fuck

I wanted them to throw in Madden 25 for the PC.  Rat bastards.

I hope there is a third round of bonuses and it is a refund of what I paid for this bundle.

Probably will be. These bonuses are probably weak for a reason.. the bundle is still selling pretty well. Makes sense to add the crappier bonuses first, then add the good ones later once sales reach their peak.
Also possible they had more bonuses planned but after seeing how well it sold held them back and decided to do a second bundle. Of course there could be a 'second round' of bonuses but I don't think I've ever seen that.

Hope they add populous 2. I just want to play that game now

As posted previously, it happened with the THQ bundle (2nd bonus getting added).

Damn. I was really hoping that MoH Airborne Steam key would be one of the bonuses's. Hopefully another set is revealed before the end of this bundle.

As I'll be searching for these games now. I wish the best of luck to anyone who is getting free keys so far

I'm happy with Populous just because I already own Red Alert 2, DS2, Bulletstorm (which sucks) and the other assumed games.  So at least I get to +1 my inventory.

I can't imagine there isn't something else planned with the SteamDB entries and the Weekly Sale being MIA this week. Maybe they plan on extending this bundle because it's doing so well...

Definitely disappointed in the sense that I was reallllllly hoping for Dead Space 2, but oh well. I'll pick it up next Steam sale (assuming it doesn't get added in a 2nd round of bonuses). At the same time, never played C & C and it has an 85 rating on Metacritic, and populous was on my wishlist at GOG. Then again, considering what I got for a buck last week, they could've added a vasectomy simulator and I would've gotten my money's worth ten times over.

They would've, but everyone would complain it's too similar to surgeon simulator, and would be hated more for copying steam and adding another physics based game about murdering people for shits and giggles onto Origin. Why else do you think Dr. Sacksquash has never been promoted? (I feel as if this doesn't make sense.)

I'm a little saddened by all the Populous hate. The bundle is filled with AAA titles and they throw in one retro game - a groundbreaking game at that - and people gnash their teeth.

Yes, Populous is an old game (the retail box sitting on my shelf says 1989), but it is worth a look if only for the sake of seeing the game that popularized a genre.

Everyone got a crazy-good bundle and a little slice of history. Not bad in my estimation.

Damn Populous just came out of nowhere.  I remember playing for the first time on Snes and had no clue on how it worked in the 90's.  After a few months of playing it was quite enjoyable, but seeing it now the game has aged quite a bit.

But are you really surprised...?

I'm personally glad to have Populous. Very fond memories of that game, on Amiga no less.

He was being duplicitous!

really really u know i can read english right i dont do that bad stop being arrogant so i dont know what you say lol troll
No, you really are that bad. I'd say what I typed was a bit more legible than what you put out there. If you want people to help you here at least make sure what you type is legible.

Then start speaking it.

You don't capitalize, you use obnoxious text message abbreviations that aren't cute and you can't spell worth a shit. Half the time it's difficult to understand what the hell you are talking about.

Really I want to believe you are a troll but man, if you are you are damn good at sticking to your schtick.

Just wait six months when people are filling out their Consumerist surveys.

"Well, BankCorp foreclosed on a thousand war widows and OmniChem filled Lake Superior with hexacancerdeathacylimde.  But Electronic Arts gave me a free copy of Popolous when I wanted Dead Space 2!  WORST COMPANY EVER!"

I don't necessarily think people are h8'ing on Populous, m8 -- just that it came out of left field.  Also pretty funny it requires Origin (I think?).  If you're looking to nudge people into installing a new gaming client then 99% of today's gamers aren't going to be swayed by a game older than them.

Different strokes for different folks. I mean you have an awful animu avatar and people still talk to you.

I'm just having fun with generic EA hate.  I agree that Populous seems like a bizarre choice to add.  Especially when they could have added Arctic Fox.

Hrm, I just realized that the game was probably "Arctic Fox" so they could explain why everything was white in the CGA version

Reading your post, I had no idea what Arctic Fox was... then I watched the video. I owned that damn game! Probably the 2nd most played game on my old DOS machine... right behind... XOR NFL CHALLENGE! (Originally posted the wrong game and screen... shows how memorable it was)

Well, now I'm even more pissed. They could have given us Artic Fox and they didn't. I hate EA so much, why won't they just give me more of their games? For the record, I hate their games as much as I hate the company, but I still want them.

This is fucking ridiculous. If you are going to do a Humble EA, do it right! Give all the money to charity, give us good recent games, and...wait...

I just hope Ubisoft does a Humble too because boy do I have some complaints...

Would have preferred this as the bonus:

Mail Order Monsters was awesome. I still remember hating seeing Sluggo.

And those wumpus cave dudes they cribbed from their Archon art assets

Plus, I guess we used to live in a world where you could stick a Godzilla toy on your box art without it being a Godzilla game and without being sued.

I love populous, I think is a nice addition. Would be better if it was populous 2, but still. And just completed my steam C&C collection. Great bundle

Yeah. I think it's kinda neat. Shows off some EA history with something completely different that may indeed get some people to install Origin that may have skipped it otherwise.

Hell yeah. Provided - if they used the C64 version - that they fixed the damned load times. You could seriously start loading that damned game, go make a sandwich, eat the sandwich, then do the dishes, and it'd just be finishing as you got back.
