I was just there at lunch. On a large fries and their new chicken sandwiches, you get a Best Buy buck (worth $1 at Best Buy) guaranteed with a 1 in 3 chance of getting a $3 piece. You can use these in-store and online. You can only use up to $3 worth on a CD or DVD, but you should be able to use as many as you want on games. I ordered a large chicken sandwich meal and ended up with 2 $3 bucks and a free sandwich. Good luck!

EDIT:

HEre are the official redemption rules. Other than the $300 limit per visit, I see nothing in here that would prevent you from stacking them on games.

There was this walking around BB begging people to join reward zone for free, so I gave in.
I also used my BBB online for some earbuds and a PS2 stand. I double dipped them in store for a PC game pad.

I think I'm gonna get Ultramix 3 on BB.com...and then use my pieces in-store for Guitar Heroes...sound good? (I have $35 BBB.)

Sounds like a plan to me, I'm also going to double dip my BBB for Guitar Heroes in store.

Good luck using them in-store, Rig. The dickishness seems to have increased in-store for using them with more than $3. I'd use them as soon as you can.

I haven't been in there for a good month or so, but I do know one of the cashiers. If she still works there, maybe I can go through her checkout...if not, I'll put up with their crap, if it means I (eventually) get what I want.

three weeks ago i used 100 best buy bucks on the padded ak rocker chair...had not a single problem. they took my info and i left.

yesterday i went back and tried to using my remaining 80 on guitar hero and the supervisor cashier said shed need my license so she can email forward it to fraud claims, staring at me like i stole all them.

Do you have any idea how hard these would be too steal? they have no rites accusing me, considering everytime id spend best buy bucks the cashiers almost always *ALWAYS* looked around while i was walking away and slipped them in their pockets.

gee i wonder why Best buy is refusing to take more then 3 BBB cause they know people are ripping them off,...

Gee I think i will go into Toys r us today and Buy 10 green tag games and take them all back to walmart tonight for a full refund. You cant say anything against it cause we are doing the same thing .. Ripping a store off

i hope best buy has someone checking these tickets once they get sent to the corp office and they file fraud charges against everyone who double dips. then again if they dont im sure their karma will catch up to all of them sooner or later

Whoa i must have missed something... but if they got these BBB from McDonalds how is it ripping the store off?

Care to explain?

EDIT: Oh ok.. so people are double dipping by using them on both the website and the B&M.

Ok, that's fraud and just not right.
Whoa i must have missed something... but if they got these BBB from McDonalds how is it ripping the store off?

say you get 30 coupons from mcdonalds each being a buck. so you got 30 bbb what these people are doing is using these 30 BBB online to get a 30 buck game and then turning around and using those same 30 BBB instore to get a 30 bucks game

You only had 30 BBB but you spent 60 so you just ripped Best buy off 30 bucks .. that is just like walking into best buy sticking a game under your jacket and walking out the door with it. either way you just ripped off the store

Come off it slidecage. If they really thought this double-dipping was a big problem, they'd CHANGE THE RULES. Obviously, they can at any time, change the rules or cancel the contest. It's that simple. Since they haven't done that, then they must not feel that they are losing much of anything. Also, if they are going to make a contest of this magnitude, they should've realized their system of coupon wasn't a good one, before it got out of hand. And saying "just taking a game and sticking it in your jacket" isn't the same thing. With this contest, I have given money to McDonald's and Best Buy that I wouldn't have given them in the first place. I have $35 BBB. By getting a game online that's $45, BB is getting $10 from me. By buying a $75 game instore, they are getting $40 from me. They are getting money from me, meaning they wouldn't get any money from me if I just stole a game. Oh, and I don't believe in karma. I think I'll still be sleeping well tonight.

So lets get this straight for the record. Its "OK" for best buy to rip the general public off by signing us up for magazines without asking our permission and charging our cards for the price of the full year, but it isnt ok for us to spend best buy bucks. Don't even tell me no they dont do that, ive seen it time and time again. They take advantage of people on cell phones then they turn around and take advantage of non english speaking people by forcing them to sign up for magazines when they dont even know they are getting them.

