Did the anniversary slim ps5 ever go live on Amazon? I haven’t fully been following, I know all the other places went live on the 10th but did Amazon?

Castlevania: Dominus Collection $5 off ($24.99 -> $19.99)

Strongly considering it 🤔 was hoping for a steeper discount.. but looking at the price history of Castlevania Advance Collection, if it follows a similar sale timeline, it probably won't go lower until early next summer, and then still won't hit 50% off until about a year from now.

I want it but I think I want it on switch. portable metroidvanias just feel so right lol.

I did the same. Everything I've ever ordered from Walmart I've received on release day or earlier.
Same, in fact everything I order to be shipped I get delivered to me from the local store usually the next day. I do not even have WalMart+ which means I do not even have to tip the delivery person!

FYI if anyone has Sony Rewards points. It appears they fixed the site and you check check out and pay the difference for GCs if you don’t have enough points. I know earlier people said they needed manual intervention to get orders in this way,

Guess they got tired of people bothering CS, I used the few points I had and got a GC discounted.

When I called customer service to redeem the last of my Sony Rewards, they bumped my points up to get $5 PSN. If they've reverted to 'allowing' customers to pay the difference, it ends the free point bumps...

Where did you see this option?

I have 415 points and when I try to add a 500 point $5 PSN gift card to my cart, an error message still comes up that says "You must have at least 500 points to redeem for this reward."

Does Ghost of Tsushima Director's Cut ever go on sale for around $20 on PSN or close to there? I feel like I have been looking for a sale forever but either I missed it or it never happens.

According to dekudeals, Ghost of Tsushima Director's Cut goes on sale quite often and should be due for a sale soon. The PS4 version goes for $20 while the PS5 version goes for $30. It's also available on PS+

FYI- because I didn't see a way that I could pay the difference of my points shortage, I just finished live chatting with them on their website. After resisting for awhile, the rep added 85 points to my account so I could get the 500 point $5 gift card.

My previous attempt to email them about this resulted in them shooting me down, so I'm glad they agreed to help me out via chat today.

I got an email that yes the Sony Rewards Program is ending, but the points will transfer to the new credit card company rewards program (Comenity) so I do not understand this rush to use up all the points. I can't find anything worthwhile to sepnd my points on so I will jsut wait for the change.

Seems like that Siren release is not a PS2 game emulated, but the PS4 remaster with all of the PS2 emulator bells and whistles in it. Might also be a free upgrade for the PS5 version if you owned the original PS4 version. That would maybe explain why it's 26 GB.
Siren for PS5 is showing free for me, I have the PS4 version.

I saw an explanation that says it includes all the regional versions (5 PAL versions, NTSC US and NTSC Japan).

granblue fantasy versus free edition kool
Wish the free to play version at least let you play online without ps+ considering its free to play but of course its not that type of free to play. Also I noticed games arent getting cheaper these days. Most games if waited years for still isnt $20 yet like WTF

and most digital-only systems are experiencing greatly diminished growth and new users, and overall brand recognition or relevance.

It's hilarious looking around and realizing that no one (company) is learning anything from the blatantly obvious Xbox console case study that is unfolding in real time right before our very eyes. That's how you get to a place where no one spends money on retail releases of new games anymore.

I keep arriving back to one main point: God I can't wait until the Switch 2 launches. It's going to check the other console makers so hard.

We're going to eventually arrive at a point in time when nobody buys any new games except for on one main system that is the most consumer-friendly, forward-thinking, and rights-oriented than the rest. By then it will be all too late for entire rest of the competition. If anyone wants to do digital-only, you can do it on Steam and PC with more assurance and fewer restrictions. cheaper Gamepass Ultimate.

I also think that other companies have taken how severely companies like Ubisoft have devalued their own projects by constantly and quickly dropping their prices until it's basically $10-15 for a year old game. They're seeing the effects that has. Gamers don't buy those games anywhere near day 1 and now Ubisoft is hurting severely for it (among other reasons). Meanwhile Nintendo among others really don't let their prices drop below certain points and only go on sale at all after quite a while. Keeps brand value higher and generally I think does encourage more sales because folks know the price won't drop for a while and eventually it might but still won't get that cheap. Might deter some, but those who are interested will buy (again I think). At l ast that makes sense to me.

I still buy games day 1, the ones that are must haves (Dragon Age for example), but as stated above, I am tired of Ubi discounting their games to $20 after being out only a few short months. I figure Star Wars Outlaws will be at that price come Black Friday.

To me though Nintendo is an anomally. Yes, they rarely discount their games, but other than their 1st part games name a game you want on the Switch you can't get somewhere eles and in "better" quality?

Granted, I am still waiting for Tropical Freeze to drop to a low enough price that I buy it (and that's an old game at this point), but since I got the steam deck I haven't turned on my Switch (other than lunch incentive for my students...yep I am that teacher:LOL: ).

It depends. Ys 8 , trails to Azure and from zero as examples are all superior versions on that platform compared to the Sony versions.

Ys 8 is 4K 60 on PS4 & 120 FPS with all DLC on disc on PS5. Curious on how the Switch version was superior? Did it have exclusive content or something?

Ys 8 also runs worse on ps4 and has a worse translation. Unless that's been fixed. Ps5 version I have no experience with since I have no reason to pick it up again. I should have been specific to vita and ps4 versions so my error. But I would hope that it's newest port 6 years after it originally released on a new console would run better.

I wasn't aware that they are supposedly doing another port with a new party member for phones.

Funny though that'd you mentioned the dlc being on disc for the ps5 version but not mention it was on cart for the switch version as well.

BTW why didn't you say anything about the vita version?

Anyway the only other difference I remember off hand would be the true ending points required are different between each version of it for whatever reason.

For those who care, the PS5 version of Minecraft was available to me a little bit ago. I couldn't find it on the store page, but I had the PS4 version installed so it had a PS5 upgrade tile.

Minecraft for PS5 is out now:

The Switch version of Ys 8 maxes out at 30 fps and it still has drops. Apparently its 1080p 60 on PS4 and 4k 60 on PS4 Pro. That isn't worse. Sorry I don't have any experience with the Vita version.

I figured you were comparing versions on consoles that aren't dead. I think comparing the PS5 version to the Switch version is fair if you're comparing the Vita version to the Switch. That's just the first time I ever heard the Switch version was superior. Was genuinely curious on how. To the Vita version for sure.

I have the Switch and PS5 versions, but just did a Google search to see how the PS4 version compared. I dropped the switch version eventually and restarted on PS5. I did forget about the DLC on switch. That's my bad. Never heard about the translation issue. That's something to look into if it hasn't been fixed.

Minecraft on PS5 has a new trophy list and I guess you have to start a new save to get trophies? I went into the save I've had since the PS4 version launched where I'm building a very long minecart bridge across the world and nothing popped while adding to the bridge.

Ys VIII runs at 60fps on PS4 and was patched for the translation part. PS5 runs at 4k 60fps or 1080p 120fps.

Azure and Zero are worse on PS4 though compared to switch and PC.

? For you guys, should I force myself to play the games I bought on sale over the decade. Even though I don't wanna play them and moved on.
For me, games are primarily ways to relax from actual work and stressful things. I'd say don't stress over it and play what you want. Just just chalk it up as a lesson learned regarding future purchases.

While I agree it's better to move onto games you actually want to play, I've always liked the idea of spending like at least an hour on some of your backlog, just to get actual closure on whether or not you're actually going to ever play it.

Now some games of course take longer to get their hooks into you (like JRPGs...), but better than nothing. Oftentimes I've realized the biggest barrier to getting into a game is just simply finding the time to actually start it up.
