The outsourced Amazon Indian reps seem to not understand any of the promo dlc for pre-orders. They ALWAYS assume you are talking about the prime discount. It is like they don't understand what a pre-order downloadable content is :face palm:

Square Enix announced they will be adding 10,000 more FF XV Ultimate Collector's Editions, But in Japan Only. Pretty sure that's gonna piss off some people.

Edit: nevermind 10k is worldwide. I'm guessing that means like 3k more in North America.

If you did chat, try e-mail.
I sent an e-mail directed marking that an item was Missing from my order (dropdown menu). Maybe different reps/departments handle requests based on the dropdown menu?

I just said that there was DLC that was supposed to have come with the game. I've received the DLC, but not game, and requested for them to send the DLC.

An Amazon rep wrote back in an hour and refunded me the entire order.

So no code, but no cost!

yes I skipped to wave 4 even though the 2nd wave hasn't happened yet :p Square Enix wants to make money, they can easily just take orders now and make them post release date.

 
Also seems kind of stupid not to just make 20,000 more and have it at 50k worldwide. That's a nice round number at least and clearly demand is stupid high...

There were tons of people that got their order thru on 3/30, but SE oversold, so those people got put on a priority waiting list. They got an email and their order shows up on the order history on their account as waitlisted.

Ah, I see. I was working and missed the entire preorder window and signed up for the wait list pretty much the day after it sold out so I didn't know if it was referring to people who just missed it but I do recall hearing about people getting screwed so it's nice SE will take care of them first

I hate how Gamestop still charges for shipping on expensive things...PO'd on there to be safe, gonna cancel if I can secure an Amazon order. Wondering why this is at GameStop and Amazon only and not at Best Buy.

 
How long does it take BB reward certs to show back up in your account after canceling an order? I cancelled the UC4 CE yesterday morning so I can reorder for the coin but haven't seen the certs I used come back yet.
 
Yay! Happy they made more; hopefully they make another 100k so everyone can get one. I want this as a final fantasy fan / collector, not to make money off of.
 
Square Enix might as well give bestbuy shipments of the FF15 UCE so I can get my gcu discount since they are going to make them common as fuck now

I'm sorry but I don't feel sorry for those idiots one bit. Its fine if you want something so badly that you'll be willing to overpay, but there's absolutely no reason to buy it now instead of waiting till closer to release. By then, you'll know for sure that the conventional way of securing one is gone and you'll also know for sure the seller on ebay actually has one.
 
Worried about the paint job on the seccond batch of figures. Don't get me wrong, play arts are great quality but it sounds like it's going to be a rush job.

They said this 2nd batch of 10k will not be ready by release day 9/30. So they'll probably still make sure the quality is on par.
 
Glad but don't want to cancel my Xbox One pre-order in hopes that I can get the PS4 version or order the PS4 and hope that 1 per customer doesn't apply to two different versions. It probably does though.

Maybe that's the Japan ones. Their Twitter said there might be a chance it will be delayed but they will do their best to make sure it's not.

I'm pretty sure if you got an order in first time around, you will not be allowed to order anymore in the future. Furthermore additional 10k is still very limited. I'm assuming they allocated 3k to 4k for NA (possibly even less since somone posted another site that most of these new 10k batch will be allocated to Japan and Australia since they got screwed over the first time around). I'm pretty sure there are more than that many people on the waitlist.

Apparently a heads-up notification and a 30minute sellout is no longer considered a success these days. This whole situation is corporate greed and that's all there is to it.

I've imported a few games from the UK. One I know for sure had a dlc code was Heavy Rain. I created an account on the same ps3 (I forget if it was UK, or just generically EU), and I didnt have any trouble redeeming and downloading.

With a multiplayer game, I'm assuming the process would be the same, but I guess you would have to be signed in to that UK PSN id to be able to access and use the skins or whatnot?

I think you guys are overreacting a bit. In all fairness to SE, they did receive complaints from tons of crybabies for the UCE. I was monitoring this throughout the Web and the amount of complaining was unprecedented. There was even a change.org petition created for christ sakes. It pretty much forced them to have to do something. Plus additional 10k isn't really that much if you look at the big picture. That's 40k total for a game SE is hoping to sell 10 million copies in its lifespan, itll probably sell at least 5 to 6 million just fron interested fanbase alone. So 40k really is still very miniscule. Btw The Call of Duty Juggernog Editions had about 40k units produced as well and that was considered one of the rarest CEs in the past few years. And the Juggernog was allocated to the North American market only, not worldwide.

Now the whole argument of "They will not make more because of PR backlash/manufacturing logistics" VS. "They will make more because they are greedy bastards" can finally be put to rest. The latter side wins.

Wrong. This is a premium priced CE where SquareEnix was concerned it might not sell, yet wanted to sell all of its units themselves. Hence the '30,000 units produced' bulletpoint. People jumped to buy this because of its limited nature. This sentence made all the difference in the world. Simply eliminating that one sentence would have caused this item to sell a fraction of what it originally sold and sit stagnant on the official store. The other proof that SE was concerned about this item not selling out was that they didn't limit sales to one per customer: the universal standard for regulating limited distribution. All this is, is reactionary backpedaling after the fact.

SE ain't your friends. They wanted to sell a $270 CE to as many people as possible and are now using fan backlash as a scapegoat in order to sell more. In fact, they could be making 80k units of this UE and all of you would be none the wiser.

All publicity is good publicity.

People that missed out and are simply just happy that they are making more? I get that. That's fair. However, we're discussing other perspectives here, such as SE doing everything they can do maximize their sales and exposure. The one absolute is that they have been disingenuous about the limited nature of this product.
