Official Sears Clearance Thread II - post Sears finds/deals here

Wow, the clearance bins and shelves at my local Sears were completely wiped out of EVERYTHING PS3 related (still a TON of the same old Wii, 360, and DS games left though). I tried looking around to see if they moved PS3 stuff specifically to its own end-cap but to no avail.

Either a new CAG has entered my previously uninhabited turf, or some random guy came in, saw $15-20 stickers, and thought he would try his luck on Ebay (though that wouldn't explain ignoring the other systems with lower prices on better games).

EDIT: I actually was able to find a copy of Tony Hawk's Proving Ground for 47 cents at the bottom of the bin buried under DS games though.

Checked a Grand Rapids Sears. Didn't find Metroid Tri, Motorstorm, or Blob but did pick up TNA Impact Wii, Viva Pinata, and Transformers PS3 for the reported prices.

Price checked Wet XB and Wolfenstein XB hoping for drops but neither were low enough.
I'm intersted in this one too... You must have too many games if you didn't notice they were gone.
:booty:One thing I find particularly hilarious is the projected release date for the upcoming game "I Am Alive"(disaster game bout a major earthquake in Chicago area). It's in 2012.

What's the camera look like? I was probably staring right at it yesterday at the other local store.
Its black, theres 3 or 4 left at the DC store.

You act like this wouldn't be a problem for 99% of the CAG community.

Well... like most here, I buy cheap (and good) games a lot. I have a lot of games that I haven't even played once. But I don't think my collection is that big... just close to 500 physical games, but I think that's low compared to most CAG members.

Or somebody actually started doing their job and correctly labeled all the prices for the games. My local store hired an older gentleman who noticed the price differences when I bought some games last month...this month almost everything was gone and the scraps that were left were priced correctly. Same thing happened when I was buying those Aerosmith Guitar Hero bundles last year...once they labeled them correctly they didn't last more than a day or two.

Thought I lucked out when I found that Kodak 720 frame but it scanned for $64 not $12 like some reported here.

I'm the same way though with having too many games, I'd only notice missing games cause there would be open holes in my overstuffed DVD shelf.

I hope your "friend" is still around so you can get them back or at least get money. Go collect son!

Actually, I would think most CAGs would NOT have a large library of games since you can either trade them in for more credit than you paid or sell on CG/Ebay or wherever. I have about 20 right now and thats a ton for me. I normally have less than 5 at any one time.

I have bought thousands of games over the years since the Atari days. I just don't like a lot of clutter, so it might just be me...

Went to another Sears today but they didn't have anything. Just saw A Boy and His Blob. I found Boom Blox Bash Party and Sonic & SEGA All Stars Racing for the Wii but they were not on clearance or cheap. Sonic was $40 and Boom Blox was $30. I wasn't sure if these had been on clearance before but these were two games that I wanted to get. I didn't get them so I'll just have to keep looking online for good deals.

I have 20+ sealed PS3 games alone. I can't bring myself to trade in the majority of my games because the return isn't large enough to overpower the feeling that I might want to go back and replay it.
anyone know a good bar-code generator so I can scan some games without having to lug the stack around the store?
Google "UPC Generator", first link. You'll want "UPC-A" as the barcode symbology.

It's not the size of one's library that counts ... It's the motion in the ocean!

Ha, you've seen my collection. I hardly sell my games unless it's a sports game or a Ubisoft or EA game that i can get for 9 dollars a year later.

Yeah, I would kill for a Boom Blox clearance.

Please pardon my ignorance (I've been mostly a Target clearance shopper) but after reading the OP I still have a question.
If I've found a game that clearanced over a year ago and is now ringing up full retail in the self-service price-checker, there is no hope of getting the game at its clearance price, is there?

