Damn, five games announced today? I had no idea there was a Starship Troopers game (not sure I care for it) and I don't know what the other 4 are...

Pumpkin Jack is a great action Platformer. I got it on sale a long time ago on Xbox. It is on the shorter side about 6-8 hours to 100%.
It took me 7 hours and that is with replaying some levels to get a few missing collectibles.

People really like the Starship Troopers game too.

LRG gets me again with Penny's Big Breakaway, on Xbox. That might be a wait until VGP, depending on what else is up. I kind of want the soundtrack, because I really dig Tee Lopes's music, but I don't know for another $30.

I bought Penny's Big Breakaway on Xbox when it was on sale. I really enjoyed what I played of it and I wanted to support the devs.
I need to go back to it and play it some more. I would have got the physical if I didn't buy it digital.

The new site sucks. You have to click around to find the numbered version and pre-order dates. My orders also show on 3 pages and each one has duplicates.
Yep. Used to have a numbered webpage with the exclusives and now they conveniently don’t.

The page may still be up, just hidden.

The page seems to only show numbered releases in stock as well. I wish there was an official way of seeing the whole list of releases. thankfully I'm only chasing Xbox and it's pretty easy to keep up.

Late night, I luckily remembered to place my order for Hitman: Blood Money - Reprisal & Assault Suits Valken Declassified on Switch just now..

I saw this post earlier this morning realized I kind of did want those games, logged on and saw they were still available, added to cart, and then got distracted with getting my kids ready for school. Oh well, I’m sure VGP will have them and if they don’t I’m at peace with FOMO now.

A third release of TMNT Shredder's Revenge? fuck off with this. This seems to be the publisher'S doing. I now know never to buy their first or second release of any game physically.
They know where their bread is buttered, that's for certain.

Plastic Tat edition guaranteed to sell out*!
Online only.

The rest will rot on their store shelves until they move them at cons or poop 'em out during a "clearance" sale at full price.

Might as well wait for the Super Mega Double Anniversary Edition of Shredder's Revenge at this point, I'm sure that'll come in another year or two. Maybe by then they'll finally tame that rascally shipping backlog like they always claim to be doing.

LRG's Twitter is usually pretty docile towards them, but people are pretty livid with this third TMNT release. I don't blame anyone.
I’m also quite surprised at the backlash here. It’s not the first time, not even the second time this has happened. Power Rangers and Streets of Rage 4 had almost the exact same pattern. I bought the first and second release with full knowledge of this possibility, I only have myself to blame because I fell for it again (although, in both instances I didn’t buy them from LRG direct but rather got deals from other retailers).

I'm not really bothered by the third Shredder's Revenge release. All they added were a couple extra characters and the dlc is cheap. Only the most diehard (must buy everything) TMNT fans and the hoarder collectors that must have every physical release should be bothered. I'm happy with just having the base game and buying the dlc if I want it.

Maybe because (I think) TMNT is a much larger fan base than most others...

I am an adult who still buys TMNT toys.

have you SEEN the NECA designs tho ?! Some of the best designed art toys I have ever seen in my life. and there are several lineups.
Google images the NECA: "cartoon turtles", "movie turtles", "Mirage comics", "Archie comics", and now "The Last Ronin" lineup. They are each incredible in their own way. Each line is very cohesive among itself, and addictive.

no one will sleep with me. -_-

I have to say, those older NECA fully B&W mirage style figures (and the street) do look damned amazing. I haven't bought any of the toys in years though I did get some of the cheap $1 mini figures that Dollar General used to have and still have a regular Donatello figure from the Fast Forward series.

Anyone else had issues getting the Double Fine triangle box from LRG? Back in mid July I got a shipping email for it but even after 2 months it still said UPS didn't have the package. Now in mid Sept I got another shipping email for it and once again weeks later it still says UPS doesn't have the package. Wtf?

From their Discord:

I guess it's good that they're doing quality control but it's kind of absurd that it has taken them years to produce a box and that you have to be in a Discord server to get an update.

You know, I make fun of people a lot for using Twitter or Discord instead of an actual business website, but they actually DO have a website, and they're still like "Naaah, let's announce things the stupid way."

Also, I actually did order all three of the games for this Triangle Box, and I can see all three on my shelf right now. But I've heard nothing about getting a free box. Did you all have to request this? Was there some form a while back I had to fill out? And also, where DID they make this offer? I keep seeing a photo passed around, but is there like a page on their site somewhere that I can look at that has a "click here for more info/contact us for this"? At least something to show them so I can be like "Hey, I qualify for this!"

It's easier to hide or bury things on Discord than it is on a site that can be cached via Wayback Machine. This is a selling point and not a detriment to a company like LRG.

I used to say that I hate things like twitter and discord because things were impossible to find or look back at, but honestly never even thought about this.

I wish I could get some updates on Strictly Limited Games preorder limbo.
Still haven't heard anything on Ray'z, Tiny Thor or Steel Empire Chronicles for Switch.
The shipped the PS4 Ray'z in August and said they would have news about the Switch version in a few weeks and I'm still waiting.

You apparently didn't have to do anything on your end according to them. They were supposed to automatically send them to anyone who had bought all 3

Looking into this, my Grim Fandango actually came from iam8bit, so at least in my case this "auto-email notify system" didn't miss one.

Seriously?!? Wow, that game’s been out for a while now…

Edit- yeah I went back and checked my regular edition, it shipped December 2023…
Yea that's why they gave everyone free steam keys for the mean time. I think the steelbook was the issue. I really need to stop collecting steelbooks if the orders are gonna be delayed.

You had to have purchased a game featuring “cut scenes or cinematics-pre-rendered or pre-scripted animations or vignettes that advance the narrative of the video game's story”. Wonder if this actually has anything to do with it, or if this is just lawyer-speak from someone that has no clue about video games.

Yeah.. I don't get this lawsuit at all. And it seems iffy to give them my personal info.

Whenever there's a class action lawsuit, in the past, I received notice via mail or email. I didn't know show about the lawsuit before hand.

If I was impacted, LRG should have records of who was impacted and they'll have my contact info. Knowing LRG, they prob didn't bother to keep those records though (or maybe are destroying them intentionally) but then whatever... I'm hopefully hear about it somewhere and then join in 5-10 years when the case is actually settled.

I think what’s going on is the video games with cutscenes pulls them into the Video Privacy Protection Act. It’s an older statute originally passed to prevent video rental stores from sharing your private information but it still is in effect today and has been found to apply to other forms of video and private information. Then they’ve probably sold customer lists on top of that so that’s where the information sharing violation comes into play.