The worst best buy will end up doing is taking the double diping and "see it" finally and change it next year so we cant use codes online, Or just not have the promotion at all.

dont worry they wont have it next year at least that is the rumors flying at best buy. look at the online mcdonald game this year and compair it to last year and you see how it went to hell big time. I wouldnt be shocked if they took the online game off next year and just took off the entire BBB. This is like the 7 or 8th year and only the 3rd year BB has been a part of this. So i wouldnt be shocked to just see Mcdonalds running this promo all by itself next year..

o and i never recall anyone putting a gun to the customers head saying Take these mags or else .. none forces anyone to sign up for anything and if they did you wouldnt have to pay the bill anyways cause you can say the cashier forced them to order them or they didnt understand ... simple as that in not paying the bill ...

...but its still underhanded tactics. BAD BUISNESS if you will. You normally try and help/cater to the customers, but Best-Buy seems SO driven by $ its not even funny.

Yes... I understand Buisness want to make $, but by being complete dicks about it you kinda push away some of the people who may buy your stuff.

funny, just the other day i was in best buy and witnessed one of their great "forces"

A middle aged mexican man who didnt speak much english was buying a tv on his credit card. He understand very little what the cashier said. The cashier saw this, so after he swiped the card, he signed the pad, it went threw , she quickly typed in the magazine subscrption stuff, then told him the signature didnt take, and had him sign it again, confirming the magazine subscription.

and just like i said very simple to say they didnt understand what they was doing and refuse to pay the bill. All they do is put Cancell didnt order or Cancell didnt understand Terms and they will cancell your bill.. Now if that peson takes all 52 issues then they have no right to say they was billed unfairly. ... Also why wouldnt this person see mag subscription on the recept that is their fault for not seeing it. and if you saw it why didnt you say something. they need to fire people like that who work at best buy,,,

Your sticking up for them? You really are a worthless fuck arnt you?

they need to fire people like that who work at best buy

...but they would need to re-hire %75 of thier staff...really. of the 5-6 local BB, that really is the case where at least %75 of thier employees are completely worthless corporate shills.

at least im not a fucking theif like all the people who are double dipping the coupons
first, pray you can even spend one of them in store.
Even if they hassle you about it it's still valid right? I mean if I were to call up corperate, they'd side with me correct? I specifically held on to my BB bucks despite temptations in order to pick up Mario Kart DS next week, so I'm really hoping Best Buy isn't coping out on this.

No, there isnt any promises in stone corporate would let you spend them. As a matter of fact, somewhere earlier in this thread a guy stated when he called corporate at the store, they told him all store managers decisions we're final and 1-888-best-buy stands behind them completely.

That's a 180-degree stance from earlier last month, when I had this same issue.

fucking BB needs to pick one way and not waffle to the other.

I need to keep this in mind when the next BB/McD's promotion comes out.

I have heard that same line about once the manager makes the decision in store that is it, in regards to another issue I had a few years ago with a Best Buy issued coupon. They refused to honor their own coupon even though I was completely in terms with what the rules of the coupon were and I complained to Best Buy and I got the same type of response.

I still havent gotten my $20 Gift Card from my complaint...

I really dont want to call to complain that my gift card for complaining hasnt arrived...sounds retarded, but $20 is $20...and i really want to throw that at Guitar Hero

That's the issue I've peeved about. It's a "do as I do, not as I say (or as it's printed)" attitude. fuck that.

Normally takes 3 weeks or as long as a month.
Normally takes 3 weeks or as long as a month.
oh.
The guy said 7-10 days, which did have me confused but happy. I'll keep waiting then. I just hope it comes before the BBB expire...

Okay, folks... I'm sure we can all agree that when it comes right down to it, Best Buy sucks. They have crappy customer service and crappy prices and generally crappy employees.

However, that doesn't change the fact that "double dipping" is shady... (And this is coming from someone who's double dipped about $100 worth - although all mine came legit-wise from Fries and Chicken Sandwiches...)

Two wrongs don't make a right and all that...

True, my salt intake due to eating so many large fries was horrendous and double-dipping (even triple or more) my Best Buy Bucks is shady activity.