Traveled a bit further to another sears mainly hoping to find Hot Shots Golf OOB:ps3: no luck on that. But did pick up Transformers RoF:ps3: Excitebots w/ Wheel:wii:, GH Metallica:ps3: and Disney DDR:wii: (game w/ 2 dance pads) all for 4.97 each. Checked TNA :wii: & Viva Pinata :360: which rang up full price for me. I love how the cashiers hesitate to ask after they are shocked by the price if I want to protect this game for $3 more to cover it for a year. LOL at that price i'll just buy another one :)

$5? Can anyone else confirm this? Last month it rang up as $14.xx. Did it really drop $10 in this month's cuts? That would be awesome if so... I saw one at a nearby sears when I grabbed some PS3 games but didn't bother to scan it (figured it was $10 this month). Would love to pick it up @ $5 for gifts. Maybe I'd better go back and check. Thanks for mentioning this!
No, it either was never on clearance at that store or it was taken off clearance was raised to full price.
Thanks. Damn too bad.

I FEEL U ON THAT!!!!:whistle2:k

My friends, I have hit a jackpot. One store:

Red Bull (DS) 4 x .27
Final Fantasy IV (DS) 2 x 2.97
Rock Revolution (DS) 1.97
Bakugan Battle Brawlers (PS3) 2 x 4.97
Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2 (PS3) 4.97
Lego Rock Band (PS3) 4.97
Muramasa (Wii) 2 x 4.97
Tony Hawk’s Proving Ground (PS3) .47
Stuntman Ignition (360) .47
Viva Pinata (360) 1.97
Spyborgs (Wii) 1.97
Medieval Games (1.97)
Total 48.39

DiRT 2 (360) 9.97
Hot Shots Golf: Out of Bounds (PS3) 2 x .97
Total 12.62

^^Lucky you. Most games at my local stores get bought up at the $9.97 drop.

In my area, the :wii: Disney DDR is priced at $9.97. $4.97 would be a steal for that.

I can confirm it was 9.97 this month from two stores. 4.97 sounds like a one of those fluke YMMV prices, I'm pretty sure the standard drop was to 9.97.

It probably was. Most of the regular discounted items I saw and scanned were higher priced than other locations. I think I lucked up on this one. They had a lot of old games at regular price that used to be discounted as well.

I will exchange one copy of Hot Shots Golf :ps3: and 2 copies of Imagine :ds: for one copy of Motorstorm: Pacific Rift :ps3:...

The 3 games I will exchange are unopened... any takers?

not the place...you know better...:shame:

Found quite a few titles yesterday.
Thanks to all the reports, must have scanned 100 games! Bought about $80 worth (only one double).
Funny though, found the old DS doctor game and it rang $14.99

Hey has only one member found wii Exite Truck? If so, do you have the Sears item number on your receipt please?
I wanted to rebuy a copy...one of my first wii games and it was/is pretty fun lil driver ...

7x Motorstorm Pacific Rift. About $35 total and the look on the cashier faces was priceless and he had to confirm it with other employees. Does this happen to you guys too? I sold some to gamestop but it looks like I can more bucks out of it on ebay.
^ Can you post the UPC or the model #?
Edit: There's also some generic 2gb mp3 players for 12.97! YMMV of course.

I saw a few of those last night at the other local Sears, but I think they were marked $19.97 or something. I would've picked one up for $10 to have when I go out of town though.

Of course the price marked was probably wrong and I should've had it scanned.

Oh well.

Just some insight from a guy that owns that RCA MP3 player.

- The battery life is mediocre at best. It needs daily charging if used somewhat often. (Perfect to take with the gym, not so much when on a long flight)
- The rubber tops that cover the headphone jack and USB-mini connection are easily ripped off if not careful.
- The included headphones do it's job well enough (Good news for Cheapest ;)) but can get uncomfortable if worn for an hour or so. This might just me though since I have big ears :whistle2:#.
- Navigating the menu's can be a chore at first with many folders to go through to find the right song / radio station.

Other than those gripes, the price is worth it for an entry level MP3 player.

Insanely jealous. :(

Dang, I have never had much success at the Sears stores around atlanta. And this time has been no different. Found three A Boy and His Blobs and one ExciteBots trick something or other with wheel after hitting five Sears stores. le sigh.

I too am highly jealous.

My couple of sears are the sears grand in hicktowns that barely exist. The best one i go to is connected to a dead mall in an old part of town, so its a bit easier to find these deals most of the time. Still never found a copy of hotshots golf even when it was at the $2.97 price. Go figure.

The Sears I found those at was connected to a dead mall. I forgot to mention that I left behind 5x A Boy and His Blob at 4.97 a piece because I ran out of money on my debit card. Ha
