Madden 11 League-OFFICIAL CAG LEAGUE-That's all folks! Mini-tourney still coming tho!

GG uber, but madden really screwed me over on that punt muff. I must have tapped the fair catch button 10 times because I knew it might not register because of the lag and it still didn't do it. We had stopped Greene for most of the day until the 4th Quarter and he decided to take over.

Gg indeed. The lag was a bit annoying but it was good to see it at least screwed us both fairly evenly. My shanked punt gave you easy field position for that late 1st half score. I need to contain the big plays better but overall I felt good about my game. Thankfully Greene stepped up because my passing felt off today.
Hah I was there too, but in press row. Solid weekend of games.
Yeah seeing xavier give ohio st fits and edgar sosa from uofl going off on a&m good times
Do we no longer have a giants owner?
We do, see the last page. We got disconnected several times and our schedules didn't work on the last day, so since I'd been up big in the disconnect I booted him and played the CPU. I sent him an invite back in.

Sprice I'll be on tonight.

Anyone pick up the Fallout New Vegas DLC? I noticed it got crappy reviews, but picked it up with Torchlight anyway.

I still need to go back and finish the main game first..

Oh, and once you've played Torchlight and then need to turn to Sacred II to get your loot-accumulating fix satisfied, let me know. :D

Will do bv. I may just play them simultaneously. It will have to wait until the end of the month though. My girlfriend's sister is here for spring break and sleeps in the living room where my tv is. Limited game time since she's a vampire.

I responded a little bit ago to Appleinthetree's availability PM and we should be able to play tonight.

Question for people who use their phones to communicate on CAG: is there any way to have private messages delivered as texts? I finally got a smart phone I have always received e-mails notifying me of PM's, but I didn't see any other options.

my droid pops up an alert when I get an email which if it is a pm on cag I can read it really quick

Let's hope the Giants re-join soon.

Pass the word on, because I'll likely be gone for the week around Wednesday afternoon.

Raiders over Chiefs 56-30.

McFadden 18 ATT 329 yds 4 TD. He was a man possessed out there. Campbell complemented nicely throwing 3 TD and only 1 INT(for once).

gg Sprice. Bout time I won in KC.

Appleinthetree/Cobra03Ash is going to give me a heart attack one of these days. We were literally 5 seconds away from repeating our 31-31 tie from season one, same score and all.

Overall team stats were pretty much even, although I had a +3 turnover margin. Without forcing those, I almost certainly would have lost. The Packers held a 31-14 lead in the 4th quarter after Crosby made a field goal (missed 2 long ones earlier on), but the Cowboys defense stepped up after that and their offense kicked it into high gear, cutting the deficit to 31-28 and recovering an onside kick.

I then made the dumbest mistake in the history of Madden when, after sacking the Dallas QB with 6 seconds left, I accidentally called a timeout. It was not intentional, but my finger slipped and I pressed the button. Dallas tied the game with a field goal, and I was disgusted with myself for literally giving away a victory. Both teams traded the ball back and forth a couple times in OT, and it looked like the impossible was going to happen- another 31-31 tie. But, by the grace of God, I was able to score on a long touchdown pass to Greg Jennings with 5 seconds left to eke out the victory. That was just one insane game. As I told Cobra, I hope he and I meet again- preferably in the playoffs this season.

Green Bay Packers 37, Dallas Cowboys 31

Play the CPU tomorrow night if you don't hear. I'm not tracking people down anymore. They should know.

Brackets: CBS or Yahoo? I have 1 on Yahoo, 2 on CBS so I don't care I can copy my bracket over easily. I still don't know what I want to do with my winner. I know what I WANT to do, but 1 is a pretty big gamble to get to the final 4, nevermind the championship and my winner (COMPLETE HOMER PICK AHEM) is not the safest. It's like I feel good about my final 4, but don't feel good about anyone advancing beyond that and winning it all.

