Difference between "worth" and... well, let's just say that they race to the bottom so quickly that no matter how good the game is, paying full price is a sucker move. Doesn't matter if it's worth 60 if it's gonna be 20 in a matter of weeks after release anyway.
Definitely paying full price is for sucker's if it's going to drop 20 typically within a month.

There are many game publishers where buying early and not playing early are for suckers. They of course include Ubisoft (doesn't usually drop to $20 in a few weeks...but 30-40% off within a month or two...very possible), Sega/Atlus (Look at Metaphor/Shadow new game and see how they dropped within like a month of release), and there is more but I can't think of them at the top of my head. The waiting game is generally a smart game to play nowadays unless it's a first party Nintendo game, as months seem to almost equal years in consumer's heads now, so every month after a game release it just becomes more and more distant in a general consumer's mind and has a higher chance of price drops to get more sales.

Fenyx I don't recall dropping quick. It held its price for a while actually. Which is one of the other reasons why I thought it was odd they canceled making a sequel.
Immortals came out December 2nd 2020 and I found a reddit thread of it being half price on December 29th 2020. Also looking at digital price charting and it was discounted $20 on December 17th 2020 on the Ubisoft store and epic store.

Yep I got it for $30 on PS5 the month it came out. Don't know what that guy is talking about. It dropped to 20 physically like a month after that.

I had a noobie attempt to process a return today. The delivery date for the new game was on Jan 1 and he told the system wouldn't allow it. This didn't make sense since it hasn't been passed the return date and the game is still unopened.

I got a ASM in store to help me out with the return and she was able to process it, thankfully.

A couple of weeks ago I went to Target to return Spider-man 2 at Target. I bought it mail order but later decided I wanted it digitally. It was on sale for he same price. I never open it. Guy in front of me and his son tried to return I think Dead Island 2 complete edition. Not sure if it was opened or not. It was $99 plus tax whatever it was. The young woman wasn't sure how to process it. The young guy said you can't return video games due to copyright laws.

Figured I was in for some BS. He tried the same thing with me. I was like if isn't opened it can be returned. Mine is still sealed. He scanned it and started the process but stopped. Looked like the POS was allowing it. I had started the return online and printed out the page that said it was returnable until late February. He finished the return with no further issue. The other guy and his son had already left.

certain locations have idiots working. I complained about it and insist on the manager coming out to override it. even the manager is dumb. she had the return cashier gut open the game to check and issue me a return merchandise credit in the form of the a gift card instead of putting back on my credit card.

There's a 5-hour Premium trial for Metaphor: ReFantazio and 2-hour trials for Despot's Game and Undisputed. Metaphor has a demo where the save file carries over into the full game, so play that first. Both the demo and full game had streaming options, so you don't even need to download them.

I have to say I'm really impressed with the Premium trials since they let you play almost-new releases for free. 7-10 hours is plenty to tide me over until the game hits bargain bins or until I lose interest in the game. It definitely cuts down on buyer's remorse when you play a highly reviewed game and know that you wouldn't want to pay much for it.

Certain types of people don't understand why you (a person) still games on Playstation.

Lunar-PS4-cover-mockup.jpg

This is why.

Other companies don't do THIS. and it's several times per year.

I think it sounds silly, but both Lunar games actually feel like a true journey. Some RPGs feel like you're just doing a little part or just aren't as grand. Both games had very unique and good characters and story. The combat is decent as well as the graphics, but both felt a bit dated even at release and by the time the PSX releases were out, it felt really dated. Still both are worth experiencing and I haven't played either in about 15+ years, so it will be nice to play them again.

Flashbacks to that time someone on Twitter posted photos of Kojima's farewell party from Konami, and then Konami put out a statement saying he was just on vacation and denied knowing anything about the party.. lol

Yes! I finally get to play Ragnarok! I own God of war but I just knew the sequel would come to PlayStation Premium if I was patient. Playing it the day it is on the service for sure!

Ha, Sony really doing a “we’ve got Indiana Jones at home” adding Staff of Kings. I’ve got both PS2 and Wii versions sitting unopened on my shelf, so I think I’ll take this opportunity to finally play it.

Played a bunch of those on GamePass, including Like a Dragon, Atlas Fallen, Citizen Sleeper (sequel will be on GP this month). And have had God of War since launch so not a lot for me in there.

But interested in checking out the Indy game and Medievel 2 at least.

Blood Omen 2 and Blood Omen are on sale so I will probably pick those up since I do not have PS Premium

Also looking at Crypt Custodian which I have heard good things about.

Sweet! Didn’t know Blood Omen was on there. Got it for free for having the ps3/vita version.

That is a PS2, the greatest console of all
can't argue with that.

PS2 era was the most satisfying. It felt like probably the biggest technical leap forward, and natural evolution, from everything that was happening prior. It was simple OS, and straight forward game deployment. and before all the rampant patch downloading.

It was also the first time you could connect online and play other people through multiplayer matchmaking for certain games.