Well, I finally made it into BB today. Grabbed Guitar Heroes (and the System of a Down sampler CD) and headed to the counter. The guy looked at the stack of BBB I produced and said, "Oh, got quite a few of them!" I nodded. He rang up the game and CD, called the manager over to do the override, and didn't say a thing about stacking them. I paid $39 total.
Not a good mouse. Not at all.
well yea, a $10 mouse would suckass. i was thinking of getting one of the new logitech gaming mouse and adding money in addition to the BBB.

I'm not sure if BB sells the Razer Copperhead, but if they do, jump on it. Best mouse I've ever had the pleasure of owning. Sure, it doesn't make me teh uber1337 gamer man, but at least a crappy mouse isn't an excuse anymore.

well i went to get dragon quest 8 using 50BBB and was told limit 3 per item. I was like NOPE and the manager said something like we are only taking 3 i can write any new rules down on paper, what sort of made me laugh. So i called the 888 line and they had the person talk to the store at the same time and I find this funny cause the store must of been giving the CS person the same line

CS The store will take the coupons and that is Final (sort of said it very rude to the store worker)

so im going back around 3pm to see if they got the game ....... the manager pissed me off big time when they walk up and acted Im only taking 20 of those and there is nothing you can do about it

im going to love black friday cause im walking in with 300 bucks and im not getting out of line until the accept them

Well I just had a very frustrating time at BB when I tried to use $42 in BBB to by the F.E.A.R. PC game (on sale for $42.95). First I was told by the cashier that I could only use $3. I said that's not true. So I didn't buy the game, I went out to my car, got the rules and went to Customer Service. To make a long story short, after an 1 hour, I walked out without the game. I was first told that I couldn't use ANY on a PC game, then I was told that I could only use $3. We looked at my rules, they printed out rules and we looked at them. Then they gave up and said that I could do it. Then the register acted up and the girl had to go to another register, then another CSR came by and said she could only do it for half the cost of the game. Finally after arguing with Louie, I left in frustration. I called the 888 # and waited another 1/2 hour. The rep said she would email the general manager. I said that wouldn't help me with the employees. So she called the store and talked to the manager and said that I could go back and use them. I have the names of two managers. I'll keep my fingers crossed. (nearly 2 hours to save $42 - boy am I cheap or what?)

if you just wanted to play the online game you could of got tons of opened pieces dirt cheap... should of asked cause i just tossed around 400 unused codes in the trash Yesterday.. online game really sucked this year i had everyone besides the rare pieces within the first 5 days of the online game. the 4 trains prize was gone in the 2nd week cause someone hit short line on the 9th day

you must really got some crapy pieces if you only won 3 food items out of 120 pieces. i was pulling food items out of every 4 pieces

Agreed. I was even in the same situation as the post you were responding to. Bought F.E.A.R., picked up in store, used 35 BBB, got it cheap as hell. God bless America.

I love it when people try to convince themselves that stealing is ok by writing a painstaking essay blaming the company instead of themselves. "It's their fault! They should change the rules!" A little class here, perhaps? Just because Best Buy lacks it doesn't mean everyone else needs to turn into a bunch of fraud-loving pricks.

You know damn well that you're not supposed to use the coupons twice, but you do. That's all there is to it...or, as you would say, "it's that simple." Hope everyone enjoyed it this year, since they probably won't bother with it next year - or at least really limit it - thanks to stuff like this.

I'm not trying to convince myself of anything. I know what I did. Hell, one employee and a manager at the BB in town knows what I did. I told them. They laughed. And I wouldn't be surprised if more of you around here pointing the finger aren't doing the same thing...

plus lets not include the fact there is no promise best buy will even do the best buy bucks promotion again next year anyway, lets not forget. Wether people abuse it with double dipping or not, it could of been in jeporady no matter who was doing what.

How dare anyone stick up for best buy..id gladly use the coupons 100 times in a row if i could just to fuck with them.

They need to change policys and fire employees who try to scam customers...every single promotion every single sale you go into a various best buy and you are given a hard time you are told a lie by managment.

How is best buy set up? Do they get a bonus if they limit your deals?
Do they get to pocket money your suposed to get and claim u got a deal u didnt realy get when u were told limit this or limit that?

Bestbuy has been under fire for horrible costumer care for the past few years they need to be slamed with some fines.
