not really a bad area and dont see why he would be jumped. I seen ps3s over there a few times and noone was buying them.
Well, I paid $530 for it, after tax, so that's why I was a tad worried. But it made it home safely and I'm playing it now.
It's just that the last time I was there, a scalper took a PS3 away from me, but I'm betting he didn't make profit.
I think Sony is going to have to price drop the 60 gig to $400 by next year in order to stay in the console game.
You're probably seeing them easily because you don't want one.

That's normally the case, because I had some trouble finding the 20GB when I decided I wanted one. I know others that want a PS3, but can never get it (due to them being in stores mid-day, and being at work).
Actually, I'm seeing the 60GB sell faster, since the majority of people want a 60GB. Sony isn't dropping the price that big, anytime soon. Dropping the 60GB to $400 would be a horrible idea, since it has tons of features the 360 lacks (WiFi, HDMI, MS/CF/SD card reader, 40GB larger HDD, blu-ray, etc.). The truth is, a 20GB PS3 is pretty much equivalent to the 360 premium pack (except it lacks a headset and component, but has blu-ray and HDMI. They both lack WiFi, and a 360 WiFi adapter is $100). Sony already loses over $250. Also, Sony does make profit (Around $30) on every PS2 that sells, and PS2 is still selling well. They even profit a little on every PSP sold, so Sony is doing fine. It's just that the difference is, not everyone has $500 to $600 in their pocket right away, which is why it will sit on the shelves a tad longer (compared to other newer consoles), but still sells out. The main problem now is too people people feel the 20GB is some kind of "tard pack", like the 360, when it actually gives you everything you need and is equivalent to the Premium 360, while the 60GB just gives you several extra features and larger HDD (that really aren't needed, but there are people who want that). If Sony were to drop any price (within a year), it would be the 20GB to $400 and the 60GB to $500.
