Man of Medan | Dead or Alive 6 | Spider-Man | Raiden V | Berserk Blu-ray 3 Discs/Films | Xbox 1 Games | 4K & Blu-rays

I saw that post of yours in twztid's thread. I agree there are so many great games that should be remade for the console in HD. I would love to see Day of the Tentacle, Grim Fandango, both System Shock's and especially X-Wing vs Tie Fighter!
"Thundercats! Hoooo!" BUMP!
That's awesome I was totally going to bump your thread in that exact same way:lol: You must be around my age if you remember the Thundercats, I think they came out in the mid 1980's? I have the other series made by the same people and with the same voice actors... SilverHawks!

You've never seen SilverHawks! If you liked the Thundercats then you should definitely watch some of the episodes, I remember seeing a few episodes online a while back. I've been trying to remember all the cartoons I watched as a kid so that I can buy them whenever they are released on disc. So far I have Groovie Ghoulies, Dungeon & Dragons, Robotech: The Macross Saga, Transformers, Ghostbusters, Blackstar, SilverHawks, Voltron, several Charlie Brown specials, and some Looney Tunes. I also have a few live action kids series; the Thunderbirds, The Secrets of Isis, and Land of the Lost.

I still need a bunch of series like the Smurfs, Scooby-Doo, The Snorks, G.I Joe, M.A.S.K., Starcom, captain caveman, the pink panther, the Flintstones, The Jetsons, Fat Albert, Fraggle Rock, Muppet babies, Yogi bear, and Beetlejuice. I don't know which of those shows you might remember but there are so many more to get I can't think of them all right now:lol: It's nice finding another CAG who might remember some of the same stuff I do, I was starting to feel old:oldman:

I love Land of the Lost, and Ghostbusters in particular. I remember most of those shows, but never heard of Groovie Ghoulies, Blackstar or Secrets of Isis.

I think the average age of a CAG (and I'm guessing here) is probably around 32. I could be wrong however.

I don't remember exactly when they came out but I'm pretty sure they were all in the 80s. Groovie Ghoulies was a Filmation Saturday morning cartoon, Blackstar was like Tarzan but in Space, and Secrets of Isis was about a reincarnated Egyptian super heroine but it might actually have been from the 70s. I only remember TV shows from the age of 3 on so anything during or after 1978 unless it was a rerun;)

Most people I talk to on here are early to mid 20s, I've only talked to a handful that are in their 30s or older. That would make for an interesting subject for a Poll;)

i've never heard of the same one's sdragon hasn't, along with robotron (i hate mechs for some reason) & starcom. i loved thundercats. i remember pantara (pronounced differently than the metal band) was my fav (was a blue/purple panther guy).

i think i watched every one of those but the jetsons. mass effect was the 1st anything to get me to care about space. land of the lost was my absolute fav, but never was listed in the paper, so i knew when it was supposed to play on saturdays, but sometimes girly shows would be on instead (my little pony maybe? something, idk). loved it when it was on because it wasn't a cartoon. loved fraggle rock, too, until they moved it to HBO only (which you had to pay extra for).

so i'm the average age for a CAG, huh (for 3 mos. anyway)? almost everyone i've dealt with that i felt comfortable enough to ask has been older than myself, now that i ponder it.

nothing if you were a girl, lol. i think i did watch pound puppies a few times, tho. but my little pony & barbie, etc. were not cartoons a growing boy would want to watch.girls could be tomboys, and i had plenty of friends who were (that's who my best friends were as a kid, the girls that liked the same stuff i did), but there was NO tomgirls (or whatever the equivalent would be for boys, lol) that i knew.

