Be aware that not all Sears are alike, so prices are definitely YMMV.
List
  • date = date posted or updated
  • cp = current price
  • opp = old posted price
  • (oos) = out of system
  • * = posted at different prices (more than twice, most are)
Colors
  • white = current update
  • dark gray = old (ie. out of stock items)
if the prices are not updated in over a month, it will be colored as dark gray.

notes:
  • Don't turn this into your own trade list. Don't ask people if they want to trade X game for your Y game. PM is the best way to ask. Do your trading on the Sears Trade Thread.
  • Print UPC-A barcodes if you're having a hard time getting someone to open the cases for you. If you need UPCs refer to Half.com (just type the name of the game) or to io's kmart clearance thread. Go to either UPCDatabase.com or Barcodesinc.com to generate a UPC A barcode.
  • If you bring up a game and the employee scans it and does not show up in the system, it is most likely that the item has been pulled out of their inventory (most of us would call it 'out of system'). What this means is that the item must be returned to the manufacturer (so they were told anyways, but i don't believe it..). You can try to get them to sell it to you for the stickered price shown or maybe lower. It depends on the employee or manager.
  • Some of you are confused as to why some games are priced and rung up at retail prices but its listed below as clearanced at their respective clearance prices. Heres a good example:
    • 100607 ... 01.97 ... 09.97 ... Dead or Alive 4 (Non PH) *
    • ^^^^^ notice how the last reported price was October 6, 2007. The Platinum Hits version was also on clearance since it shared the Regular version's barcode. But they put the price back up in retail a few months later. Hence you still see the game now as retail instead of clearance.

The packaging design makes these way too easy to steal, the cart is at the top of the package so all they need to do is slit the package at the top and they have the game.

Besides that at the sears I frequent there is never anyone around electronics and half the time there is a group of about 5-6 employess grouped up talking in the appliance area...

i never figured out why they do this at stores.. so now i know.. i actually saw some GBA games at FYE last night where theres a clear tape that goes around the boxes. and at times i see some of them at kmart as well

I checked out a new Sears (to me). It had a great clearance section but was mostly dead deal-wise. I got :ps2: Pinball Hall of Fame: The Gottlieb Collection for $1.97 and that was it. I was hoping for a Lair, but still nothing. Their PS3 selection was the worst I've seen so far.

You'd better TEST that HD-DVD drive somehow, since I picked up THREE of them from a Kmart here for $12 each. I shipped one off without properly testing it to a fellow CAG in trade for a router. It arrived in non working condition.

Unfortunately, the 360 wasn't the only thing with a 30% or so failure rate, as I later on read up on the HD-DVD drives being shitty too.

Needless to say, after shipping out a second one and getting the original back, I returned the third one and the faulty one I got back.

But for $5, you might be able to find a driver that makes it into an external cd/dvd drive for your computer. Otherwise, make sure that you don't mind losing that $5 since it may be a total doa pos.
 
I didn't realize they were that bad, the 2 I bought at KMart for $5 in September were sold and I guess I should be glad I didn't hear any complaints from the buyers.

I go to the same sears and I had saw that, I was meaning to check the price because people had said they had been ringing up for $4.97. Probably better that you got it though. I don't have a 360 and it probably would have ended up sitting around in my room.

well im glad your not a moron like the few nerds that noticed i said mexicans.

theres a whole class about ethics and whats right and wrong, but imo its a way to distingush people. and im not 100% they are mexicans but im pretty damn sure when i see their kids which they dont watch raid the store.

i dont really give a rats butt who it is but its wrong nevertheless to steal games. and thats exactly why they have glass cases. people may wine about it but you stop low lifes and little kids from stealing. more or less i pressume its little kids. and being that many that walk into that sears are mexican because its close to where the illegal ones roam the streets, i can take a educated guess that its them. i would say it must be rich white kids but its not in that type of neightborhood. ;)

is lair even worth that much? i tend to no pay at all for a crappy game. use the $7 for wendys or something else vs finding out the game is not fun. theres a demo on the ps store in toyko

I HATED lair so much...it made me die a little inside. Yes, use that $7 and have a nice lunch.

I used to work at a cd store and amongst other music that was put into cases to prevent theft, we put gospel cds. In fact they were even closer to where the managers normally were at the far back of the store. There is even theft for songs about god.

It was, but it's just one guy on the internet not some hate parade in DC. Seeing as how 2 of the figureheads (of CAG) are Jewish, that would mostly likely cause quite an uproar.
 
Singstar PS3 bundle is down to $4.97, OOS of course but it was on my UPC sheet.

I also got a bunch of DS games for $0.97, all junk likely but for that price I don't care. I got Tomb Raider, Flipper Critters and Big Mutha Truckers. All had UPC stickers.

Mercury for Wii also scanned $0.97 but was OOS (I bought the last copy for $4.97 in December, was afraid it would sell out before it got down to $1.97 or $0.97)

What was fusturating was I saw a pile of games with a few Lair's, Armored Core 4 and some other stuff I couldn't see. I asked if they were for sale since I was sure Lair was under $5 (it was $4.97 earlier this week before the January drops), and the guy told me they weren't for sale. I'm sure the employees were buying them and I know they get first dibs but I wish they hadn't left them out like that at the register.

Crap, I was wondering what happened to the Hol 07 games were the last time I was at sears. One of the employees admitted to me that he bought them and took them to GS, I doubt he made much on those stinkers though.

One other thing I noticed at Sears was the Nyko Dual USB Charger for the ps3. It plugs in the wall, has 2 usb ports and 2 4 ft. cables. It rang up at $3.97. The cords are worth that much lol.

But unless I could flip the headset for $12 on here to someone, it wouldn't be worth it to me.

Too bad it's snowing here or I'd take back my Singstar bundle I got for PS3 for $10 and try to get it for the reduced price. Then again, my local stores NEVER seem to drop the fuckin' prices at the same time as everyone else reports in this thread, so I was shocked when I got it for $10 in the first place.

Any copies of Lair left? I'd pick up one to play(and see how bad it is) for $7. Also, I was thinking of picking up that Warhawk bundle IF it dropped to the next level UNDER $17, but thanks for saving me money on that. I refuse to pay anything over $5-7 for an online only game.

Did you check Dynasty Warriors Gundam for PS3 or 360 there? I ask because I think the PS3/360 versions still get $20 something at Blockbuster in trade.
 
Nah, no Lair's left, picked up one for me and Grittz. I didnt have Dynasty Warriors scanned although i did see it, but i checked Fear (PS3 $9.97 i think) , F1 (PS3 19.97).
 
Darn, I didn't know Assassins creed or Manhunt dropped, I think I saw a copy of Assassins creed at my local Sears, looks like I am going back today.

I also forgot to mention Two Worlds for XBox 360 scanned for $1.97 last night, it was OOS since it was correctly tagged at $9.97 last month so I guess some other people bought the 2 copies they had.
