I think these are those clearance games mentioned coming in the other TRU ad thread. These prices go into effect Thursday December 22.

EDIT 3:These prices should be good to go Thursday. I checked the other stores markdown lists in my area Saturday and all of them had the 9.98 games. I got a friend's scanner and posted a page from the markdown list. I hope this works.

EDIT 6:I found the master list which is essentially the green tag games merged with the 12/22 list. I did find some new games that will be part of the B&M sale on Monday but still no Psychonauts for Xbox.

I'm out of town right now. I was going to check the store by san pedro when I was still in SA but I figured it would already be cleaned out by the time I got there.
 
I'll probably check it out anyways today or tomorrow since I'm going to go by the Circuit City that's at the san pedro shopping center to try and pick up a gamecube action replay for $10 anyways. I'll post back my results. It's a shame they closed down the TRU by Ingram though, it was pretty poorly maintained IIRC, but that also meant most of the time the employees were relatively clueless about sales so I could pick up price drops and penny guides without issue.

DS is probably outselling PSP by about 20 to 1. For one thing, it's $100 cheaper and comes with a game. Then there's the lack of games for PSP...I now have 5 games for PSP and about 30 for DS...I got a second DS for my wife but no real reason to get a second PSP yet...no one plays it.

All of the tags were changed at my store finally. Some had the shelf tag changed, others had a red clearance hang tag.

That, the DS starter kit, the PSP starter kit, and some other accessory. Anyone use this wheel? I got the Mad Katz MC2 wheel that works with GC, PS2, and Xbox but it's easier to just play with the regular controller as the wheel isn't that accurate.
 
I'm in Phoenix this week and stopped by a TRU this morning. All the Geists were already pulled and put in a basket. There were at least 15 copies. Yay. Nothing else good tho :(

Missed Bomberman DS, unfortunately.

Passed up lots of Bloodrayne 2, Triggerman, FFCC, Feel the Magic, Pinball Hall of Fame, KoF:MI, and a couple other un-noteworthy titles. I'm surprised some of those are still there. They pulled all the Geist and MP2 and put them in cases on the shelves, not on the $10 table for some reason. This was the Lynnwood, WA store
 
I also picked up Geist today since I was in the area. The price tags were actually on there for $9.98 which almost never happens at my TRU! :)
 
Nabbed 2 copies of Geist today (for myself and a friend) at $9.98 (thanks OP!). Also, I lucked out on Baten Kaitos: The copy I picked up had the new (sticker) UPC on the front, with the old one clear on the back. So I gave it to the clerk face-down for the price check, and $9.99 it was. I'm not sure if all of the BKs were packaged like this or not, but it might be worth checking them out at your local TRU to see.

Yay! I picked up MP2 and Geist after having returned them earlier this week! My clerk who'd rung me out twice already during this sale period didn't know they were down to $10, and she said she needed to take them out of the case and just put them on the floor, since the case is just for games $35+.

I was also contemplating getting that DS starter kit, but I already have everything I need, save for a case for my DS. (BTW, a $4 digital camera memory card case works great for games) While looking over the package, the clerk told me the metal cases were down to $5 each, so I went for one of those.
 
Oh, that's just lovely. Geist is $9.99? I went there last weekend and had the cashier price check some games I wanted. He goes, "Oh, Geist is $50." not even bothering to scan it and I respond by saying , "Well, why does your ad say it's on sale?". No response. MP2 rings up for $49.99 and I go, "Uh, why does that say $49.99? Isn't it suppose to be on sale?", and he responds, "Oh, I have to ring these up to get the actual prices." WELL DO IT DUMBASS.

I walked out after being in line for 15 minutes. I'm never going back to that local TRU, they're all a bunch of fucking morons. They've got four employees walking around while an idiot handles the cash register. I really doubt the other TRU near me have anything left now. :roll:

It would be just great if maybe they could be advanced, you know, like Target, and install a price checker thingey in the R-Zone. I swear ever since they added the "R-Zone" crap like 8 years ago, my local TRU has sucked ass. I miss the good old days with the little paper slips. Ahh memories...
 
My local TRUs suck too, so I didn't bother going.

My mom went to the mall through so I asked her to check on them.

No RE4, but there was Geist, FF:CC, Vitrua Quest and some other GC game for $10 each on a table. I asked her to pick up Geist and FF:CC. Now that I think about it I should have ask her to pick up 2 Geist so I could trad eone for RE4.

Hopefully she has no problems trying to get them....
 
Maybe it's just me but I've never had a problem buying or returning games at my TRU. Further more my CC is the biggest piece of crap ever. My BB gives my problems every once in a while but I usually get them to take whatever coupon I have or PM any game I want. All in all my TOP 3 places to get games has to be:

#1 Toys R Us
#2 Best Buy
#3 Bull Moose Music (Stores only in Maine & New Hampshire)

Notice how Wal-Mart, CC, and K-Mart don't even come close to making the list. All the experiences I've hadd at those places range from okay to shitty.

