In an older thread everything went to sh*t once it became full of referrals and it was worthless for anything else.
If that starts happening here, I'll delete the thread and be done with it.

I get to the referral website and when I search and then click it takes me to the meta store.

So I have a 30% off coupon expiring on the 20th. I thought I was going to use it on Assassins Creed. But then that went on sale for 50% off so I snagged it immediately. Now I’m not sure what to get with it. I’d like to get something that isn’t on PSVR2 since multi plat games tend to get sweetened up a bit compared to their quest counterparts

I used it on Beat Saber, but I don't have that on PSVR.

I'd recommend Beat Saber. Sales are rare and the wireless experience is great. Most everything else gets pretty regular sales, better than 30%

Was the coupon a random promo from Meta?
 
Apparently the coupon works on sale items. Did not expect that. Would have just applied it to my Assassins Creed purchase to save an extra $6.

Is Bonelab worth $21 (after coupon)? I’m out of my referral money so I have to think harder about my purchases now
 
Ah, haven't redeemed that yet.

Only thing I'd use on immediately is Trombone Champ. But if it has a far-off expiry date, I'd try to use it for the new Alien game... think it drops in Feb2025

I've played Avicii so I knew what that would be like, just didn't expect the VR version to feel so trippy. Pleasant surprise really.
Last Worker is something else I've wanted but never found a low sale price, so nice to get that for a $1
Runner and Drums Rock are the two that I expect to provide most enjoyable "VR experience", aside from Batman.
And the last 2, Madrid and Battlescar are sorta throwaway choices, since they're short. But I think they'll be cool experiences.

I'm pretty much trying to find stuff that provide a more unique experience than what i already get from my pc and console. As oppose to something being VR for the sake of VR.
 
A small bit off-topic, but wanted to share a warning to Meta Quest users.

Do NOT purchase the Zenni Prescription Lenses.

I know many people like them, but I got a pair yesterday and the right lens is completely STUCK after the first time I put it in. Multiple people in my house tried all evening to get it off, and we tried looking online for any possible solution. It got to the point where we were worried about breaking the Quest due to how much pressure we were applying.

I've been talking to Zenni and they have offered no help and no solution. I have an email out to Meta and knowing them, I assume they'll tell me they can't do anything either.

So my two week old device is now completely borked essentially (at least I can use it, but no one else) and no company is willing to even help, let alone offer some possible remedy or take responsibility.

I don't know if it was just a faulty manufacturing issue with this one lens, but giving a warning: do not buy from Zenni

Follow up to this post, and then ya'll can get back to the sweet deals.

I ended up managing to finally pry it off with far too much pressure than should be needed. The device and lens look fine - I have no idea what caused it to get so stuck and don't plan to experiment to find out.

Zenni was a major hassle to start a return. After 45 minutes of chat support, I had to threaten to do a charge back before they authorized the return. Overall, I was on support with them in some fashion over the past two days for about 3 hours.

So yeah, can't say I recommend them.
 
@Doomburrito7, glad you managed to get things fixed eventually. Sucks dealing with bad customer service, but great to know the headset is safe and functional. And thanks for the warning
 
I'm glad you got the lense off too. I invested in lasik about 7 years ago after having glasses (then contacts) since I was in 6th grade, and it's one of the best decisions I've ever made. If it's a possibility (for anyone), I'd recommend it.

Glad you were able to get it sorted out. I on the other hand, have 4 sets of their lens. No issues at all.

yeah, most people online seem to love them. I placed an order with HonsVR today, but then cancelled it after thinking now would be a good opportunity to actually get my first eye exam in years. If I'm going to spend money on prescription lenses, might as well actually make sure mine is correct.

I will note, HonsVR refunded/cancelled my order in about 30 seconds with a nice human-written email as well, which kind of blew me away. Could have just got them at a good time, but dang, that's good service, lol.

I've got like 6 people who accepted my referrals over a week ago who never finished. I don't know why the app continues to show them - as it would be expired now anyway, right?
 
Do they expire after they're accepted? Is there a time limit between a referral being accepted and the headsets being registered?

Creed is cheaper than the PSVR1 to PSVR2 upgrade fee. I’ve been waiting to upgrade till it was a bit cheaper. I’d like the headset rumble feature but $9 is hard to resist. Don’t know what other game I’d want to get though. Most things I either own on another platform or haven’t heard of
 
I was just playing a little Tenbillion Table Tennis, a free table tennis app that , while it won't pull me away from Eleven Table Tennis, is pretty good!
It got me wondering if any of you have run across any free apps that have taken up a lot of your time or seemed particularly good that you think others might enjoy. You could waste days looking through all the free apps out there.

V-speedway is pretty amazing for free. And it's a good test of how strong your stomach is for racing games :)

I like "Tennis Esports", which was a paid app until recently and is now F2P. What drew me to it initially was a review from a supposed tennis coach who claimed that this game was pretty authentic to the real game. That's the kind of thing I like most about VR - that skill transfer to real-world use.
If anyone knows of anything else like that, I'm open to recommendations.

What drew me to it initially was a review from a supposed tennis coach who claimed that this game was pretty authentic to the real game. That's the kind of thing I like most about VR - that skill transfer to real-world use.

I know many people like them, but I got a pair yesterday and the right lens is completely STUCK after the first time I put it in. Multiple people in my house tried all evening to get it off, and we tried looking online for any possible solution. It got to the point where we were worried about breaking the Quest due to how much pressure we were applying.

I've been talking to Zenni and they have offered no help and no solution. I have an email out to Meta and knowing them, I assume they'll tell me they can't do anything either.

So my two week old device is now completely borked essentially (at least I can use it, but no one else) and no company is willing to even help, let alone offer some possible remedy or take responsibility.

I don't know if it was just a faulty manufacturing issue with this one lens, but giving a warning: do not buy from Zenni

I've heard good things about HonsVR and VROptrician if you're looking for other options. I assume my case was just a rare manufacturing error but their support was so incredibly terrible that I just can't recommend Zenni
