[SIZE=+1]Three important notes[/SIZE] (please read these before posting questions):

[SIZE=+1]1)[/SIZE] Most of the prices listed below will not be shown on the games at any given Kmart. Chances are if you can find them they will ring up at one of the clearance prices listed. The best way to check it is to bring a UPC sheet with you and use the floor scanners to verify the pricing before you ask the Kmart associate to open the case.

[SIZE=+1]2)[/SIZE] Kmart price drops are generally national in scope. However, each store must process the price drops individually. While the price drops originate from corporate, different stores have wildly different ways of dealing with them. Some will implement them immediately, some weeks later, and some, it seems, never. Also, there are occasional glitches in the pricing where a game that is otherwise on clearance will ring up at full price at certain stores.

OK, on to the prices...

The wonderful thing about Kmart is that they combine dirt-cheap clearance pricing with a general lack of organization. Thus CAGs in the know, hopefully using info from this thread, can find some amazing deals.

First off, here's the UPC database list as created by Slash and updated by MightySlacker: chttp://kmart.slashbunny.com/. Use this to verify pricing in your local Kmart.

The prices are organized alphabetically and by system (thanks again to ShiningSlade for starting it off this way).

Since the exact pricing is so YMMV, and many games ring up at 2 or 3 different clearance prices I will list all of these separated by slashes, with the cheapest first. For example: Psychonauts $3/$14/$24. I am also adding a bit to the color coding - see below:

Trip wasn't completely wasted as the pink controller i returned a while resurfaced, so i grabbed that for $37. I don't know whats up with the price on that at this Kmart - but ill try to pull off a return/rebuy at a store with the right price for it.
 
Went to look for a Vision cam bundle today. The electronics dude that I've befriended told me they had 5 on the bottom shelf of the glass case a couple weeks ago, and some guy came it and bought all 5 at once!
 
Went today, and picked up the following:

GC: Viewtiful Joe Red Hot Rumble $1.25
PS2: Dragonball Z Budokai 2 $1.50
Xbox: From Russia With Love $1.00
Xbox: Lord of the Rings: Third Age $1.50

The employee there was actually trying to get me to buy more of these clearance games. From Russia With Love was priced at 7.99, like the thread said, but when he rung it up, he just shrugged and said he'd give it to me for a dollar. Overall, not a bad trip.
 
While running errands for my new job in the SLC area, I managed to stop by the Kmart on Bangerter and 5400 S and found they had no clearance games.

The one on S. Redwood had Untold Legends, two 07 baseball games, and Madden 07, all for the PS3. There was a small number of other system clearance, but nothing really worth reporting.
 
BTW, the Live Vision camera does NOT work on Vista. Repeat: DOES NOT WORK! It works fine on WinXP, but apparently M$ was too busy to make drivers for Vista. Losers.

Did you notice if any of them had the HD-DVD drive? Have you been by the Bountiful store? I was right by there on Saturday but wife wouldn't let me stop by. Oh well last time they didn't have much. The Layton store had pretty much nothing last week as far as games go. I did pick up a PS2 slim multi-tap for $3 but that was about it. I bought two so I have a spare one if anyone is interested....

The Kmarts in my area had plenty of 360 64MB memory cards and a few PS2 multitap a week or two ago (before the drop). Now they were all gone. Oh well.

oh man didn't realize that there were so many Utah CAGs, when i was in school (home for the summer) out there i seriously thought that there were like 3-4 other CAGs max in the state

Purkeynator, the Bountiful store has no HDDVD drives or many clearance games. Last time I went to the Kmart in Vernal they had an HDDVD drive, but I doubt you want to drive 3 1/2 hours to get it.

Finally found Untold Legends for $5 at Kmart in a small town about 20 miles away (I'm in Jax, FL). Pretty much everything else I find around here for $5 is the 07 sports games...oh well, I'll keep buying and trading them, I still have 2 more Kmarts to hit and then maybe some more in little towns 20-30 mins away to find some of the other games.

I was in Kmart today and the Persona 3's here are still ringing up as 49.99.
 
Found a Untold Legends at my local Kmart but it rang up at $10 instead of the $5 many others have found it at. I think theres a bunch of new kids working this summer, the games in the glass have become very unorganized, and the cashier had no idea what SD compatable on a camera meant -_-

Sadly, no. I don't have a 360, but I've been checking the 360 accessories for other CAGs. The store on S Redwood did have one of the memory cards, but that was it.

I was actually planning on hitting up both Bountiful and Layton on my way home to Logan on Friday, so you'll have to tell me if you make it to the Bountiful store between then and now.

Saw these at Kmart today, all of these were marked as 20 dollars, and rang up as 20 dollars. Something to keep in mind for future drops, though.

I got Kirby Squeak Squad because it is getting kinda rare, and they only had one copy but the others I will wait for more of a drop. Silpheed and Starfox can be gotten for less at circuit city.

