I couldn't be happier to see Last of Us at the top of the charts. The more people playing that masterpiece the better.

A bunch of people I work with went from 360 to PS4 this gen so this was the first time they played. It was great talking to them about it. They even got into multiplayer which is awesome IMO and that's coming from a guy who basically never plays games online.

I'm interested to see the actual sales breakdown between the consoles because even though PS4 was out on top again, I suspect the Xbone is not that far behind.  Just doing a quick survey at my local gamestops, the managers I know seem to notice an even race between the two consoles.  Even looking at Amazon's best seller's list, Xbone consoles rank up there when you combine the limited edition versions with the Destiny LE console.  I think Sony will be on top for most of the year but I think the month of November is when Halo will finally put Xbone up on the #1 list (at least temporarily) since Sony will lack that system seller.

Yep, they're not dead in the US but they wont dominate it like they did last gen. WW is a different story though, they will continue to be massacred.

anybody here played Madden on PS4?  Been playing for a couple hours and none of the MUT or CC trophies are popping.  Have they glitched before?  Cant find anything about it on other forums...

 
So apparently with SharePlay, the maximum length of a session is 60 minutes. Which is still perfectly fine. I understand they don't want multiple people completing games using this method. If everything works smoothly, this could be a killer feature. I read a piece from an interview with Shu and he was talking about "loaning" games to friends like this. As long as the game uses a Dualshock 4 it will be compatible. He also mentioned, eventually maybe being able to use the feature between a PS4 and another device, such as a tablet or smart tv.

It works by making your PS4 into a PS Now server(sorta). Your friend will be streaming the game from your console.

It sounds more like Sony has made remote play available from PS4 to PS4 where it was just PS4 to Vita before.

Sony has confirmed with GameSpot that Share Play users will be limited to 60 minutes per session. There's no limit on the number of times you can use Share Play, meaning you can conceivably start Share Play up again and continue playing.

Note that because SharePlay is basically the streaming of gameplay between 2 PS4s, it stands to reason that whoever is lending their game will basically be lending both their game AND their PS4. If your friend wants to borrow a game for an hour or so, it means you won't be able to use your PS4 during that time – unless it's to assist, disrupt, or just plain troll your friend.

Seriously, I am not trying to be biased, but the one on the right seriously looks like a cartoon or comic.... Not even close when they are compared to each other... That's sad

Ummm are you looking at the correct screen of each game? Because Drive Club is on the left and Forza is on the right. The left looks more natural while the right is brighter like you mentioned.

Either way I am not looking forward to both games as I am not a racing fan.

Perhaps it's just the colors but it doesn't look right. It looks very muted compared to Forza.

Also what's "Sad" is that Drive Club won't even look that good at launch since weather effects aren't coming until after launch.

Okay I'm at lost about what you said early and now. First you said that Drive Club looks odd because it is brighter, now you are saying that Drive Club is not looking right because it is muted compared to Forza.

My basic point is it doesn't look right. It looks like it lacked color and that's why I mentioned the brightness because it looks bright in the sense that minus the car itself, everything else in the environment looks muted and lifeless so to speak.

This being said according to a lot of posters in Neogaf's Gamescom thread people mentioned that the track shown above is very gray and muddled looking so perhaps it's just an issue with that specific track.

A cloudy day with mist, fog, and rain is going to look like that.

Themes coming in PS4 2.0 firmware confirmed by Playstation Blogcast.

Completely opposite for me, like nearly everyone else said. The one on the right looks cartoonish with the colors.

(This coming from somone that doesn't play sim racing games; I won't be in for either one. But Driveclub looks way better in that comparison shot.)

Ehh both games look great.  It's no different from Gran Turismo/Forza comparisons.  Usually Sony's racing games have a more realistic look compared to Forza's oversaturation of colors.

 
Im praying that update 2.0 includes folders or some sort of organization options for your games. Sony pls.

i was never a fan of moterstorm so will only play free version of drive club. For those bashing forza for looking like cartoon must never seen forza before seeing they have always looked like that. With that said ZERO racing game matches up to the quality of G.T. 

i for one enjoy more color in my games and not a fan of that drive club footage.

so you are saying sony games are always amazing? if ms made drive club and sony made forza you would say forza was amazing and drive club was garbage. :D/

 
What I seen was a boring looking game on the left and another boring looking game on the right....

Im pretty sure hes saying that based on the comparison video, you knew people were going to question you since Drive club clearly looks better than the other.

But yes, I guess he really meant to say that clearly Drive club looks better because its a PS4 game and FH2 looks like crap because its an Xbox One game.

it clearly looks better is a opinion but on this thread if it's not pro drive club that opinion is bashed. Some people do enjoy cartoon look to games compared to realistic stuff like g.t/drive club.

I mean, someone can say the sky is brown and thats fine since its like, their opinion man. Doesn't mean people have to agree with it.

But really, first he said drive club looked to "bright" then said it looked to "dull". That doesn't really make sense.

I'm with you, last racing game I really enjoyed was Burnout 3 and even that game I didn't finish. I am tempted to grab Forza Horizon on the 360 if it goes for like $5 just so I can see what all the hype is about. I'll also try Drive Club on PS+ but really doubt I'll buy the full game.

I said it looked too bright because I couldn't really describe it at the time. My original point was that everything looked grey. In some games when the brightness is turned up it washes out the colors to me because everything looks so bright it starts to look grey. "Too bright" and "Dull" can mean the same thing in some form. For my TV at least when I turn the brightness all the way up (The P.T demo for instance) the colors start to wash out and look dull because it's too bright.

But no Timbo missed the statement. I imagine what Pliskin meant was I should have expected the Sony defense force would start bashing me on a Sony forum if I said I preferred a Microsoft game. While I didn't expect people to agree with me it's simply rude and unnecessary to go bashing and hating on somebody because their opinion isn't the same as yours.

Seriously, guys? Even if that was the case, who freaking cares? If you feel yourself being attacked unjustly or too often, then why even bother posting? It's silly. If it's happening frequently already then why fool yourself into thinking it isn't going to continue to happen?

And it goes both ways, if you think someone is trolling or constantly defending something everyone else disagrees with, what's the use in continuing to argue?

This, for me it had nothing to do with him thinking Forza looked better, it was his reasoning that had me rollin. Sorry I wasn't clear on that, Kazeno. :p

 
Makes sense. They probably don't want people to let their friends play their games while that person goes to work/school/sleep.

Some of this certainly dampens the enthusiasm I had for Share Play, but it's not all bad news. Yoshida said the feature works with all PS4 games without any effort on the part of developers. Additionally, save games are tied to the player's account, allowing you to try a friend's game, buy it, and then pick up from where you left off.

This part surprised me. I thought it was only for limited games, this certainly makes it sound more enticing.  :bouncy:

Surprised me too. The PS3 had many features like custom soundtracks that were limited to certain games where the developers took the time to allow it. The fact that this will work with every PS4 game is pretty big.

Share Play could be a killer feature for the PS4. Excited to see where it goes.
