Let us know how it looks. They are 5.1 surround, correct?

The ONLY reason I may rent it...well, a few. I have 7900 MP points and my 360 is on the 55", while my PS3 is on my 26" LCD. Thus, bigger is better, although, movies looks great on the 26".
480 Points. 6.00 Bucks?
ouch. the SD rentals are only 240, which is a great price.

the T.V. shows on the other hand, are a COMPLETE rip off either way. They should be 100 points, that way you'd have people getting them in quantity.

I'm guessing the 26 is a LCD whereas the 55 is a type of projection TV? Yea IMO anythign looks better on a staright up LCD Screen.

Yup you're right. I've had the prices on the OP since day one.

just checked, looks like the featured movies and new releases are 320 and the rest are 240.

I guess they dropped the prices on the ones that have been there for a while. The older ones that were just released (like All the President's Men) also came out at 240.

Ah cool didn't know that. Thanks.

oh yeah, and all TV shows are 160 in SD.

Which makes no sense-- a 15 minute adult swim show costs the same as an hour long ep. of CSI in SD. Then-- CSI costs 320 in HD, but other HD shos are only 240. I don't quite understand that.

The 26" has HDMI. The 55" is actually REALLY clear. It's a good Mits HDTV, but a Rear Projection with only component (I jumped in HDTV early)

Yeah we've discussed that. It sucks but I doubt it will ever change.

However, remember:

An 80 minute movie still MSRP's on DVD or at the theater for the same as a 160 minute movie.

A 40 minute CD still MSRP's for the same amount as a 72 minute CD.

So this has been going on for a long time yet people suddenly start bitching about this new form of media distribution. I agree it sucks, but blame the studios, they set the prices.

Yeah, but paying $2 for a 15 minute episode while a 42 minute one is the same price sucks. A 90 minute movie and 120 minute movie are atleast a decent length.

I haven't seen any 15 minute episodes for $20. The SD episodes of everything are suppose to be $1, I thought.

160 points = $2
80 points = $1

I wanted to try out the Fusion Frenzy 2 demo and it is no longer on Marketplace. They seem to have taken down the Bringing It Home section that it was in.

Some older movies are 240 points (Chinatown and Star Trek II were ones I saw at this price).

I'm not sure if this means we won't get any XBLA titles till 2/7 but here's some new info on 10 new XBLA games:

Ten New Titles Approach the Xbox Live Arcade Horizon

Vampire hunters, artillery-toting worms, rambunctious aliens and trailblazing settlers are among the “likeable” characters that will soon make their debut in living rooms everywhere via Xbox Live® Arcade for Xbox 360™ as part of the award-winning service’s upcoming round of new game releases. Starting with the first release in February, 10 highly anticipated titles will begin making their way to Xbox Live Arcade, including these (titles are not listed in chronological release order):

 • · “3D Ultra Minigolf Adventures,” from developer Wanako Games and publisher Sierra Online, allows gamers to putt their way through 36 fun-filled holes of manic minigolf action on wild courses that range from the Old West to outer space and feature a bevy of crazy hazards and obstacles.
 • · “Alien Hominid HD” from The Behemoth features side-scrolling, hysterical cartoon action with a quirky twist and exclusive Xbox Live Arcade features.
 • · “Band of Bugs” from NinjaBee is a fast-paced tactical strategy game that offers gameplay deep enough to satisfy tactical genre fans and friendly enough to appeal to casual gamers. Creative gamers can even design their own levels with the built-in level editor, then play them solo or over Xbox Live with friends.*
 • · “Castlevania: Symphony of the Night” from Konami is a faithful version of this legendary classic updated for Xbox Live Arcade and featuring the game’s full soundtrack and memorable side-scrolling vampire-hunting action.
 • · “Catan,” from developer Big Huge Games Inc. and publisher Microsoft® Game Studios, is a faithful remake of the immensely popular strategy board game.
 • · “Eets: Chowdown” from Klei Entertainment Inc. is a completely revamped version of the popular PC title of the same name. It offers new items, 120 new levels and the exclusive debut of Marsho Madness, a high-adrenaline action game in which players must keep the impending evil marshmallows at bay.
 • · “LUXOR 2,” from developer MumboJumbo LLC, sets a new standard for action puzzlers as players match and shoot their way through the land of ancient Egypt.
 • · “Paperboy,” from developer Digital Eclipse and publisher Midway, is a classic coin-op hit, specially enhanced for Xbox Live Arcade.
 • · “Root Beer Tapper,” also from developer Digital Eclipse and publisher Midway, features fast-paced reflex action as players scramble to keep thirsty patrons happy without dropping root beer mugs in the scramble to earn the biggest tips.
 • · “Worms” from developer Team 17 Software Ltd. features armies of adorable weapon-toting worms locked in tactical combat.
The popularity of Xbox Live Arcade continues to grow as downloads have surpassed 20 million games. These 10 titles are just a sample of the diverse and entertaining games that will be coming to the service in 2007.

Several of these games also mark significant firsts for Xbox Live Arcade, including the first turn-based strategy game to be released on the service (“Worms”), the first Xbox Live Arcade board game release (“Catan”), and the first Xbox Live Arcade outdoor sports game release (“3D Ultra Minigolf Adventures”).

All these games are scheduled to become available during Xbox Live Arcade Wednesdays in the coming weeks, and specific game information will be announced closer to each game’s launch date. Although a game may not be launched every week, every Wednesday is an opportunity to share in the Xbox Live Arcade experience with friends and family.

Yes. I figure Adidas knows Basketball will sell, but Soccer may not so they can offer these ones for a price.

http://www.gamespot.com/news/6164905.html?om_act=convert&om_clk=multimodule&tag=multimodule;picks;title;1

I guess we'll get to see if the little dj thing works well for the game...or if they royally fucked up the def jam franchise (i'm hoping not, but it looks like it)
NBA street demo possibly soon as well.
1st Week in February according to the net. So um...next week.

This is the same Fuzion Frenzy 2 demo that was on OXM?

Meh.

Can't wait for the GRAW 2 demo, though!

EDIT: Whoa. It's already out.

Tight!
FF2 Demo worth DLing?
It gives you an idea of what the game is like. Its got 4 or 5 minigames once you're done playing them through once or twice you'll be done and want to delete the demo. I personally loved the first, will be hopefully buying the 2nd one today.
Booo! Oh well, GRAW2 and NBA Street this Friday still make it an awesome week.
yea, i hope they dont delay the nba street demo too...that would kill my weekend (not really, but i really wanna get some hands on time with it even though i'm gonna buy it either way)

no one has mentioned...

Naked trucker and t-bones show and pros vs joes. are both available with a free episode