Doomtime and redygo, I proposed a trade to both of you. After this last game, Peyton Manning is on the trading block as well as my top two running backs Addai and Brown, as well as either one of my 90 rated safteys. I need help on the LT side of my O-line, RT, and upgrade to a taller WR, LOLB. All serious offers would be considered.

Tanabeo couldn't make it Sunday so we're going to try to get our game in tonight. If he doesn't show again, I wont have time to putz around tomorrow so I want a sim.

Whoa there, we'll be in talks good sir. I'll take a better look at my roster later tonight.

Hey friends...just got back last night. I sent the Cardinals an Xbox live message last night trying to schedule our game for some point today (I haven't gotten a response yet which is probably normal if he has a job)...he hasn't tried to contact me yet. I literally looked through the last 20 pages on this thread to see if he has posted something so I can find out what his CAG name is so I can PM on here too. I tried a bunch of variations of his Xbox Live gamertag to try and guess his CAG name too but no luck. Anyone know how to get in touch with him?

Chargers 24 - Jaguars 3

In the Game of the Week, the Chargers stamped their claim on being one of the preeminent powers in the AFC with an emphatic win over the Jags which moved them to 5-1 on the season. This one was a sloppy, rainy affair in San Diego, with the Jaguars actually outgaining the Chargers 240-224, but the difference was protecting the ball, which the Chargers did very well despite being outgained and dominated in time of possession.

The Jags moved the ball decently all day but could never get the ball into the endzone. Meanwhile the Chargers managed to convert their first possession into a Rivers pass to Moss. The teams traded punts until the end of the half when the Jaguars were making a late drive but a strip sack by rookie DT Ronald Thomas was scooped up by Antoine Cason who took it 76 yards to the house to put the Chargers up 14-0 at the half. The teams traded field goals in the third quarter before the Chargers finally iced the game with a late Ryan Mathews TD.

Philip Rivers was not asked to do much all day, completing 7 passes on 12 attempts for 107 yards and a TD, which was caught by Santana Moss. That effort won't boost the stats for his MVP candidacy, but he'll take the win.

Ryan Mathews was awesome, carrying the ball 13 times for 119 yards and a score. None of the Chargers receivers had games to write home about except Moss, who had 2 catches for 56 and a score.

The Chargers D was obviously great, getting 4 sacks and 3 FF, 2 of which they recovered. They did get gashed by the run between the 20s, with MJD carrying 21 times for 160 yards, but they tightened up where it counted.

gg Cool_iAM! I so detest playing in the rain, I'm glad I came out ahead this time around though. Most important thing in a rain game: No serious injuries.
any1 looking to trade ?
I might be willing to ship a pick or two your way depending on who from your defense is on the block.

who were you looking at ?

any1 is open as long as it can help me , well only one not moving for sure is my MLB with 95 spd
Ill trade arenas for a 2nd round pick
If you're willing to trade him in the division, I'll take that deal.

Not so fast my friend. If he is willing to deal in the division, I can give more than that pick.

Santana Moss (WR, 83 OVR, 34 YO, 96 speed) is on the block if anyone's looking for WR help.

He's been a very productive player for me and he hasn't regressed at all, I'm just looking to give one of my rookie WRs a shot in the slot and since I've been running more this season and using the spread less all the receivers have become a bit redundant.

6th round pick and a subway footlong?
6th round pick and a subway footlong?
Make it a 5th, add in a bag of chips, and hand deliver it and we've got a deal.

Seriously though, I know people in this league always shy away from "older" players, but Moss has been an immensely productive receiver for me (stats) and he hasn't regressed since I've had him. The shift in my offensive philosophy has just kind of made my bevy of receivers overkill, plus I have a decent rookie ready to step into his roll.
I'm interested to see your new run scheme. I have resurrected mine as well
Compared to some of my offensive schemes of past seasons it's basically just "I'm running the ball."

The results speak for themselves though, Ryan Mathews is among the league leaders in rushing so far.
