I always do terrible when I play with you guys. Then I jump in solo and regularly a positive K/D with 15-20+ points. Is there still some skill-based matchmaking going on or is it just that when we're in a fireteam we're more likely to be matched up with other fireteams? Though it didn't necessarily seem that way the other day.

It also helped that I stopped using Doctrine of Passing and started using Outbreak Prime. I am getting way more primary kills now. But now that I've moved on to my Titan, where I have the Thorn bounty, I'm really trying to get shotgun (and rocket launcher) kills. I got to 23% after several matches last night. It will take a while.

Shotguns for me too. At least 6 or 7. Yet I didn't get the auto rifle till very late last night. And I don't think I've gotten any arms yet. And no ghost either, which I'd really like to get. I feel like the drops are more frequent but I had more overall luck with previous IBs, even the really crappy ones (where I got that elusive 320 ghost when everyone else was still chasing it).

So get this, 3 of my bounties/rank up rewards were for the fusion rifle. Great, the one weapon I'm never going to use. I also got the scout and pulse rifle though. I tried the pulse rifle out in PvE afterwards and it is OK. But man, during IB it seemed people were one-shotting me with it. I don't know what's up with that. I also got 2 snipers. No heavy weapons at all though.

Yeah, I think arms are all I'm missing on my Titan - would love to get some. I forget - what piece is purchasable from Efrideet? Is it arms? I'll have to go back and check. I did buy both the Hunter cloak and Titan mark since they are 35/25 ones which I understand are a max roll. Warlock may have that as well - will have to check.

I am going to be very busy the next few days but would like to get 2 x Raids, 3 x Nigthfall, 1 x IB (still need to finish up on my Warlock), and some Trials in (just for the gear). I don't know how that's all going to work out, but definitely hit me up for Nightfalls, at least, if you see me on.

Are we doing a CAG raid? Sunday would be best for me. Any time after 4pm Pacific.

That wasn't even solo - I was with BeFlatLine (Faeria, I think, on CAG).

Damn, I hate that 420 in there (since that is totally not me ;)).  That was from my old Raid clan, who made noise about coming back for this DLC but then it seems they've all moved on.  I need a new clan.  I guess I could go back to the CAGCast one.

Later I'll download another screen shot I made of IB trolling me on the reward screen.  It is quite funny.

I hit 366 so I am trucking along. Having bad luck with the Hunter's Mongrels gauntlets. I keep farming them with my Skeleton keys and getting lame rolls, I want increased primary reload (AR or Pulse ideally) but all I have are fusion and sniper reloads. Womp. I REALLY want those new Hunter Exotic legs.

Played quite a bit of IB and have gotten at least 15 of the dang AR... I see a few of my friends have the Pulse rifle and man does that look nice. Low impact so like the Grasp of Malok. I would love the Pulse, Rocket or Sparrow but all I keep getting is a poop ton of ARs and Shotguns.

FYI the Pulse is not going to drop from a match. All you will see for weapons are the 2 you've gotten. You can only get the Pulse (or Scout or Sniper, etc) from the 2 weapon bounties or the quest rewards (rank 3 or 5) from Efrideet. That's why it is ridiculous I've gotten 3 of the stupid fusion rifle that way. The alternate class items do drop though. I got a Mantle of Gheleon the other day.

But yeah, you reminded me I have other things to farm for too. I've gotten the 2 emblems but not the shader, sparrow, or ghost.

Wish I would have checked the crucible vendor bounty this week. I never check those and this week it's tied to Supremacy matches.

Yep. But annoyingly IB wins don't seem to count towards the record book Supremacy Match wins (where you need 10). Well, they definitely don't since mine is still at 5 and I know I've won more IB matches than that not to mention Supremacy games I did before IB.

I'm trying to get that ship from the record book and I mostly have busy work to do. I need 10 more regular SIVA strikes, all 10 of the hard story missions, 5 supremacy wins (not in IB, apparently), and some Raid cleanup (I need to grab charges and chuck bombs). Oh yeah and a Trials ticket completed.

If we do a CAG Raid we should do what we did before and just do the charges/bombs in the beginning until we get enough for the book. I guess miss the boss with the bombs or something (unless only hits count) ;).

I know i have done a ton of the LL 350 strikes and have all the Iron Lord artifacts but I dont have credit for them in the book. Is there a glitch or something with those?

At what point should I start decrypting my saved up exotic engrams that I have saved up? I am at a soft 375 right now and I have seven weapons ones (2 secondaries 5 heavies) and seven armors.

