I was surprised how enjoyable I found this to be. I expected it was going to be something I would have to trudge through to unlock something in Hundred Heroes but once I started to play a bit it became one of those games where I always found myself saying "I'll do this ONE last thing and then shut it off" and end up playing for another hour.
Just as a heads up "Rising" and "Chronicles" are designed differently (for better or worse)...

Hundred Heroes is designed as a sprawling role-playing game with turn-based combat and a large number of companion characters, Rising is intended to be a smaller project in scale, with its key features being fast-paced combat, town-building mechanics and 2.5D platforming.

I am aware of that which is why I did not expect to enjoy RIsing. It looked more side scroller action which isnt usually my thing. I was (am) a huge fan of the Suikoden series (the first three at least) so was looking forward to HH since I heard about it.

Games leaving PS Plus Extra and Premium in March (should be March 19th):
  • Civilization VI (PS4)
  • Tchia (PS5, PS4)
  • Ghostwire: Tokyo (PS5)
  • NEO: The World Ends With You (PS4)
  • Haven (PS5, PS4)
  • Code Vein (PS4)
  • Outer Wilds (PS5, PS4)

This will be a bummer seeing as I bought the slim a couple months ago unless the slim doesn't get a price cut and the PS5 Pro is $600. What is more likely to happen is that this will be $500 and the slim will be discounted. Does it go down to $400 and the digital go down to $300? Maybe $450 and the digital to $400?

No this is one I haven't played yet that I thought wouldn't leave the service. Oh well guess I will buy it digital on sale in the future.
I'm not going to get to this buy March 19th.

Luckily Tchia goes on sale pretty often and is currently on sale for 50% off.

I'll be playing through Tchia. The main story is apparently only 7 hours long but the platinum will probably take three times as long.

Was really hoping to playthrough Marvels Midnight Suns this month but seems like something always comes up which sucks since I actually bought the game. 😅 Hopefully I should get to it next. The rest of the games leaving PS Plus next month are all pretty good as well which I either already played or already own.

Midnight Suns is fantastic. I really loved that game.

I'm going to need Tchia to be about $10 before I buy it. I may try and fit it in before it leaves Extra.

Midnight Suns is hopefully up next for me. I'm almost done with Tiny Tina and Sea of Stars. I had to convince myself to go back to Sea of Stars (stopped to play Spiderman 2) instead of just going to Midnight Suns. I'm glad I did, but trying to remember how to get places and what I was doing has been a little rough.

I'll be honest: wasn't even on my radar until seeing it was on PC and how much it reminds me of Planetside sans the PvP. I'm hooked on Enshrouded for now, but this looks like an eventual pickup. May be sooner than later considering it's just a month and change to Dragon's Dogma 2 now.
Looked into Helldivers over the weekend and seems the server issues are unresolved so lost sale for now. Really sucks and I bet that $10b in stocks is stinging right now with the specter of Jim Ryan haunting them. Should've listened to Shawn, Sony.

I seriously need them to bring Tales of Destiny 2 (PS1) to PSN. I legit would not care if it were $50 instead of $10-20. Wouldn't even have to be visually upgraded. I wanted to buy that game 20 years ago and could never find it in stock and now the aftermarket price just makes me cry.

I have an XBSX and have not played any of those games. After my game pass trial ran out I never renewed. Plus I still have enough 360 & XBO games in the backlog. Maybe these can be elevated with the dualsense's features. The controller alone is why I get my multiplats on PS5.

HiFi Rush looks like something I'd like but I don't know about the rhythm gameplay. Wish they would release a demo for it when it comes out but most likely won't

Or the tales of hearts on vita to ps5. I can play it on vita but for someone reason im never motivated to play the vita. Hell I'm not motivated to play anything these days

I started playing Resistance Retribution. Very disappointed that they didn't update the graphics or even the controls. It really is a PSP game just playing on a PS5. It's mind bottling that Sony hasn't put a Resistance collection on a PS5 and remastered all the games but if this is the only way to play Resistance Retribution on my ps5, I'll take it!

I mean thats how all the old classics are from whatever system before ps4. They keep there original data with no updated anything just plain native.

A batch of new PSVR2 announcements in the blog post along with this bit of news:
Also, we’re pleased to share that we are currently testing the ability for PS VR2 players to access additional games on PC to offer even more game variety in addition to the PS VR2 titles available through PS5. We hope to make this support available in 2024, so stay tuned for more updates.

I'm streaming some Pacific Drive if you want to see it in action.

Edit: Here's the archive. It's a very cool, spooky driving game about exploring this exclusion zone that's been boarded off by the government in a station wagon that you craft upgrades and repair as you explore more of it to see what weird stuff can happen. I really enjoy the driving and the exploration aspects of it, which gives it some good vibes in these weird, spooky zones that I'm trying to get through.

I seriously don't understand why hearts R hasn't been ported. It sold so badly in jpn especially. Making it multiplat would easily move a crapload of copies by comparison. And given that they did a psvita TV version it could easily handle switch and ps4 minimum.

Speaking of demos, that the land beneath us gameplay is good but its the pixelated mesh that I have a problem with. IDK about y'all but I get real bad eye strain on pixel stuff like that. Goods games but not worth the eye strain.

Edit: Played unicorn demo, its good. The video trailers made it seem complicated well the ones I seen. I wonder how it would be if only the battle sequence wasnt auto but manual either TB or dragon crown style.

Like A Dragon Infinite Wealth is down to $40 on Amazon at the moment. I’m tempted, but I think I’m going to hold off so I actually play Midnight Suns.
I used to buy all Yakuza games on release, but the prices just drop like flies after release. We saw it with Ishin (bought on release and just played a bit here) and with this one. Heck even the digital Man Who Erased His Name dropped pretty well in a sale. These are good quality games though although I'm very behind on the series now (at least 5 games now).
