Be aware that not all Sears are alike, so prices are definitely YMMV.
List
  • date = date posted or updated
  • cp = current price
  • opp = old posted price
  • (oos) = out of system
  • * = posted at different prices (more than twice, most are)
Colors
  • white = current update
  • dark gray = old (ie. out of stock items)
if the prices are not updated in over a month, it will be colored as dark gray.

notes:
  • Don't turn this into your own trade list. Don't ask people if they want to trade X game for your Y game. PM is the best way to ask. Do your trading on the Sears Trade Thread.
  • Print UPC-A barcodes if you're having a hard time getting someone to open the cases for you. If you need UPCs refer to Half.com (just type the name of the game) or to io's kmart clearance thread. Go to either UPCDatabase.com or Barcodesinc.com to generate a UPC A barcode.
  • If you bring up a game and the employee scans it and does not show up in the system, it is most likely that the item has been pulled out of their inventory (most of us would call it 'out of system'). What this means is that the item must be returned to the manufacturer (so they were told anyways, but i don't believe it..). You can try to get them to sell it to you for the stickered price shown or maybe lower. It depends on the employee or manager.
  • Some of you are confused as to why some games are priced and rung up at retail prices but its listed below as clearanced at their respective clearance prices. Heres a good example:
    • 100607 ... 01.97 ... 09.97 ... Dead or Alive 4 (Non PH) *
    • ^^^^^ notice how the last reported price was October 6, 2007. The Platinum Hits version was also on clearance since it shared the Regular version's barcode. But they put the price back up in retail a few months later. Hence you still see the game now as retail instead of clearance.

Dynasty Warriors: Gundam for the 360 is also on clearance. I saw it at a further away Sears last week for $39.97 on clearance.

Wasn't Lair REALLY horrible though? Although any game is worth a shot at under $10. If my Sears is like it is usually though, Lair will still ring up $59.99 or whatever the original MSRP was. I swear, all the people in electronics there do is stand around and bullshit all day.

I believe there is a patch so you can use analog stick instead of sixaxis to fly the dragon.

A ton of the generic UPC games are coming down in price too

Generic DS UPC (Lunar, Tomb Raider Legend, Zoo Keeper, Ford Racing 3, etc) - $4.97
Xbox M Rated UPC - (Evil Dead, Breakdown, Cold Fear) - $1.97

Lair scanned $7.97 for me but was OOS.

It was a horrible system, they keep all the PS3 and Wii games locked in a tiny glass case on the floor. Problem is you can't see what they have and the worker basically had to take every single game out of the case to get to the back row to check the entire stock. I did pick up Zoo Keeper for $4.97 though. I have wanted it for a while but didn't want to pay more than $5 for it.

Yeah, I got my share of odd looks using the scanner in the applicances(?) as well

All I ever got was Burnout Revenge for about $4. My Sears are usually pretty dead.
 
i hate how prices seem to be YMMV again. I tried 2 more Sears, Lair was $19.97 at one and $59.99 at the other. The Sixaxis scanned for $39.97 which isn't enough of a discount.
 
I went to Sears earlier today and scanned the following.

Lair: $ 19.97
Tiger Wood 07: $ 29.99 (OP - $ 4.97)
X360 Faceplate (Viva Pinata, Wood, and Fiber - $ 9.99 (before 50%)

I also saw a bunch of GBA games for 6.97, the price is too high but I will wait for these to drop and then maybe get something if there is anything left. That one UPC is like 6.97 now it hasn't dropped further. The tags were marked OCT too so I know they were just priced recently.

There were some DS games but they all looked crap.
 
Those GBA games have been $3.97 at a Sears in my area since the Spring. They have May stickers on them and it still scans for $3.97. Nothing but junk left anyway
 
I for one never understood all the hate for the controlls in lair. I had no problem beating it with the original controls. And graphically it's awesome. 7.1 sound is also excellent.

I agree about the controls. They weren't always fantastic, but they were just fine to get through the game without frustrations. Graphically, I felt the game varied from time to time, either really good or subpar. The gameplay itself is what I felt was lacking..the game just wasn't very fun after I got past the fact that I was flying on a dragon. :D

I also agree on the sound too. Amazing score.