Look at the individual light of the item equipped and your total light level. If the equipped piece has a lower light #, when compared to your total light, then go ahead and decrypt one engram for that piece.

For example, your highest heavy is 373, but as you said your total light is 375... decrypt one heavy engram. This should guarantee you and higher light heavy weapon.

But, keep in mind the hard raid mode is right around the corner, so if you want to, hold off until the max light level gets unleashed.

 
Bumped up to 385 now.  About time to get a raid clear in so I can start up the outbreak prime quest.  Seems like every lfg group I find all talk a big game but cannot get it done.  I did fall in with a good group last night and destiny servers kicked us to all into orbit at the zamboni wiping our monitor progress.  It was late at that point and everyone called it a night.  

Once you hit 385 are you no longer guaranteed to get higher LL gear from rank up packages and drops or are they just less likely to drop higher?

I think the likelihood is low, but still possible. I got a 386 artifact from a match's Activity Rewards and the IB scout rifle at 386 from completing the Rank 5 quest. But I ranked up with Vanguard and Crucible and Dead Orbit and I think the best I got was 385.

The best chance is probably exotic engrams, I've gotten a few 387's from them.
 
I hit 371 LL recently . . . but my work schedule is making raiding nearly impossible.  Sigh.

Trials of Osiris tonight I'm hoping.  If not that, then some Iron Banner.

 
Sadly I'm out of town until tomorrow sometime, but when I get back I'm going to try to squeeze more gear out of IB. :)

I've gotten so many 384's now that I'm 386 that it is rage-inducing. Pretty much the only way to go much beyond 386 is via the Nightfall. I got 388 and 389 weapons this week (and 19 strange coins the third time). So make sure you run those at least.

I will be on later and have three toons now that are Raid ready at like 369. I know LinkinPrime will likely be on later too and be down to Raid, I think he is still stuck at 360 though.

So stupid question time.

When you are doing the opening parts of the Outbreak Prime quest I understand you need to be in a Warlock, Hunter, and Titan fireteam but do the other members of your team also to be on the quest to get credit towards the progress of your quest?

I got suros regime, patience and time, hawk moon, raid helmet, raid chest, raid ghost, raid shotgun, raid fusion rifle, raid rocket launcher,and raid scout rifle. Used a key on every chest. Was an awesome raid with my fellow CAGs. Oh and for the server farm area, got a MIDA 😁

I'm not sure about all of it, but there are parts where you have to enter codes at the same time in your inventory. I'm pretty sure for those parts you do. Fortunately, anyone who has completed the quest can buy a couple of the intermediate parts from Shiro and do them with you. I've completed it on my Titan and have the quest on my Hunter.

I would like to. I was supposed to run it with someone the other night and I bought a card and spent the passage coins on it and then he couldn't find a third so we never ran it. I'd like to give that a shot.

I also want to get my Warlock through the Raid, or at least the first few parts, if anyone wants to run it again tonight.

Zero got more loot than I have beating the Raid 4+ times, at least in terms of variety (as I've never gotten the helmet). For me the armor drops have been worse than the notoriously stingy Vault of Glass which is especially frustrating since you can use keys to get double chances on each drop.

Nightfall isn't too bad - Undying Mind (the giant Vex hydra one) with no burn again.  Heroic has solar.

I got a 387 Thunderlord out of the Nightfall which I put into my Raze Lighter.  Will be looking to do the other 2 as well as at least one Raid tonight.

I didn't realize Trials dropped the older Trials gear during losses, and at decent light too.  We couldn't finish the bounty because Destiny and/or Xbox kept dropping people from our team, but I did get a 387 gauntlet drop.   Since I already had those from before, I put them into something else.  I'll have to keep trying it now that I see stuff like that drop.  Faction packages (Vanguard, Crucible, New Monarchy, Gunsmith) have been giving me 384-385 stuff.  Same with the Raid (almost everything I got from that this week was 384).  Who would think Trials losses would give better gear?  Shaking my head Bungie.  I hate to go through that pain for it, but it seems worth it.  Plus I can get a complete set of the old gear that way since I missed out on most of it.

I'm up for doing Trials each day it is active, though I can only do Fri/Sat this weekend.  We should put together some CAG groups to run it for sure though.  It would be nice to get the bounties done at the same time, and perhaps even hit 5 wins for the armor drop.  We ran into some super-sweaty teams in the early rounds late Monday night, but I suppose that is to be expected.  Need to try to play during the day more.
