I think these are those clearance games mentioned coming in the other TRU ad thread. These prices go into effect Thursday December 22.
EDIT:this is all I got. The new stuff is listed on the top. If anyone else at TRU has anything to add let me know.

EDIT 3:These prices should be good to go Thursday. I checked the other stores markdown lists in my area Saturday and all of them had the 9.98 games. I got a friend's scanner and posted a page from the markdown list. I hope this works.

EDIT 6:I found the master list which is essentially the green tag games merged with the 12/22 list. I did find some new games that will be part of the B&M sale on Monday but still no Psychonauts for Xbox.

How is that like stealing the game? Asking for them to adjust a price thats not even part of the sale as some of you have is like stealing the game. Especially getting certain games for 4.99 (and up) for "4.99" just because thats what "it says". All I did was scan the REAL upc, not that stupid crap they tagged onto it to try to be slick. Baten Kaitos is part of the sale, got scanned as part of the sale, no one needed to adjust any pricing, nothing, it rung up as its sale price, because of its real upc.

Oh well might as well be like most of you and bitch and cry until they adjust prices that shouldn't even have been adjusted :roll:

Why did they "take care of it at the register"?
 
They're definitely restocking games. I know on Christmas Eve they were out of Resident Evil 4...then yesterday they had about 10 more copies behind the counter...and they rang up for 9.98 still.
 
This went very well for me. After getting some good stuff on Thursday, I checked back on Friday and plenty of good stuff was still available. The second time around I snagged Doom 3, Area 51, Fatal Frame II, and an extra Dawn of Souls for a friend. I'm thinking of going back today to see if they have another Doom 3... I told my friend about the online co-op mode and now he's really curious about it.

I've still got an extra Pikmin 2 from my first haul... I'm looking to trade it for Fatal Frame 1 (XBOX) or Doom 3: Resurrection of Evil (XBOX). PM me or check my thread in the Trading forum if you're interested. And I'm still debating if I should keep Area 51 or trade it.

All I picked up was KOF Max Impact. It was labelled as $40 (which is probably why they still had some) but rang up as $40. I would have gotten a Tekken 5, but the only one I found was one of the empty cases that said to take it to the cashier to get the game itself, and they couldn't find any copies there :(
 
There was still a display case for DarkStalkers but they didn't have any when I brought it up.

Baten Kaitos was $30

I didn't find DDS like I was hoping (They actually had tons in July)

I didn't find Metal Slug 4&5, 3, or Physochonauts.

To a certain extent, it depends how you did it. Removing the bundle upc, or covering/replacing it with the non-bundle upc would be fraudulent. If the employee does the removing or replacing, then it does not necessarily constitute fraud on your part, but if it wasn't a manager, I doubt they'd have the authority to adjust it, and I wouldn't expect too many managers to do the adjustment either.
 
A belated thanks OP for the heads up on this deal as the way my TRU handled all the 9.98 games it would have been a mess if I only heard about this from the flyer Sunday morning and decided to check it out Monday morning not knowing what all was on sale and that they actually had everything go down in price afew days earlier :)

Exactly.... it's no different than let's say, transplanting the UPC for a single DVD onto a box set. The barcode is on there for a reason, it was not just the game, but a bundle with the soundtrack. That bundle was not on sale, the single game was. You took in the barcode for a different item and had the employee ring it up for somehting it wasn't. Your friend should be fired, at the bare minimum.
 
I got Geist for $9.99, anyone else get it at this price? Also, Bomberman DS rang up $19.99 for me.

My store had nothing...i did notice a Psychonauts on the shelf, but it was price $49.99 still (XBOX). I passed. I probably should've tried to get it....oh well.

Just picked up Ghosthunter and Samurai Legend Musashi at TRU ... $9.98 a pop. Didn't see either on the main list so YMMV.

Anybody out there play either of em, the reviews are kinda of mixed for both, especially Ghosthunter?
 
Musashi was a former GT game, so it was switched to $9.99 last month. I believe the same goes for Ghosthunter, so it's definitely not YMMV.

Sort of. It's been on clearance for months. Meanwhile the Xbox version there is still $49. WTF? This is one of the weirdest games for pricing. Target has had the Xbox version for $19.99 for months, too.

*sigh* it was a supervisor that did it and approved it due to it being on "their" lists as she so put it. The fact that I use to work with her helped that she went and did it without giving me any trouble. And how would I "alter" the upc if the game is in one of those lock boxes?

Anyway, for the hell of it. Baten Kaitos is 10$ proven fact, now they have the "bundle version" with a FREE cd, and its 30$. Guess next time I'll just pay 20$ more for my "free" cd which I could care less about anyhow. Irony in all this, bundle or not, it still scans as the same product description as the non-soundtrack version :roll:

Was just giving a heads up about it. Again, the supervisor there approved it and claimed it was on her lists, I just made the entire factor easier.

Again, and this is for spOOge's sake, it was the SUPERVISOR/MANAGER that approved and did all this. I just got a bit carried away with my first post about it. I did have the upc to double check to see if it was the 9.98, but thats about all it was used for. But by your logic now, we should fire all the ignorant managers that approved GT4 for 4.99 and various other titles like star fox assualt because their customers bitched. I'll leave it at that, we all cheapassgamers anyway. Was just trying to share my experience.
 
I just got back from TRU with 4 games:

There were 3 bins filled with games and a rack that was full of GBA games, but most of the games were either crap, I already have, or I just have no interest in. There were tons of Bloodrayne 2. I didn't get a chance to thoroughly look through all of them because I was in a hurry. I might go back and look again. There were some games that I know some people want, however, so I'll list them.

* Area 51 (Xbox)

They didn't have much in at my TRU, but I did manage to pick up Def Jam: Fight for New York(GC), Viewtiful Joe 2(GC) and F-Zero(GBA). I'm hoping they get a restock of Resident Evil 4.

I did have the upc to double check to see if it was the 9.98, but thats about all it was used for. But by your logic now, we should fire all the ignorant managers that approved GT4 for 4.99 and various other titles like star fox assualt because their customers bitched. You just happened to leave out that all impotant fact that the "Manager approved it." That right there woul have been enough for me to let it go as nothing. If the employee had done it unknowingly, well, I already went into that.

Geist, Metroid Prime 2, Bomberman DS, and some other so so titles will be marked down effective at open at all TRU Thursday morning for 9.98. For real.

I'm not joking either, it's on Thursday 12/29's Master Sale/Deal List if any of you other TRU employee types want to look.

Also, Dora Journey to the Purple Planet will be $10 off, if anyone cares.

Will pick up Geist and maybe Bomberman DS. Already got Metroid Prime 2: Echoes a while back, and have barely played it. :D

I've had games that were off the spindle but I have never seen one that was scratched inside the case. Don't worry too much.