Anyways, back on topic: I think Geist is definately worth the $10 from what I've played so far.

Just got back from TRU, I got MP2 for $9.98. I asked the clerk to scan GT4 that came to the price of $49.99. I didn't get Geist not sure if I will. I saw Splinter Cell DS but I didn't get it. They still don't have RE4 and they said they don't have StarFox Assault and Bomberman DS. My brother went to another TRU and they scanned Metroid Prime Echoes still at the price of $19.99 and StarFox Assault is full priced. The hunt for RE4, Advance Wars 2 (DS), and Kirby Canvas Curse (DS) continues...

Just got back from the Murfreesboro TN TRU.

I hadn't checked this sight since Tuesday, so I didn't know about Geist and Metroid 2 going on sale. Just for the hell of it, I had the girl ring up a copy of Geist and sure enough, it was on sale as everyone else here had realized. I picked up 3 copies, one for me, one for my friend for Christmas (the guy who told me about this sight and the sale, figured it fitting I get him a gift for his help and since his TRU stinks), and one for another friend, but if he doesn't want, I will offer it here for either Trade or for sale at cost+shipping. I'll update if this is the case.

Also I picked up Final Fantasy:Crystal Chronicles. They got a new shipment of games in, and there were 5 copies of FF in stock. Also when I left there were 4 other copies of Geist for the other Metro Nashville CAGers.

Keep in mind, NONE of the store price tags had been altered, so of course Geist still had the tag at its old $50 price.

If anyone needs me to check inventory at the Murfreesboro TRU let me know, I am going out of town Saturday.

Lots of Fight Night Round 2 for GC, Geist, MP 2, Romance of the Three Kingdom X, Transformers, tons of Xbox games, and even a copy of Wario Ware for the GBA. There's no more Resident Evil 4 or any of the other rarer stuff. I snagged the last Bomberman DS, a copy of RotTK X, Metal Slug 4&5 (in stock for both Xbox and PS2), and Fight Night Round 2 in my 5th trip to a TRU. Give it the Cheapie already, this is the best sale of the year by far.

Damn..I wish I knew about these new price drops this morning! I hit 2 Houston area TRUs(Katy Mills and Sugarland) today, and didn't find much left, but both of them had copies of MP2 and Geist still on the shelves. Luckily, I've already worked a trade for Geist, but I would have liked to pick up MP2 at that price.....Oh well, I guess it's back to the trading forum!

So I finally decided to buy Geist, I went to my local TRU (about 2-4 blocks away). I asked the clerk for it and he told me that they have it laid out on their "classy" bargain table unlike other TRU's "low class" bargain bins (kidding). As the clerk was ringing up my game, I asked if I had to show my ID because other TRUs I went to asked for it. He told me I looked 18+. We started talking about one of the TRU that carded me and talked briefly about the bad parking location of that TRU. I only took a quick look at the table, they still have many Viewful Joe 2, MP2 was on the table with a $9.98 red tag on it and so was Geist. I only saw
a few copies of MP2 and Geist left. Still no RE4 and Bomberman DS.

My mom said Geist was $50 in the isle, and on the table they had a price tag of $10. I'm like "I should take a picture of Toy's R Us with the real price tag".
 
If anyone finds Metal Slug 4/5 for PS2, Metal Slug Advance, or RE4... PLEASE pick them up and I'll trade or buy + prepay shipping and schedule the UPS pickup.

If anyone's looking for anything, post it. My TRU's here in Scottsdale (Phoenix) have a lot of the games on the original and additional lists.

Today I picked up Geist, a PS2 Action Replay Max ($1) and Bomberman DS at TRU and Getaway Black Monday, Rise of Kasai, and Hot Shots Golf Fore ($10 each) at BB.

Grand Rapids TRU on Alpine has one MP2 left and a table of Killzones and Bloodrayne 2's and other stuff not as appealing

I rented Geist (2 free rentals per month with BB DVDs in the mail deal) and I hated it. Maybe I would buy it for $5 . . . but maybe not. I thought it was near unplayable. If you only have Cube and are dying for new games . . . otherwise forget it. I have about 20 better games I could be playing.
 
I was floating around in the... I guess 2nd level trying to figure out what to do. Got stuck on the fucking stairs. It's different in a way, and it's a FPS that isn't making me sick, so it's half good. But a glitch already? That's bullshit!

I think Nintendo just threw this together so they would have something "violent" to stop with the "kiddie" image.
 
Goddamit there are just as many "violent" games for Gamecube as any other system. And probably just as many "kiddie" games for other systems as there are for Gamecube.