I can give you an idea of what is at the Layton store. I went there today looking for those $5 RCA camcorders (of course they had none, only the Sony for $105). Off the top of my head they had:

Nights for Wii $20
Smackdown vs Raw 2007 360 $10 (Marked up? it was $5 last week)
Viewtiful Joe PS2 $7 (marked up? I got a copy for $1 a few weeks back)
Zune skins for $2 (for the 30GB)
Automated Game DR machines for $20
CD wallet/ discman holders for $10
a bunch of blank dvd and cds for crappy prices
Final Fantasy VI GBA (still $30)
Sonic for PS3 $20
a few sports titles nothing exciting
an XM boombox for the Roady XT for $80
Zune clear cases for the 30GB ($5? can't remember)
USB jump drive cases $3? or somewhere around there
they used to have one of the dot hack games (3rd one I think) but I didn't see it this trip, maybe gone?
They had two PS3 memory card adapters for $3 last week but now are gone
They had two PS2 slim multitaps last week for $3. I got one if anyone wants it let me know.

Really they don't have much there interesting. None of the 360 accessories that others were reporting on clearance. I will post some more if I can think of it.

Its nice to hear from some other Utah Cags. Do you guys shop at Graywhale? I love that store. I cried when they shut down the Layton store and moved to Bountiful. At least I got the one on Riverdale road.

If you guys are in the Layton area you may want to stop by Toys R Us. They had some pretty good clearance games in the dump bin up front.

Thanks for the heads up. The Logan Kmart has at least 6 copies of FFVI Advance, but yup, still $30.

Graywhale was an awesome store, but alas, the Logan location closed up a year or two ago.

EDIT: Where's the TRU location in Layton? I used to go to the one on Riverdale, but of course it's gone now too. Coincidentally, I have never found a decent clearance game at the Target in Riverdale. CC has always been hit and miss.
 
I just went to the Bountiful Graywhale today! I traded in my extra copies of Metal Gear Solid 1 and Final Fantasy VII for $22 and $49. Graywhale is my favorite store ever.

Its over across from the Target store in Layton. It is right next to Barnes and Noble. Take the Antelope Drive exit off I-15 and head east and you will see the Target on the right side of the road. They had some pretty good stuff there this afternoon. I picked up Syphon Filter Logans Shadow for $10, Capcom Puzzle Collection for $5, Jam Sessions for $5, and Gangs of London for $5 all today. Check the Toys R Us thread on the last couple pages for more. I also stopped at that Target today and checked their clearance today as well. They didn't have much, mostly last gen stuff and sports titles that were old. They did have a few copies of Beavis and Butthead on PSP for $7.50 and a few random guides for $4.
 
lol so many utah cagers I'm sure there more than us that posted in here but prolly just deal hunters to resell. Anyway i Got to talk to a really cool Electronic Manager today at the 9000s Kmart and according to him most of the clearance accesorries was bought buy kmart employees. He said he used to have 2 hd dvd players there and it was gone as soon as it marked down to 12$.

Anyone have the UPC for the $5 RCA camcorders, so I can have the service desk people at one of my Kmarts check other stores in the district to see if ANY of them have any in stock and for what price? I ask because the managers who helped me get the 3 HD-DVD drives said if I had anymore UPCs to bring them in and they'd search the district for them.

You know...I just realized that my Kmart has one of those camcorders in stock...and on display too. But, its open box and theres a clearence sticker of $60. Not sure if there's a UPC attactched to it though, even if the price scanner does in fact show $5, my only worry is that they'll just manually enter the $60 price since I dont see a box with it. Well, I guess I'll try a price scanning and if it does come up at $5, ask for the camera ;)
 
Wishing I'd picked up another HD-DVD drive while I had the chance (did manage to get 2). I tend to buy a lot of CDs and underestimated just how convenient it would be to be able to rip MP3's from 3+ cds at once.

I've been to approximately 4 local and not-so-local K-Marts, found clearance stuff INCLUDING 06 SPORT TITLES and the games rang up "Price Required". On all four occasions, I've had them say they can't sell me the games and that they would return them to the manufacturer for credit. On the last occasion, the lady walked over to the case, grabbed DMC4, scanned it (rang up $59.99), and said, "I'll sell you each of those games for 50% off, or $29.99." I laughed at her, told her that she was trying to sell a $2 for $30, and walked out, not offering to put the 30+ games that I had them price check back in the case (like I do normally). WTF. Tiger Woods 06 for $30- not in this lifetime. Ignorant K-Mart employees...

Even if you don't get an employee who knows how to check the last price in the system, that's still no reason to be an asshat to them. Hell, when they tell me just the sticker price for a game coming up 'check shelf label', I simply ask if I could take the game(s) to the front desk and ask for a manager to look up the price for me. If the manager then says they can't sell it or they mention a price that's maybe retail or alot more than the lowest price in the system, I'll politely tell them no thanks and offer to take the game back to electronics. It's called common courtesy, where if you're nice to them, they may be inclined to be nice back. But, if you're a devil customer(like I have been at many times I'll admit)and just want stuff for what you want it for and are rude to the cashiers, then you're more likely to not be helped the next time you want it.

Of course, in the case of some games, some of them may have dropped out at around $10 and NOT $5 or lower like prior series of clearance games. GUN for the original XBox was one such game, which was part of a bunch of games which ended up 'frozen' on the clearance schedule and didn't drop for months. Many of them just dropped out without going to 90% off.
 
Well as usual Eugaet, Kmart clearances are definitely YMMV, but some WERE getting them or saw them for $5 each.

I'm off to find out if any of my local stores have any today.

I didn't ask what price it was ringing up as, though I should have. I'll have to check the other location after work. I'm kinda waiting to see if the EZ-105 price takes any more drops.
