Be aware that not all Sears are alike, so prices are definitely YMMV.
List
  • date = date posted or updated
  • cp = current price
  • opp = old posted price
  • (oos) = out of system
  • * = posted at different prices (more than twice, most are)
Colors
  • white = current update
  • dark gray = old (ie. out of stock items)
if the prices are not updated in over a month, it will be colored as dark gray.

notes:
  • Don't turn this into your own trade list. Don't ask people if they want to trade X game for your Y game. PM is the best way to ask. Do your trading on the Sears Trade Thread.
  • Print UPC-A barcodes if you're having a hard time getting someone to open the cases for you. If you need UPCs refer to Half.com (just type the name of the game) or to io's kmart clearance thread. Go to either UPCDatabase.com or Barcodesinc.com to generate a UPC A barcode.
  • If you bring up a game and the employee scans it and does not show up in the system, it is most likely that the item has been pulled out of their inventory (most of us would call it 'out of system'). What this means is that the item must be returned to the manufacturer (so they were told anyways, but i don't believe it..). You can try to get them to sell it to you for the stickered price shown or maybe lower. It depends on the employee or manager.
  • Some of you are confused as to why some games are priced and rung up at retail prices but its listed below as clearanced at their respective clearance prices. Heres a good example:
    • 100607 ... 01.97 ... 09.97 ... Dead or Alive 4 (Non PH) *
    • ^^^^^ notice how the last reported price was October 6, 2007. The Platinum Hits version was also on clearance since it shared the Regular version's barcode. But they put the price back up in retail a few months later. Hence you still see the game now as retail instead of clearance.

I think you've got a slow store. I bought Lair and Warhawk (w/ headset) for those prices a little over a month ago.

I don't think my store ever stocked DS Picross. My boyfriend was just asking for a new puzzle game, and that would have fit the bill. If anyone sees one of those at $4.97, and would be so kind, grab it for me, and we can arrange a trade or PayPal transaction.

Those copies were sitting in the mostly empty "clearance bin" for quite a while.

I'm pretty sick, but will make the trip to my local Sears (Houston) and report back with findings in a bit. Hopefully they will have updated with clearance prices, but considering their past track record, I'm not to optimistic =\

Scanned Elebits yesterday when I picked up the other $4.97 games, it was still $9.97 at my store.

Armored Core 4(PS3/360) - $14.97
Dragon Quest Monsters: Joker - $14.97
Viewtiful Joe 1/2 (Gamecube) - $4.97

I'm not seeing as good prices as some of you guys....

When do the usually restock/update the clearence section?

Any tips,links to tips or PMs would be helpful.

Warhawk was still $16.97 when I checked it last night at another local Sears store. Here's to hoping it's dropped at my closest store and no one has picked it up yet.:pray:

My local Sears finally had the new prices, got Armored Core 4, Dynasty Warriors Gundam and Warhawk and Viewtiful Joe

for 4.97, it's worth a playthrough. the gameplay gets a little redundant, graphics are very last-gen, levels are very boring with very little details. i bought my copy for 10, so i feel a bit ripped off.

This location is always EXTREMELY slow with pricing. I was honestly amazed when they had January prices in January. I'm hoping for some of the new Feb pricing soon though since they were ontime for January. I'll update if I see any drops soon, and would appreciate the same :D

What is your opinion of the other Orange County Sears locations? The Orange and Costa Mesa stores suck also IMHO. Westminster is decent.
 
Picked up Battalion Wars and Metroid Prime Hunters for $5. They wouldn't price adjust MPH when I got it in January. God, they're so obtuse sometimes.

Anyways, SUCCESS today! 3 for 3 on stores dropped. Most games were 4.97, some of the ps2 stuff like Jak X and Spyhunter was down to 1.97, and the gamecube frontlanes were down to .97. A few games stuck at 9.97 for some reason (Super Swing Wii, Elebits Wii, Splinter Cell DA).

Any CAGers near MENTOR OHIO, you have a small goldmine - I was there yesterday and they hadnt dropped anything, and the guy said they just did the January drops, so it still should be unmarked. Im not driving there again anytime soon.

I'll try and get my price list up soon

I've only checked out the Costa Mesa store recently, and they fit your description of sucking. Nothing good there, no scanners around, and no one working in the electronics section.

Willowbrook Still had 1 copy of street homecourt (i think paramus had a few) , ncaa march madness, college hoops 2k8, and bullet witch I think.

edit:

Oh you meant Paramus. They had time shift which I didnt scan and some other goodies in a corner I almost missed. I think it's worth a trip. I definately took the last armored core 4 and dynasty warriors:gundam, they may still have an eternal sonata.
