Does anyone have the Square Enix customer support phone number for the US store handy?  The website doesn't have a phone number, only an email request form which apparently no one responds to as I've tried 3 times since Saturday to get a response and update on the status of my DQH CE order.  The only phone number I was able to find online was one that appears to be a support line for their online games.  Is Digital River (those fucktards) responsible for the web store?  If so I guess I'm screwed.  Would rather not have to do a charge back but they are not making it easy to contact them and find out what is going on with my order.

Supposedly, they just issued me a refund for my DQ Heroes CE that I refused at the door from UPS. Obviously, I will need to wait a few days to see if they are full of shit or not, but they had the package for over a week and been a bitch about returning my money. The only person who identified herself through E-mail was 'Angel' who has been mostly unhelpful and idiotic.

Officially only 20k made. Just a few more than Symphonia HD and looks like it may be as hard to find at retail w/o going to 3rd party vendors on AZ/EBay. Kinda funny how Xillia 2 CE demand was so low it ended up on Groupon but I guess with a jump to new console the demand is there for this one.

And yeah, I remember that 7-11 event. I think I sold a few of those for quite a bit, and it was the main one I wore as well. (People asked me a ton where did I get it)

 
Everyone who ordered Zestiria early from Bestbuy don't forget to check your orders to make sure you weren't charged shipping.   I was charged on both my orders.(One was for a friend.)  Even though I was both Elite Plus and its well over the threshold for free shipping.

343 already confirmed even the fotus armor is unlockable. So you're an idiot if you pay for the DLC. I think the only true exclusive item is the emblem. Everything else is unlockable in-game.

I told my nephew about the 9GB mandatory day one patch for Halo 5 and he nearly cried.  After the whole mess last christmas with the various online services being under fire and the stupid MCC installation ruining what was supposed to be a fun christmas gift he is not enjoying the new generation.  The poor kid is 15 years old and has major muscle issues so gaming is one of his favorite things.  Since he lives a whopping 1 mile out of range of any decent cable or internet provider he has to loan me his consoles now so I can do all of the stupid downloading for him.  I miss last generation so much, the new age of gaming is just sad.  Downloads should be relegated to small patches and digital and if a company is going to add so much extra crap they should really not ship the game until a second disc or more is added to retail copies for the customers who can't get decent internet >_>

In other news, Gamestop.com has Zestiria CEs available still!  It is most definitely limited to 20k copies and this is honestly the best CE I have seen in years.  I'm also wondering if I should cancel my FO4 CE as well.  The only reason I locked one in is because I sort of plan on cosplaying something from the series and a fully functional pip-boy already built to hold a phone would be a great help.

 
Is the new age of gaming sad, or is the state of media transfer sad? Here's 343, making a massive game that a dual-layer Blu-Ray disc can't hold, and so they have to push an update. Doesn't seem like it should be made to sound like the generation is bad because of updates, simply because some people don't have quality Internet access. Still, holding back gaming progress because a cable company sucks and making people deal with inferior quality as a result isn't a good solution, IMO.

I believe ALL of the Halo4 armor became available iirc -- the GOTY edition or whatever they released included not only preorder armor, but also the "exclusive" Collector's Edition DLC as well, didn't it? Was pretty infuriating for those who like to have something "special" and "limited" from their "limited" edition game but at the end of the day its just a digital costume, not something I'd personally go to arms about.

Here is the thing in the past they would have just shipped multiple discs and even now many things come on multiple discs and it would be easy to toss in a download disc. All this is is they either A.) Rushed the game and are still finishing up after the discs have already printed, or B.) they did it to save a buck on the discs/extra plastic. In my opinion it's probably both I have it preordered, but I fully expect it to be another piss poor launch I'm just hoping the Campaign is stable enough to get through and has a half decent story I'm also hoping it clocks in at at least over 6 hours would really be pissed if they pulled a CoD.

it's going to be sad when this console gets abandoned a decade or so down the road and 50+% of the games will be horribly broken or unplayable due to the patch servers being gone. Might as well all be digital the way it is. Hell there are even plenty of 360/PS3 games that are already in the same boat once the patch servers go down new players might as well avoid them. The only company that doesn't seem to be riding the patch boat nice and hard is Nintendo, but then again I'm not sure what shape they are in with Wii U titles.

The massive patches have nothing to do with not enough space on blurays, the game is pressed on disc weeks or months before release and the studio is still scrambling to fix thousands of bugs in between press time and release date.  To be fair these are massively complicated projects with millions of lines of code and thousands of people working on them, its no longer really the days of a small 10 person team making a game that fits on a single CD.  Also you can still play the SP campaign without the patches, just go offline and play the game.

If people had to choose between a game going gold 3 months before release and the current model, they'd obviously choose the former.  But then if you told them the game would be stripped of 50% of the features to do that, they would probably change their mind.

I guess there could be something that sells patch DVDs for $5 or whatever but it creates a lot of complications and customer confusion.

You're also nuts if you think pip boys are gonna clearance out at $50, with most CEs I would totally agree with that but the fact is Fallout and Elder Scrolls is massive and these get snapped up fast.  Now, I do think third parties will make BETTER pip boys that are cooler but also pricier, might be a better option for some.

Yeah, I saw this half an hour ago. You're probably right about it being severely discounted later, but I just want to get a pipboy on my arm ASAP, even if it is cheap plastic trash, it looks a lot better than what I could make. A lot of people on my campus missed out, so hopefully some of them have taken notice of this.

The prices on ebay are plummeting. I think these are just cancelled orders of people who thought they were going to make bank reselling it. There will be a ton of them available at launch but this will not make it to clearance.

it's going to be sad when this console gets abandoned a decade or so down the road and 50+% of the games will be horribly broken or unplayable due to the patch servers being gone. Might as well all be digital the way it is. Hell there are even plenty of 360/PS3 games that are already in the same boat once the patch servers go down new players might as well avoid them. The only company that doesn't seem to be riding the patch boat nice and hard is Nintendo, but then again I'm not sure what shape they are in with Wii U titles.

Nintendo is not much better at this point. Earlier this year, the Wifi went out on my Wii U, and I was unable to boot up my Mario Kart 8 disc without the latest console update. All my son wanted to play was a single player offline race, but my Wii U was essentially a brick with lights and a fan until I got that wifi fixed.

Do you remember the time when AOL would send you all those stupid CDs of their browser and M$ would give you the option to have Service Packs mailed to you on disc (might still be an option, idk)? Those were the days...

I'd love the devs to be able to send out discs with the patches but with rising shipping rates and unknown overhead on processes and supply chains, I'm not sure how management would like the bottom line getting spiked like that. I mean we never can see all that internal financial gore that goes on inside the companies. That said, given pressure to do something I'm sure there's a way no one's figured out yet to solve the problem while still turning profits and keeping costs low.

Sorry I'm talking like a corporate dude...Still it affects the way these games come out.

Lol apparently someone on here can't understand the basic concept of people canceling orders, therefore Bethesda has to put them back up. Btw my offer still stands Gentlyporking, should be an easy $50 for you so you can get that clearanced Pipboy for free in 6 to 9 months. :)

Generally, yes, and bug fixes are probably part of the Halo 5 patch. However, The game is also 60 GB, where as dual-layer Blu-Ray maxes out at 50 GB. IDK if they do any compression with the discs, so they could actually be running out of space, in the Halo instance. TMCC and H5 are the only games I have seen pass 50 GB in size though.
