Be aware that not all Sears are alike, so prices are definitely YMMV.
List
  • date = date posted or updated
  • cp = current price
  • opp = old posted price
  • (oos) = out of system
  • * = posted at different prices (more than twice, most are)
Colors
  • white = current update
  • dark gray = old (ie. out of stock items)
if the prices are not updated in over a month, it will be colored as dark gray.

notes:
  • Don't turn this into your own trade list. Don't ask people if they want to trade X game for your Y game. PM is the best way to ask. Do your trading on the Sears Trade Thread.
  • Print UPC-A barcodes if you're having a hard time getting someone to open the cases for you. If you need UPCs refer to Half.com (just type the name of the game) or to io's kmart clearance thread. Go to either UPCDatabase.com or Barcodesinc.com to generate a UPC A barcode.
  • If you bring up a game and the employee scans it and does not show up in the system, it is most likely that the item has been pulled out of their inventory (most of us would call it 'out of system'). What this means is that the item must be returned to the manufacturer (so they were told anyways, but i don't believe it..). You can try to get them to sell it to you for the stickered price shown or maybe lower. It depends on the employee or manager.
  • Some of you are confused as to why some games are priced and rung up at retail prices but its listed below as clearanced at their respective clearance prices. Heres a good example:
    • 100607 ... 01.97 ... 09.97 ... Dead or Alive 4 (Non PH) *
    • ^^^^^ notice how the last reported price was October 6, 2007. The Platinum Hits version was also on clearance since it shared the Regular version's barcode. But they put the price back up in retail a few months later. Hence you still see the game now as retail instead of clearance.

I picked up Dance Dance Revolution Universe 3 for the 360, with the dance pad, for $4.97 at the St Paul, MN store on Rice. They are not very up to date on their clearance items with many items having tags reflecting markdowns from several months ago.

I've seen them at Toysrus for .98 and $6.98. I'm almost positive it was set 1 and set 2, but maybe the more expensive was set 3? I can check tomorrow and post it.

That would really suck if someone paid full price for the bundle and traded it in.

I had no clue that they stopped making the cards. I probably saw them clearanced someplace back before, but not having the PSeye, they never even caught my eye. I'll definitely have to keep a look out from now on...
 
Picked up the Eye Of Judgment bundle today but it was $19.97 and not $15.97. Been trying to score this bundle on the cheap ever since I got my slim PS3, so I don't mind paying the extra $4.

Ummm. FAIL. HDMI cables carry 0's and 1's to other devices that convert those bits to digital picture and sound.

Unless you found a way to sit around watching television and playing games from the end of an HDMI cable.
 
All of the games at my (somewhat) local Sears that had been on clearance went back up to MSRP. There were literally 30 copies of about 18 games. Should have grabbed them shits instead of just getting stuff I wanted, heh.

Kinda strange to see Spiderman for PS3 on that list. I already picked up 2 copies of it last month for under $5. Why would it be on clearance again for $15?
 
were seeing more and more regional clearance. web of shadows has been on clearance for awhile now. i couldnt find any of them even when they were at $14.97

here are some known regional deals -

cranium kabooki - $5 > $29.99 at one of my stores
monster hunter freedom 2 - $5 > $39.99 at all the stores i visit
guitar hero aerosmith ps3 bundle - $3 > $49.99 at one store and $79.99 at another
final fantasy 2 for psp - reported by several people at $9.97 > $19.99 at all the stores i visit
 
I stopped by my Sears a couple days ago. They had no clearance games. The employee said they did over the summer, but most likely all of them sold. Cheapest thing I saw was $14.99 for NHL 2K8. I passed. I did find a Nyko charge station w/ 2 batteries for Xbox 360 for $4.97. I picked that up in a heartbeat!

I think people were having issues with those charge stations with the batteries for their 360 controllers and they had to contact Nyko for replacements, since some of the batteries didn't fit the newer controllers.

That reminds me that I have two of those Nyko Dual Charge USB to mini-USB chargers that were .97 earlier this year on clearance.
 
There has been nothing on the clearance shelf at my sears since i grabbed guitar hero aerosmith for 3 bucks. I have been checking every few days too. I'm starting to lose hope with my sears.

Just when you start to lose hope and go one last time they usually drop stuff or you stop going and someone else is there to clean up ha ha..

