Be aware that not all Sears are alike, so prices are definitely YMMV.
List
  • date = date posted or updated
  • cp = current price
  • opp = old posted price
  • (oos) = out of system
  • * = posted at different prices (more than twice, most are)
Colors
  • white = current update
  • dark gray = old (ie. out of stock items)
if the prices are not updated in over a month, it will be colored as dark gray.

notes:
  • Don't turn this into your own trade list. Don't ask people if they want to trade X game for your Y game. PM is the best way to ask. Do your trading on the Sears Trade Thread.
  • Print UPC-A barcodes if you're having a hard time getting someone to open the cases for you. If you need UPCs refer to Half.com (just type the name of the game) or to io's kmart clearance thread. Go to either UPCDatabase.com or Barcodesinc.com to generate a UPC A barcode.
  • If you bring up a game and the employee scans it and does not show up in the system, it is most likely that the item has been pulled out of their inventory (most of us would call it 'out of system'). What this means is that the item must be returned to the manufacturer (so they were told anyways, but i don't believe it..). You can try to get them to sell it to you for the stickered price shown or maybe lower. It depends on the employee or manager.
  • Some of you are confused as to why some games are priced and rung up at retail prices but its listed below as clearanced at their respective clearance prices. Heres a good example:
    • 100607 ... 01.97 ... 09.97 ... Dead or Alive 4 (Non PH) *
    • ^^^^^ notice how the last reported price was October 6, 2007. The Platinum Hits version was also on clearance since it shared the Regular version's barcode. But they put the price back up in retail a few months later. Hence you still see the game now as retail instead of clearance.

Mine Sears actually has the games in 3 different spots. One is inside (and on top of)the glass case, another is in a bin, and the last is in a DVD rack. It seems that any new releases go directly into the rack (and will stay there until bought), while the bin and rack are for budget games they get.
 
My Sears now puts all the clearance games on an endcap facing the main aisle/walkway. There are at least 40 games lined up on clearance. Its all the ones already stated this month in this thread, but with the games put up front like that, its less likely I will get to see the games go down to $5 and $10 like before. They used to have the clearance games all the way in the back of electronics by the televisions. I'm hoping the moms and dads leave the games alone and dont buy the games at the ~20% off they are at right now.

Anyone know if Project Gotham Racing 4 for the 360 is below $14.97 yet? I've been wanting that game but since it's been cheap for so long even $14.97 seems too high - $5 sounds like a good price point. :D

Also, it looks like my SEARS is starting to get behind you guys in terms of drops, as the FF reported here for $10 was $20 at mine and Contra 4 was $10 instead of $5. It's all YMMV but it's interesting because my SEARS used to be on the same time frame as the rest of yours.

What happened is likely it was asking for a serial number. For some reason that game and World Championship Poker 2 on PSP the register asks for a serial number. It sometimes requires it to be scanned twice to either input a generic number or bypass it possible since of course individual games don't have serial numbers.
 
Are WarHawks(PS3) still ringing up $9.97? Stopped at an out of the way Sears on my way into work and saw a couple. They were locked up with no one around. I was running late as it was, or I would have politely asked the very helpful employees for assistance.

The one I was referring to was at Miami International Mall, how is the Southland Mall lately?

It should, but with the YMMV nature of Sears clearance items, you never know. A Sears near me still has Lair for $59.99 for crying out loud (should be $8.97 or under).
 
Okay, so i went to sears. HUGE clearance sign. I pick FF Tactics, Jeanne D'Arc, Mass Effect, GoW, and some other stuff out. As there are no pricetags, I run to the price check. Everything came up full price, so I asked the person who worked there. She said "That's the price. You cant get this game for cheaper." I told her I knew that they were not discounted, and left. It sucks, I picked out nice stuff.

southland dosn't have much but they do have 2 copies of Buzz PS3 for the clearance price of 24.97
 
Picked up the last box of :ps3: Buzz! at my local Sears. Still sitting high on the shelf with the regular prices games, with no shelf tag. Asked the cashier what the price was and bought it for $24.97.

Went to the Sears on 49th St. today in South FL and saw Bioshock(PS3) on clearance for $24.xx. Decided at that price that I'd finally pick it up - but I'll have to wait until I beat RE5 and Killzone 2 before I get into it.
 
I usually don't check this thread much since I never seem to have any luck finding cheap games at Sears. But I have been wanting to buy Buzz for PS3, and getting it under $30 will make me a happy camper. I guess I'll go out tomorrow to try to find a copy. Thanks.

Woo hoo! I found one! I decided to try a Sears that was a bit further, fully expecting not to find anything. But there was a copy there waiting for me. Sticker said $59.99, but rang up for $24.97. Maybe not the best deal possible, but still very good. I think it'll be a good casual game to have around and play every once in a while.

but Buzz is a helluva lotta fun with friends...im interested in downloading some of the additional quizzes too

Yeah, it would've been nicer to pick up Buzz! for $10 or $2 like I did with Singstar, but I didn't want to chance not getting it at all, since the Sears near me had 1 copy or less.

Sorry for asking I just know they had like 10 versions of buzz on the PS2 and eventually started selling them without the buzzers so I just wanted to see if maybe this was the same.

Nope, which seems since the PS2 buzzers work just fine on the PS3, and the fact that Sony released Singstar V.1 in both a bundle and stand-alone.

Just Sony deciding to force an upgrade on PS3 owners I guess.

I don't like the fact that the wireless buzzers are powered by 2 AA batteries each. Then again, the PS2 wired buzzers ALWAYS get tangled together, so maybe the wireless is worth it.

Well you would think that the damn things would be BT like the six axis but ah well if someone tries to run off you could always toss the PS2 ones at them and they would tangle thier feet... those things were a pain to keep untangled....

you kidding.. sears always needs people even in this economy. at least the store i work in is pretty ridiculous with not firing anyone.

Every Sears I go into seems to have more employees then customers in it, by like a 3 to 1 ratio. That can't be healthy for the company.
 
I have noticed that as well, Sears is always empty. KMart is even worse. With CC gone, KMart and Sears are the 2 stores I depend on for cheap clearance games and without them it would make getting deals a lot more difficult since Walmart and Best Buy are so YMMV, Target is difficult to get stuff at 75% off and TRU doesn't usually have anything that great.

I found the JBL Micro iPod speaker on a clearance table in Waterbury CT and it was marked $9.98. I snapped it up. This was still $99.99 @ Best Buy. The plastic container was all cracked and looked a bit dingy, but the JBL speaker system was intact, all the pieces were there and still sealed in plastic, and contrary to the reviews I read about it, it came with a carrying case as well. Sound is decent, I haven't tried the remote yet. Reviews are correct about there not being much bass, but that's just physics I'd imagine.

I went into that Sears looking for Armored Core 4 or Enchanted Sonata but found neither. Maybe the price has already dropped at your location and they haven't marked it?
