It sucks that you can't buy a digital game on the eshop unless you've already got a system connected to your account. I don't have a Switch yet (just waiting for a resotck on the OLED), and the store won't even let me buy any games on sale in the meantime.
In theory, you could have someone else log your account onto their Switch, and you could then purchase games... the only problem being that I don't think you can buy a game if any other account on that system already owns it.

Monster Train First Class is on sale for $22.49 on the eshop. I played this a good amount on PC, and it is a good deck building game that also comes with the DLC. I'll let people know if there are quirks in the port once I try it out.

Has anyone pre-ordered from best buy before and shipped to home? Does it usually arrive the day of or few days after?
it has been a while, but in my experience, as long as you preorder a week or more before the release date, I always got the item on release day or the day after. if you make any changes to address or payment method within that week window, it messes everything up. also in my experience I was more likely to get the items that came out on tuesday on release day rather than the games that came out friday. the tuesday release items would always ship on friday and be held til tuesday. friday releases sometimes wouldn't ship til thursday but were close enough to deliver on saturday.

I've pre-ordered many niche games especially from Best Buy. I usually get my games release day or sometimes a day after. An example of this is Blue Reflection the new one shipped out Monday and I'm getting it today. Cupid Parasite was delayed in shipping but I got it within a day of shipping. Bigger games have usually arrived on the release date. I ordered SMTV as well and can let you know if I receive it this Friday.

I'm really hoping this one gets a physical release on Switch. I going to wait a little longer to see if it happens. The Devs do seem interested in making it happen in the future. Just no news as of yet.

I've done a few preorders through BB... most of the time I get them a day before release. I think it all just depends on where you are located versus where they ship from.

SMT V is the game I pre-ordered over month ago and I'm hoping to get day of lol

I didn't notice any significant differences in performance from the X1 version that I played on game pass. Seems fine to me(although I don't notice little dips in fps etc as much as many seem to)

With the Castlevania Advance collection being on sale on PSN, would definitely be tempted to buy if goes on sale on the eshop. Although being on sale so quickly, I can see it being $10 soon but it's more than worth the price even at full price.

For me every time I preordered it only ever had store pick up but was always available day of release or minimum the day after. I never got why the majority of the time shipping is disabled for my area. Which is dumb since there's not even a best buy near by and the closest one is about 20 minutes away. I haven't preordered from them in a long time though. I honestly can't even tell you what was the last game I preordered from them for that matter either. Probably either a tales of title or persona 4 vita.

My Target order shipped today, and is scheduled for Saturday. It was originally estimated next week.

I'll take it.

Best Buy is shipping my SMTV today, so I expect it on Saturday as well. Seems like BB has been shipping the day before release for me. My city is not as close to a BB warehouse, so it takes about 2 days from shipping. Seems like the pattern.

GS has a Buy 2, Get 1 Free promo on select new games, and Shin Megami Tensei is one of them. It's said to come with $10 Game Coin too, but I think the program has been discontinued, so if you don't get your Coin, you'll have to call to get your $10.

last year first party switch games were $30 at walmart. looks like it's mostly the same titles but with higher prices. guess the shipping issues aren't helping

Streaming some Shin Megami Tensei V, if you want to see that in action.

Edit: Here's the archive. Two hours of early game stuff, so no spoilers. Enjoying it so far, especially with more open areas to explore for side quests, more items, and collectibles.

I don't know why, but POSTAL was discounted to 99 cents in the eShop for me.

It's not the "normal" sale price, so it's some sort of targeted/ownership discount, but the publisher doesn't appear to have any other eShop titles, so I'm not really sure what's triggering it....

The GameStop B2G1 sale is pretty amazing. I can't recall when they've done B2G1 on new games, but I don't keep up with them a lot.
I think theres been 1 B2G1 on new games from them that I can remember in the last 10 years or so. But yeah its insanely rare. It's happened at Best Buy a few times in that same timespan

Walmart had cancelled my order of the Splatoon 2 + DLC bundle few days ago - thankfully Amazon price matched and I got the bundle.

A tad bit pricey but it looks like the lowest the game is gonna go now is $35 this year's BF and the DLC never goes on sale....and is $55, so $5 difference.

DLC has been $9.79 before at gamestop. Splatoon 2 has been cheaper physically through the buy 2 get 1 free (used) promo at gamestop last year. But the walmart deal is probably the cheapest it's been digitally with the DLC.

Game + DLC (physical game + dlc digital code) cheapest price would've been $16.66 + $9.79 = $26.45