I know how you feel out of the 2 sears around me left that sell games the one always has everything marked and is hanging on a wall for crying out loud but you cant blame them for wanting to get rid of it and the other one still has Lair for $59.99 to use as an example....
 
About a month ago the Sears here, North Louisiana, had Mercenaries 2 and Viva Pinata 2 for $5 each and that's it. I went back today and the cheapest games they have are $19.99 and nothing that you couldn't find cheaper used.

All their other games that have dropped everywhere else is still full price, like others have said. :(

They had ZERO copies of Mercenaries 2 for $5 around here. For some reason it went back up to $19.99 in the system and has stayed there.
 
Oblivion GOTY is still ringing up at my Sears for 24.99. Unreal Tournament 3 and Battlefield: Bad Company are ringing up at 19.99 or something like that. Hopefully they will be entering the clearance cycle too since it seems others have already got them at the $10 mark.

New prices are live 10/08/09 at 11:59 pm so essentiallly 10/09/09. Overlooked that little fact, sorry.

As for the scanning comment that is with our handheld units (SNCs)

Secondly, worst list ever. Old sports shit and a rushed Spiderman game? Only MGS4 is worth hunting for, and no way will that stick around till its $5 (or $10).

Damn, Sears was HOT for a few months there. Each month would yield new $5 games that were actually pretty good! I guess it can't last forever.
 
I'm sure that list is incomplete. Chances of October having a ton of clearance are slim only because the last few months have been hot, but I'm sure that there will be quiet a few items that aren't on that list that go into clearance in October.

Remember, I'm sure he is only scanning a select few items (likely with a handheld scanner) and is limited to the items in stock in his sears. THe rest of us have to fill in the gaps.

Sadly I forgot to take a list with me every time I was out by Sears till today, and at ours you can't see the prices without having a sales person come over and open a case, and the clearance stickers never get put on the games so you have to ask to have each item scanned... Long story short, I finally took in my list today and apparently someone had cleaned them out bigtime because probably half of the PS3 section was emptied compared to two weeks ago. Somehow they missed my EoJ though :p

Somehow a pink and white Flip Video camera appeared at the Chapel Hill, OH Target for $31.97 before tax since the last time I was there.

After pulling a rabbit out of my hat to get the money, I got it. I've been searching for one for a while, and I could care less that it is pink. :D
 
Horrible trip to a Sears I hadn't been to in a while. Diner Dash DS full price, nfs carbon psp, tagged 14.97, I was expecting it to be 2.97. It scanned for $19.99. Mercs 2 Ps3 19.99. The only cheap game was Madden 07 360 for $1.97. Not worth it of course
 
I think all Sears stores must've put Mercenaries 2 back up to it's current MSRP, which is $19.99. I know this because it's been $19.99 at every Sears I've seen it at.
 
A similar thing happened to me last month. A week before the new SEPT markdowns, alot of games I knew to be clearanced went back to full retail. I don't know if they ever went back down.
 
I think it might be time to update the OP and remove all the games that were raised to 19.99--which is just about all of them. I checked Bad Company, DOA4 non-PH, and Jumper today and all were 19.99. Did buy some 97 cent Lexmark black ink to get my parking ticket stamped =P

Good one. It's a great little camera, and you got it for great price. Just put a bunch of stickers on it, and you'll be good to go.
 
I went into a Sears I hadn't been to before, and saw a bunch of PS3 Warhawk bundles in the case, as well as other ancient clearance games like Full Auto 2! These games were clearenced so long ago that I'd long since thrown away the UPCs I printed out. So I ask to get these games out of the case, expecting them to ring up as $0.00 and having to get the manager to price them etc, but nope, of course they both rang up FULL PRICE. And it wasn't a case of the employee reading a price tag on the games, since they didn't have price tags. Damn, I was disappointed! Is this what happens to clearance titles that just sit on the shelf, they revert back to regular prices? Or does this Sears just exist in its own bubble of pricing?
 
That seems to have happened across the board on those games, from what many people have posted over the last week. I'm not too upset, though. Lost Odyssey, Folklore, and Viking for three bucks? Score. BioShock and Heavenly Sword for five bucks? Yes.

I remember when i found Full Auto 2. I went the week before to get Dynasty Warriors Gundam. Week after, the price went down $10 so I did a return/rebuy. Then I decided to look around and see if anything else dropped that was worthwhile and BAM! They found some random copy of FA2 from the darkest depths of their stockroom and when I got it to ring up, 0.97. I was very happy. :D