"sissies" bump!

spot on. i think it's great to expose children to both sides, but much easier for females. i don't think i'd encourage my son to watch barbie, but encouraaging my daughter to watch G.I.Joe (my #1 FAV) is ok. i just wish society would accept a person for whomever they are/become. i know kids will be kids, but they get the biases (to make fun of others) from parents. no parents are perfect, so that can never happen. socialistic, and liberal ideaology think you can force it upon people by government control, but people will be who they are regardless of what the mandate from the iron fist is.

fortunately, now, when people get older, this generation is much more accepting of who people are. i am a Christian, but i don't force that on anyone. i have many beliefs/morals that come straight frrom the Bible. i do not think anything i believe should be forced on anyone else & vice cersa. i'm not 'for' gay marriages (per se, as it sounded like that's what i was alluding to in the child rearing), but i am not a judge. i don't know if they are born that way. it doesn't matter to me as a person OR a Christian (which is one & the same to me). God created everyone with free will. it is a big deal in His Word. i hate when religious groups use 1Bible verse to condemn people (from a new living standard lo9ving blah blah version, which is so far removed from what the actual transcripts are, it's useless almost). ALL sins can be forgiven. if they covet, they are no different from someone who has homosexual sex (in Biblical terms). the actual Bible contradicts 80% of the mainstream religion claiming to be Christian in present day. 1611 KJV is closest an english reading person can get to manuscripts w/o some effort, but a Strong's Concordance & a KJV Bible can trace EVERY single word back to it's Greek, Hebrew or Aramaic manuscripts. people need to stop judging like they are God. no one knows what the final judgement entails. flesh is sin, so the idea is to point out that we all need Christ's Salvation, not that, eeeewwww your a butt pirate & i'm not so you're going to hell. the only hell ever mentioned to go on longer than the instant the soul disintigrates is the flame that satan & his demons will be put in. the whole world didn't come from Adam & Eve, as they were created AFTER God rested on the 7th day, and mankind (every race) was created on the 6th day. one can even understand that from a normal KJV Bible. the Bible focuses on Adam & Eve, as that is the Geneology of Jesus Christ (umbilical cord to umbilical cord), that God tells satan, their descendants will crush his head. there is no 'rapture'. not in the bible, and the verses they get it from even say it happens at the LAST TRUMP (in revalation, which is after the great tribulation period that they all want to escape). sorry, but i get agrivated that i get lumped in with all these loonies that use God as a cash register to get money from good hearted people that are lied to. i thought about deleting this, but i spent too much typing time, lol. so sorry it's in your thread. i will move it to mine if you wish.

anyway. everyone is different. God made everyone different. God is LOVE, and loves everyone. He wants ALL to come to repentance & salvation, and gives them another chance in the 1000 years that Christ reigns on earth (millenium some call it). i hate that everyone has some reason that people that aren't identical are evil. we have had tons of idots in US history alone, like wiping out the Native Americans, slavery, etc, etc, etc. different is good. you don't learn anything if everyone is the same (or it eventually becomes stagnant). other cultures, other sexes, other sexual prefernces, other religions, other anything is GREAT. people fear change, but on the 6th day (after God created everything except the human bloodline for Christ), God looked at His creation, and it was GOOD. not only the a certain part, but in it's entirety (also, 1 day with man is equal to 1000 years to God, and those 6 days [whether it be 6 days to God or man] were not the beginning of time. the manuscripts say the earth "BECAME without form, and void" in Genesis 1:2. it was not created that way. the Bible never says how old the earth is, but most belive it's billions of years old, and God's Word does not dispute that).

/rant. very sorry if this offends you, and i will move it if you want. no biggie. i just hate discrimination of any type, and people using the Bible to justify theirs just irks me so badly.

You didn't offend me. You made some good points. Sad how wars have started over religion. It's the differences we have that makes the world truly special.

You watched the Thundercats but not the Silverhawks?! Pound puppies were okay but they were on at the same time as another show I watched so I didn't see too many episodes. I watched almost anything and everything cartoon related as a kid since I was the youngest  You can let your kids watch pretty much any of the cartoons from the 80s just not Teddy Ruxpin.... that would scar them for life ;)
I always wanted, but never got Teddy Ruxpin. Curse my parents.
that thing was EXPENSIVE! it cost more than the GI Joe aircraft carrier that i got 2 yrs later (it took me forever to convince my moms to get it), and it was 7 foot long.
I remember always wanting, but never getting Teddy Ruxpin.
Be glad you didn't, my cousin had one and while she liked it I thought it was creepy. I don't remember when it came out but I remember thinking that I was too old for toys like that at the time
