It's the Gamecube and Xbox versions that have the rebate.
 
Anyone know why the Dreamcast is listed as backorder, when usually they'll just pull the page if there's none in stock? It'll let you "buy" 100 of them. Maybe they're expecting a bunch from the stores. A sign that they're starting to rid the stores of all their classic items?

It's a mixed bag really. Probably 60% of the games I've gotten have been complete.

Maybe this is the start of a new way of doing things?

It would be nice if this is how they treat OOS titles, actually. That would leave us with the store locator, which is pretty darn accurate nine times out of ten, which gives us another avenue to hunt down these games.

Have you considered that this could be a new policy for the chain?
 
Sweet, glad I checked the Sega Genesis games. I picked up Scooby Doo Mystery for $5.45. This game is one of the few point and click adventure games on the Genesis and it goes for around 10-15 + shipping on Ebay most of the time :whistle2:D

Complete as in they got a case and manual with a preowned game they ordered online. Since EBgames dosen't guarantee this stuff on any games preowned besides the GameCube, PS2 & Xbox you are lucky for example to get a Playstation game complete.

I've only ever received 1 INCOMPLETE DC game from EB.com. Go firgure.

Thanks for giving me the idea to check NES. Got Wheel of Fortune with Vanna White. Kind of a rare game.
 
As far as getting games complete, my luck is about 50/50 on PS1 games. I have only ordered 1 DC game from ebgames.com (Typing of the Dead), and it came complete.
 
I've bought 3 DC games from EBGames, and 2 of them came complete. (Shenmue and Evolution 1)

Evolution 2 came incomplete. Or was it the other way around...

Either way, one Evolution game came complete, the other didn't. Can't really complain.
 
Shit! They pulled San Andreas today. Since they still had it yesterday I figured they'd keep it for awhile, and payday wasn't until today anyway. I should've used my credit card.
 
EB did? They sold it to me today, and seemed to be gloating about how they're one of the only major retailers that still sold it.

'twas early in the day, of course.
 
I just got back from EB and bought 3. They said there was a 2 per person limit, but the guy was like, now if you walk out and come back in...so they gave me three. I guess another EB won't sell them though, at least according to them. I went to gamestop earlier, and they had these signs posted "ATTENTION PARENTS GTA...blah blah blah" and so I asked, but the guy was like, "Yeah, we have a ton in the back, I just can't sell em. I asked my manager if I could buy one, and he said no." So, go to EB, FYE has some because they aren't sending them back, they are just waiting for the AO stickers. I went to BB, C.C., Target, TRU, Compusa, but everyone got rid of them. Hope this helps.
 
How can you guys tell how many copies are left for any given game at eb? I've looked and looked, and can't find it anywhere. Anyone?

Put 99 in your cart and hit update quantities.It will change to how many are left.

Meijer still carries it. They even have in their ad this week mentioning they have GTA:SA for Xbox for $39.99.
 
I e-mailed ebgames about the codes capping off at $10, here's the response I got:


"Thank you for contacting EBgames.com.

Unfortunately, the code is temporarily capped for maintenance. We expect
it to be fixed soon, but there is no time frame on when it will be
available"

So it sounds like it will be working right soon, which is good cause I've got another $250 coming to me on Thursday and I'm a long way to completing my Xbox collection.
 
come on early update.. lame in a way might be one of the last ones i get to buy major stuff. rolled my freaking ankle saturday and been up all last night with it thumping. Be my luck i rebroke my foot (broke it in 3 spots back in 1991) and dont say you cant walk on a broken foot cause i walked on it 4 days back in 1991 before i went to the doctor
