Sports mags

Requiem -

Go sign up at xbox.net to get Xbox Nation (and Computer Gaming World) for a year. The promo ends today! I signed up and I guess it worked because on the Ziff Davis customer service page I'm signed up to May 2005. :)

Thanks Santorum X.

Cereal, I think they might extend it, but you have to make sure you put in the same email address and info.

I just called to change my egm to print, they said it didn`t show up, but they would change it when it did. They were very nice, if you haven`t done it yet, I suggest you do.

In my experience, any of these free subscriptions can be used as extentions . . . just call the subscription phone number given in the mag and have both lables handy.

My XBN subscription hasn't been added to their Customer Service site, yet my CGW one has. Strange...

Hehehe.... for CGW:

"Your last issue will be in OCT 2007"

xbox.net is still having their free (Xbox Nation and Computer Gaming World) subscriptions. This is probably the most legit magazine deal so far. I have Xbox Nation till May of 2007, CGW till Sep of 2006, and when they were previously giving away EGM, I signed up for that and now have a year's worth free.

I'm already getting EGM and CGW from that xbox.net deal. XBN shows I am signed up til May 2005 but I haven't seen a mag yet.

Good times.

Here's an idea! Let's post gardening, cooking etc... mag subscriptions for mothers day!

What do ya say? Shall we try it?

I would also like the link to the free SPIN magazine subscription. If someone could supply me with that I would be greatly appreciative.

Is anyone else having trouble getting the XBN subscription? I've registered with the site, and I can get to the page where you enter your mailing address, but it won't accept my address. I get a dialog box that says "country is required." The only problem is that it's impossible to enter the country! It won't let me type anything in the country text field.

I'm having the same problem. I've tried both IE and Firefox browsers. I've looked at the HMTL source and the box is disabled but the Submit button still validates that input box. The site's contact page gives a 404 error so I guess I'll just try firing off an email to [email protected] and see what happens.

GF_Eric, IIRC, XBN comes like every other month or something like that.

EDIT: What's the link to check if your sub is accepted at Ziff Davis?

Excellent. I think I will try out that one on xbox.net

Cool, I signed up to recieve them. It says on the site to wait for 2 weeks before you will be in the database. How long did it take everyone else to get on it?

About 2 weeks for me.

There's been lots of previous subscriptions to those services, and all these new ones rack up to my current ones, extending my subscriptions to the future years.

XBN is now monthly.

Most of these freebies will extend your current sub, if you use the same name/address. If you start getting duplicates, just tell them that you renewed and it didn't take, they should take care of it.
Most magazines, even if you pay for them, take between 4 and 12 weeks to arrive in your mailbox, due to publishing cycles and mailing list database updates.

Worked for me. I don't think the combo matters because it is the main offer. You get offered other mags based on your "job".

My standard reponse to freebizmag is in education (I'm a teacher) usually works --I've only been rejected twice out of some 20 applications

. . . I made up a profile for my wife (something like media . . . marketing . . . project manager . . .) and that one was accepted.

I don't know why mine failed and the other one took.

I just checked my accounts for Ziff Davis mags... My EGM subscription is until May 2007, CGW until April 2007, XBN until May 2006. All I can say is HOLY SHIT!! lol. I have no idea how I got so many years.
