I was just there at lunch. On a large fries and their new chicken sandwiches, you get a Best Buy buck (worth $1 at Best Buy) guaranteed with a 1 in 3 chance of getting a $3 piece. You can use these in-store and online. You can only use up to $3 worth on a CD or DVD, but you should be able to use as many as you want on games. I ordered a large chicken sandwich meal and ended up with 2 $3 bucks and a free sandwich. Good luck!

EDIT:

HEre are the official redemption rules. Other than the $300 limit per visit, I see nothing in here that would prevent you from stacking them on games.
Agreed. I was even in the same situation as the post you were responding to. Bought F.E.A.R., picked up in store, used 35 BBB, got it cheap as hell. God bless America.

I love it when people try to convince themselves that stealing is ok by writing a painstaking essay blaming the company instead of themselves. "It's their fault! They should change the rules!" A little class here, perhaps? Just because Best Buy lacks it doesn't mean everyone else needs to turn into a bunch of fraud-loving pricks.

You know damn well that you're not supposed to use the coupons twice, but you do. That's all there is to it...or, as you would say, "it's that simple." Hope everyone enjoyed it this year, since they probably won't bother with it next year - or at least really limit it - thanks to stuff like this.
So basically you are telling me to play by the rules and not double dip (Ok, I agree with that). But at the same time you are telling me to order online because Best Buy doesn't/won't play their own rules in store. Now that doesn't seem fair. They (and McD) came up with the promo, they wrote the rules, I'm following the rules, but still Best Buy won't let me do it. And you say I should let them get away with it and just order online so I don't have to deal with rude and incompetent people.

Well I went back to the store, talked to the Manager that the 888-BESTBUY lady called on the phone and got F.E.A.R. for $1.05. Yet somehow I feel like the dick - even though I followed the rules and they didn't.
I just got Shadow of the Colossus, for $16.80. Instore pick up is the best way to go. Absolutely no hassle whatsoever
Yup. I tried an instore pickup and buying stuff during the same visit. Pickup went smoothly. Buying stuff didn't.

just went back today to pick up a copy of DQ8 for a present and i used a 5 buck reward zone coupon. Total price 47.68 after tax .. So i give the dude 48 coupons and the cashier goes "" you still own me 2 bucks" I said im not going to give you 50 bucks for a 48 buck game and this person standing behind me VEry upset goes " its only 2 damn dollars" i turn to them and said thats not the point the point is im not going to pay 50 bucks for a game that was quote at 48... after 10 mins the manager came along and over rode it but they was pissed big time..

About best buy doing it next year... I heard from a worker (i went to school with them) Best buy will demand that Mcdonalds changes the way it runs the promo or Best buy will not do it next year... Mcdonalds is pissed at Ebay

what im hearing from them is next year the game will have a strick limit of 3 bucks off any item (something like amazon did with the star wars promo where the coupons couldnt stack) every coupon will be 3 bucks (some are saying 4 bucks ) But it will be limit 1 coupon per person per visit

personally i think it will kill the promo but who knows. mcdonalds is looking at the way Burger king ran its promo with amazon and may follow the same path

This is coming from a BB worker so take it for what its worth (not much)

Here's what I hope happens.

I want the BB promo to end, I want McDonald's sales during the Monopoly promo to drop, and then for McDonald's to seek a new retailer to give better deals.

i doubt mcdonalds sales will drop. Mcdonalds has been running this promo for years before Best buy jumped aboard
i doubt mcdonalds sales will drop. Mcdonalds has been running this promo for years before Best buy jumped aboard
Put it a bit into perspective. Many of us here bought tons and tons of stuff from them, mainly for the BB bucks. If they didn't have them, I'd still eat there occasionally, but nowhere near as much during this time of year. I think the same would go for most people here. Multiply that by other people who would potentially do the same and multiply by some unkown variable relating to the number of zits on the cook's forehead and you've got some serious number crunching.

Yeah, I don't know where I was going with that either. :whistle2:k

For real man.. Bad Buy can go fuck themselves. I got Shadow of the Colossus and some Stax Sour Cream and Onion chips for free in store. Online I got Duel Masters PS2, Namco 50th Anniversary Collection PS2, and a Pong t-shirt shipped to me for free. :)
If you are going to double dip, can you do online then in store?
Well that's the only way to double dip them.
If you are going to double dip, can you do online then in store?
Yes, or you can write down the online codes, use them in store, then later use them online.

Shouldn't you have just given him 45 coupons? Cuz RW zone and BB bucks are both tax free.

was in best buy yesterday looking at HDTVS (decided i wanna get one before the 360). saw someone checking out trying to buy a 2000 dollar LCD TV. When the manager asked where he got them, he told the manager he wrote away 1800 SASE's. Woah. Only took 300 of them of course. No doubt hell find a way to spend em all.

Just redeemed by $15 Best Buy Bucks after noticing that they were going to expire on December 3rd, 2005. As I walked up to the counter, I was ready for an interrogation but was relieved when I saw a young Asian man who appeared to be a gamer running the register. As I handed over the $15 Best Buy Bucks, he asks his supervisor who immediately says that I can only use $3 BBB on a game right off the top of his head and refers to the "extended game rules."

Then I pulled out my gameboard piece with the official rules printed on them about BBB usage. I read aloud the part about "3 of any title" and he then repeats "Yes, $3 limit on any game," But then I ask him to read it again, word for word, then he realizes what the wording actually meant and I had to explain to him it meant 3 copies of a single title, not $3 in BBB.

