It's insane to me that Wonderboy and Night Trap have a 2 quantity limit instead of 1.

I'm assuming it's because it just means less shipping they have to do but it's still a shitty thing to do.

The same satisfaction you get by getting this silly question answered. It's very simple.... just to annoy someone else.
I receive no satisfaction asking the question. I'm trying to understand the mentality. Why not offer a price you feel is fair? Offering $1 does exactly what? Clearly the goal is more than annoying the seller, or we wouldn't see that pic posted above. It's so juvenile.

They each have a total quantity of 8,000 units and the CEs of both are limited to one per person. As such, I don't think the quantity two limit on the standard edition is going to be much of an issue, at least if you get there close to when the sales go live.

Take a chill pill, set your eBay offer minimum limit, and just let them waste their time.

They did that after my offer, but it was too late.

"uh huh, uh huh, wait a sec........IT'S FRIDAY?!?!  IT'S LRG FRIDAY?!?!?  I MISSED THE MORNING SALE!!!"

I feel good about stopping buying a few weeks ago.  I'd be down another $400 if I would have bought everything from this month.  This relentless pace of releases is too much.

Now I'm just looking forward to just buying the releases I like such as Ys Origin and other high quality titles.

Looks like LRG releases may fast become a "lottery." Good and bad for me. Less money spent but also less games scored.

This must be a cult following now. I mean, resellers can't be buying all these up because 99% of all the Limited Run game releases so far only go for between $30-$50 on eBay. Now they're becoming like Pokémon, gotta catch them all. Play Asia has been releasing games like this and even with them being small print runs, they take days or even weeks to sell out.

Whew, I decided to sleep in for the morning batch. Luckily I managed to grab both games during the afternoon batch.
Not doing that again.
Yeah, the afternoon release is always my "backup" plan, in case of shit happening in the am. I've only officially needed the afternoon release once, but I was glad it was there, otherwise I would have been screwed.

Also, don't LRG split the qyt's by a higher morning ratio to the afternoon batch? So even if the afternoon was limited to 1 per person, your still dealing with a lesser amount to the morning right? So I'm not surprised Oceanhorn went quick again, as the deck was kind of stacked against it from the get go.

If there's even 500 people that buy every game, there's a significant portion of stock right there.

PA is less attractive to resellers I'd wager. Gotta wait 1-2 months for the flip and a lot can go wrong. That said, LRG shipping speed has been feeling a lot like PA of late.

Confound it! I forgot about the evening release and got distracted. Oceanhorn makes the first one I've wanted that I've missed out on. Wonder Boy is next week isn't it? Gonna set up alarms on my phone this time.

Yeah. I'm just wondering why resellers would even waste their time with LRG games. Only a handful go for more than $50. Majority go for around $50 or a lot for less than that. $50 - 3% PP - 10% Ebay - original price paid plus shipping for the game, leaves maybe $15 if not less in profit. Seems like a waste of time and a lot of hassle just to get $15.

Hey that was me last week...when I missed both sale times.

I'm good this week though.

I'm surprised Plague Road sold out this fast. I think many didn't like the game.
LRG has either finally reached the point of not enough games, for the fan base they have created. Or, Plague Road having had the KS tie in and promotions, made it more inviting than a title like this normally would be.

Hell, it may be a combination of the two, who can say for sure, but based on reviews, PR is for sure one of the worst games LRG has released(review wise of course), but as I have said here many times in the past, some of the worst games ever produced, are often the most valuable. So who can say for sure what happened here today?

Oceanhorn may have been a factor as well, as it has been one of the more welcomed LRG offerings, so that may have helped PR being released on the same day and all.

If anyone didn't know by now, Gamestop sells steelbook cases for Jotun and Axiom Verge via indiebox(they come with a steam key). I picked them both up for ~$10 each on clearance. Seems lot of store's have them. Not specifically LRG related but I'm sure a lot of you have extra GS credit and the games have been promoted here

No, it's because the majority of "100% library collectors" typically go for USA releases. There is less incentive to go for PEGI or ASIA releases as they aren't official USA releases.

No, it's the brand name and the escalating hype. There are way more people trying to buy these things. The secret is out.

Anyone trying to flip a physical release of a digital title that costs dollars is doing it wrong if the digital still costs dollars... patience.

Missed Oceanhorn because I was without internet access completely at both sale times. Will be picking it up from ebay, though. This is a game I want for both platform. I, for one, am glad for scalpers who make a product available for people like me at another time. I don't mind paying the small markup I expect to see on this release. I'm hoping I'll be able to pick it up for less than Chris's price, but will wait and see what happens once the game is actually shipped and more flippers offer the product.

I'd rather see quick sellouts than overproduction.   People want to feel good about their purchase when they're buying physical games at a premium.   I don't feel bad for people that miss out either.   You can go buy the game on PSN and play it.  Or if you really want it, you go on Ebay and pony up for it < $50, not really a big deal.

Did LRG report any irregularities with the 2nd batch? I missed the first batch but during the afternoon batch, I refreshed my browser 2 minutes before they're supposed to go live and Oceanhorn showed up as 98% for each platform- not 100%. And when I tried to check out, even though I did it pretty quick, I got the "trying to check out" message.

I really wanted an extra copy of Oceanhorn but missed the morning batch because a client stopped by to ask me some questions on something I worked on 3 months ago... like I remember dammit!!:whistle2:

They were at 98% before the afternoon batch went up (after the initial batch sold out). I would assume that means 98% of the remaining inventory, minus some held back copies.

I wasn't going to buy anything this go around but decided at 2:59 that I would get Oceanhorn, I figured I would take one copy from the self entitled elite from here, so glad that I did.

I'll get some more gratification hearing some of you whine more about it, so please continue.... because we all want to hear how it's LRG's fault. =/
