99 each. Hey at least I got a few more points on my reward zone lol

i bought the prestige off ebay for 11 bucks on blu ray, no blu ray case though... but i read that that movie is excellent...after this i gotta start saving for a new car...

Apologies in advance for going off-topic -

Can someone tell me the best place to trade in DVDs? I would like to get rid of everything and just stick with HD from this point on..

I have stuff like Batman Begins, Serenity, V for Vendetta, The Prestige all on standard def DVD.

Already have Serenity and V on HD-DVD -- I'd like to get The Prestige and Batman eventually.
Stretch marked boobies huray! ..... i guess...
I wish they were that big.

Only problem is, now I see Billy Bobs face everytime I get a mental picture.
boo.

Any deals on the Host?

Just happened to be looking at my local FYEs HD-DVD collection and managed to find the Bourne Identity a few days early (streets 7/24)... even better, the sticker said 29.99, but rang up 22.99!

It's a Universal movie, right?
The Fry's ads are in store only, correct?

I tried to add The Fugitive to my cart online and it's still showing $19.99.
I just bought A Scanner Darkly and Superman on BR from the website and they both rang up at $11.99 each plus shipping. They were both sold out, but Ive been told they will still honor the price once stock comes back.

Did you check for Blu-rot? There were many cases on AVS regarding that title specifically.
