I think I had downloaded Star Wars Hunters with the intent to try it, guess I will just delete it now and never touch it and clear up the hard drive space.

Thinking of grabbing another Picross during the sale (just one). I have all the Picross e titles on 3DS, and I have the Sega one on Switch. Can anyone recommend Namco vs Picross S vs Logiart? And if S, which one?

For the record, I do like obscure old Namco arcade games, as I’ve heard one common complaint about the Namco one is that the games referenced are too obscure, and that’s not likely to be an issue for me.

Logiart Grimoire is a great Picross game, at least for people that want a challenge. I don't know if the Switch version allows it, but on Steam, you can turn off all of the UI hint stuff, even the numbers that dim when completed. It also has more puzzles since they don't have Picross and Mega Picross that just superficially doubles the amount of puzzles in the game.

I picked this up on Steam give the recommendations here. After disabling all the cut scene stuff I'm very happy to have a Jupiter picross to play on the deck. Thanks for the recommendation!

Most of the S ones are the same - normal picross, small-ish color picross, and mega picross. The later ones have the same amount of content.

I just found this interesting action games bundle on sale on the Eshop for $1.99. It is only on sale for 15 more hours.

It had one game I was interested in -DEFLECTOR- so I used the remainder of my gold coins and got these three games for 10 cents.

Contains
DEFLECTOR a hack and slash game action rogue like
SYNDROME a FPS Space station action horror game
WARHAMMER 40,000: DAKKA SQUADRON a dynamic, aerial shooter

All had decent reviews on Steam and I was going to get DEFLECTOR for my steam deck but this was a much better deal for me and a way to use up the rest of my gold coins and get more value.

I ordered 3 games from woot recently and it was fine. Eternights was an ESRB version. Kirby return to dreamland and DK returns were both south east asia versions. Basically they're US carts because I was able to redeem the gold coins for DK on my US account no issue. I would rather save money than care about the cover not having the ESRB rating. DLC should be fine too since they're US carts like I said.

Have you actually bought the dlc? As generally dlc is always region locked. This is the main reason to justify avoiding regional copies.

And this above is why we need many more Complete on Cartridge games and a Definitive list to go by.. DLC or added and fixed games later on after release is annoying for anyone -

I'm streaming some Xenoblade Chronicles X: Definitive Edition if you want to see it in action.

Edit: Here's the archive. It covers story stuff from Act 3, which is like two to four hours in or so when things open up and you can do as many side quests and such that you want. I never played the original version on Wii U, so I don't know what's improved here. It does look very nice and runs pretty well, at least if you avoid causing a lot of chaos.

There's no DLC for the games I bought from woot. US DLC should work though the cart themselves are US carts I don't see why it wouldn't work. If they weren't I wouldn't have been able to redeem the gold points to my account. If they were PAL or JP copies then yeah of course DLC would be an issue but these south east asia copies are straight up US carts with different packaging at least for the Nintendo first party games anyways. Third party could be another issue.

So nicely we got that alarm on ALARMO with the OG Super Mario Bros... there's a new OS update on it that allows different alarms, previewing alarms, and setting the night time sounds to run for up to 60 minutes. I like the woods Zelda BOTW night time sound but wish it ran a few extra minutes, so this is good. Also previewing new alarms is good as I'm not as likely to change if I have to go through the hassle of setting an alarm for a minute in the future to check out each alarm (since each theme will have multiple unique alarms)

I'm guessing the new Alarmo OS version gives us what we really want - the ability to set the alarm from the Switch 2!

Any reliable leaks about what will be shown tomorrow? I would think they show Metroid prime 4 but I think it also is going to be in the switch 2 direct on April 2nd. Obviously a better looking version of it but it's coming out for switch so might as well show it here too.

I want the crappy looking version.

and yes, there is definitely some potential here for "*nudge nudge* look at these this NSW1 vs NSW2 gameplay graphics," as a lead in for next week.

Virtual Game Card coming for digital games on Nintendo Switch. When purchasing the digital version of a game, it will be loaded onto your system as a "virtual game card", allowing you to play that title. Your digital games will lined up as 'virtual game cards' on a dedicated management screen. Here you can load, and eject your VGC and manage which games you can play on your system. coming via a system update in late April.

Loading on a Second System:
If you have two Nintendo Switch systems, you can eject the VGC from one, and load it onto the second. Now you can play this game on the second system whenever and wherever you want, just as if you had inserted a game card. With VGCs, you can freely load and arrange which games you can play on up to two systems. Local connection with your first system is required, but only the first time. You can also lend VGCs to your Nintendo Account Family group members. You can only lend one game at a time to a particular person. Games can be lent out for two weeks, after which they will automatically return to you. Making digital games even easier to use.

New smart device app coming called 'Nintendo Today'.

After delivering news through Nintendo Direct since 2011, 'Nintendo Today' will be meant to act as a supplement. News about Nintendo Switch 2 will be delivered to you daily, and directly, through the 'Nintendo Today' app. App will be available to download onto smart devices later today.

Overall not the most exciting direct, but pretty good. Saga Frontier 2 is my biggest want and I'll have to see if there will be Asian-English physical copies (very, very likely) and will wait for that. Raidou is cool and I hope they don't miss the sequel. Rhythm Heaven games are alright and DQ 1/2 HD2D will be likely second highest want from this direct. Glad I never got the DQ 1-3 Switch release, although I did it get it cheaper digital.

My hype for Prime 4 just deflated to nothing after that. I think Prime Remastered actually has better visuals. The combat still looks exactly the same as it did 23 years ago. I'll still play it, but I guess I was hoping this would be the game to push the series to new heights like BOTW did for Zelda. It's just going to be a safe iterative sequel that Nintendo could have made any time they wanted to.

Yeah, definitely a system winding down, but there's some good stuff. I'm also there for the physical release of Saga Frontier 2, and I'm excited for the Gradius Origins collection with Salamander 3 (probably LRG over here).

I feel like they made game sharing overly complicated with the virtual game card segment.

Honestly, I'm always a little relieved by any of these "lackluster" presentations (where only a few games personally interest me), because that's means I won't buy as much and can get back to playing what I have already.

The game sharing is awesome for families like mine that have 5 Switch's. We have avoided buying digital games in the past because of not being able to share them. This digital cartridge thing is great! I hope Sony and Microsoft get on board with it as well.