Lair is marked $24.99. I asked for a scan, and the clerk replied "It's $24.99" without evening taking the game out of the case. I asked her to scan it, and after she did, she told me "Twenty." I don't know if that means "19.99" or something else.

My Sears is the slowest for dropping the clearance prices.:roll:
 
I just picked up Scene It for the 360 at the Sears in Towne West mall in Wichita, KS. It was marked $24.99 but rang up as $18.99. Not sure if this is storwide, but for those looking to pick it up, it's an even better deal.

When I scanned Lair it was $19.97 and some other people also reported that so its probably the same to you... hopefully the copies my store has sit around a little longer and drop more because it will be a prime target for a Xmas gift for my brother
 
Found Breakdown (Xbox) for 97 cents at the Moorestown, NJ store, which is the lowest price for a brand new game I've seen since...well, ever. Also saw Lair (PS3) and Full Auto 2 (PS3) for ~$19 each.
 
It looks like my Sears recently tagged all of their games. But only a handful were clearanced. One of the PS2 Jampacks was $1.97, as was Future Tactics on the PS2. Lair was $19.97. Death By Degrees was $5.97.

Went to Sears yesterday (11-10-08) and found some stuff marked down with NOV clearance tags highlights that I can recall.

The Legend of Zelda Twilight Princess (GC) - 19.97
Mercury Meltdown Revolution (Wii) - 4.97
.hack//G.U. Vol.3:Redemption (PS2) - .97
Donkey Kong Barrel Blast (Wii) - 9.97
Picross (NDS) - 9.97

.hack being so cheap surprised the hell out of me since last clearance tag was 17.97 IIRC and was from OCT I think so it was rather odd seeing it drop from that to under a buck and even more so that it was tagged correctly and didn't get bought by an employee. I'm guessing that it will be a big YMMV on finding it that cheap, easily the cheapest game I've ever gotten at Sears and before this 4.97 being the cheapest. I would have liked getting Zelda Cheaper but I've wanted it and this is the last new copy in my area (and the cheapest I've ever seen it B&M) and I figured the price on .hack evened things out overall :)

I also saw a few other games that dropped some but nothing crazy, two I remember being DQM:J & Metroid Prime Hunters which were both 19.97 IIRC. Other games didn't drop like Lair which was still 19.97 from it's OCT price.

It might just be my store that's like this but it is loaded with a decent amount of last gen games around $5 give or take a few bucks. Some (original) Xbox games for $2-3 and some decent GameCube games I would have grabbed at $5 if I didn't own them (Super Monkey Ball, Shadow The Hedgehog, Sonic Heroes) I can't remember if these games were NOV or OCT drops but I'm guessing they dropped in OCT.
 
Mercury must be YMMV. It has been full price at both Sears I checked. Awesome price on .hack. I'll also keep an eye out for Picross, if it drops to under $5, I'll get it.
 
I also picked up .hack at that price as well as Spiderman FoF (360) for $5, and the Mercury Meltdown for $5, Grabbed by the Ghoulies .97, and THUG XB .97

Well when I got breakdown for $.97 it was one of those holiday games so it had the generic barcode over the real one it was similar to that C28 barcode thing like Kmarts had that were selling games for a buck.
 
went back to sears cuz someone mentioned eternal sonata here...and hell yea...i found one in the clearance bin for 19.97...but i took it home for free!! yes FREE! the cashier asked me if i would like 35 bucks back for signing up for their credit card. I get 15 bucks upfront and 20 in the mail. i paid the 6 bucks today, but in the end, its a free copy. just thought everyone should know, if you dont have a sears card yet.

they were in the electronics section. at the end caps with all other clearance stuff, like the 360 wireless head sets, and a bunch of cheap DS cases, and cheap ass ink cartridges. hope that helps.

incredible find on .hack 3. i have yet to find a game for a buck at sears after all these cheap ass gaming years.. the cheapest i picked up would be $1.97 for Star Trek conquest.

Mercury Meltdown was $14.99, not on clearance
Picross was $19.99, not on clearance
Grabbed By The Ghoulies is $9.97 (OOS)
.Hack was $9.97 (OOS)

I hate this YMMV pricing and miss the old consistent pricing

It's like that at my Sears too. The only one I got results from was one a few cities down.