So I had to fill in this information sheet like I did when buying Burnout Legends w/ the $5 off PSP game coupon. Of course, I bullshitted all the info and proceeded to walk out the store with a $14.99 copy of Nintendogs for my little sister.

I want to preorder animal crossing with these coupons through Best Buy's site but I want to choose in-store pick up as my shipping option.

Is that a possiblity?

I picked up EyeToy: Kinetic with the best buy bucks.I really need it after eating all those premium sandwich and french fries.

Wait, so am I understanding this correct? Other than DVDs and CDs, I can use as many tickets as it takes up to $300 per a visit? If so, this is great. Time to go to McDonalds. I already have $8 from the Monopoly game (the expire on the 3rd though).

really noone seems to know.. i talked to 2 people at the 888 line and

1 person said the item will ship

1 person said the item will be cancelled the day before it ships cause the coupons are only good to DEC 3.. that the coupons must be cashed in BY DEC 3 and the preorder the coupons would not be used till after dec 3 making the coupons VOID

so if you want to take the risk go for it.
they wouldnt let me use more than 3 dollars on a game no matter what i did, fuckers
Call 1-888-BESTBUY and talk to Customer Service. Hopefully they will call the store and talk to a manager. Get the phone rep's name and the manager's name. Hopefully they will honor their own rules... This is what I had to do after a very frustrating time in store.

yeah. Just in case anyone has forgotten, the coupons all expire December third. So you've got to use them if you've got them. Went to Bestbuy today and picked up Mario and Luigi: Partners in time. The lady was very nice. Didn't scan each and everyone, but counted up the total (30ish dollars) and had the magaer do a maual over-ride. Based on this entire thread it's all YMMV with these. Either you'll have s huge pain or easy-peasy times.

eh doesn't bother me that much, i bought a 360 headset online with my coupons, then at the store i got PDZ with the 10 bucks off coupon I saw here, they were at least nice enough to add the 3 bucks from the McD. bucks to the 10 bucks off. eh oh well...

on another message board people are saying the 888 line is hanging up on people complaining... i just called today and was told

sir we have people who are spending $ in our stores who have questions on this line and we dont have time to deal with bbb problems

Ha... *sigh* well I went through it already and all of the coupons stacked up nicely and they took it off of the grand total ($13 off of 34.99 + 1.99 s&h (i can change the shipping later) ) so I was left with 25 and some change to be charged to my card. Seems like it should work... I hope it does. Damn.

EDIT: Well this should come as a glimmer of hope for people reserving games... taken straight from my order page.

*Prices have been changed to reflect the current price of your product. Tax is calculated on the discounted amount, and any credits have been adjusted accordingly.

Sounds like they have already been cashed in.

WOW! That's rude. I guess since it's approaching the expiration date, they don't give a damn. Well it worked for me two weeks ago when I called.

I thought you were going to use yours on BF and not budge until they honored them?

So, if i put a $39.99 game in my cart and check out, and use 8$ worth of bestbuy bucks, bringing it down to $31.99 for in-store pickup... would they let me use the 10$ off coupon when i go into the store to pick it up and pay for it? What do you think?

If so, I may finally pick up BF2 for xbox... $21.99!

thanks.

I don't think it will work. BBBs are considered coupons and I think the system will not allow two coupons to be used even if you can get the CSR to do it. Good luck, won't hurt to try.

CLICK
That happened to me 3 times yesterday!!! This is how the 1st time went:
Me: Hi, do you know about the Best Buy Bucks Mcdonalds Monopoly promotion?
Him: What.. what, no I don't...mpfmmpfpfp
Me: Oh can you get some one who does know?
Him: I'm just kidding I know what your talking about, just a sec, I will put some one. please hold.
Me: *I hold* 5 min go by and I then realize that the fucker hung up on me.

I HATE BEST BUY!

sorry for Double Post but what does this line mean? "Limit 3 of any 1 CD, DVD or video game title per store visit."

EDIT: Nevermind, I got it

well 99% of the stuff i wanted from best buy was the season 24 movies. i got them by the webpage.. Funny story though.. I was hoping that someone would have a cheap camcorder or dvd recorder in sundays ads.. they dont

so funny thing is im going to end up spending 150 BBB on the same DVD recorder i could of got for 100 bucks (after mail in rebate) Black friday...

i called again and was giving a managers name at the best buy store that said they will honor them

so
tomorrow im going to go pick up Guitar hero for 70 BBB
Friday im going to go pick up the dvd recorder (using only 120 BBB ) most you can use online (online price is 20 bucks cheaper)

This will leave me with around 80 Best buy bucks... THey are now saying you can use it on game hardwere

so i might take that last 80 bucks and either buy another guitar hero or a gamecube system mario bundle

i told the dude on the 888 line that i wont do this again next year and he said they have got over 500 people calling in complaining saying the same thing

only way i will do this next year if im well (hopefullY)

1 in 4 wins 4 bucks or Major Prizes in the chance. comm, chest online game (like in the first year)

If it goes back to 99% of all pieces are 1 buck (like last year) and the online game sucks (like this year) I will be staying far far away from what i did this year

i might play it next year for up to 50 BBB but i wont go nuts like this year (total 380 bbb)

i think that is what is confusing the best buy workers.... sad how something that small can make such a mess of this game

No, I think it charges your credit card when you order online. I think the transaction is already basically done when you pick it up, they just ask for id and the card for verification. This is what I was told once.
