PriceGrabber $5 Rebate Topic w/ Lists Of Eligible Games (Updated 3/2)

I think this was brought up before - but I have some forms that have a Young America address and the newer ones go to El Paso. Am I supposed to send to the each respective address or is one not used anymore?

Oh crap, have they switched it AGAIN!?!? I just got used to Young America after the switch from Mesa. All mine say Young America - wait, except for that Strikers one I just got on the 25th. Let's see, my last one before that was on the 6th of July and that was Young America. So it looks like they switched mid-month. Bastards. I just sent a pack in today for my 5 for July - to Young America, of course...

I would assume you could send them all to El Paso. The ones to Young America will probably just get forwarded there.
 
I totally forgot that it was originally to Mesa, then it got switched to Young america until I did a search and saw those old posts. All I remembered was that there were posts talking about an address change.

It looks like it's to El Paso then.
 
How did it work last time? Did people send them to Mesa after the change to Young America and still get them processed correctly?

io pretty much documented his experience from last time on page 7. There's delay in processing them, but it looks like they do get forwarded to their new address.

summary: io sent some to Mesa, there was some delay so he resubmitted them to Young America, shortly after he sees both sets up for processing on the website. However one set is considered a duplicate and only one set of checks is sent out.

So July may be fine but anything for August probably should be sent to the new address.

Thanks for summarizing my post - good thing I wrote all that out back then 'cause I don't really remember it too clearly at this point :lol:. But yeah, I guess I did the same thing I just did now - sent them to the old address a few weeks after the change (except this time I didn't even know the address had changed when I mailed stuff - last time I chose the older one on purpose as I had both on the forms I was sending in - hey, I guess I do remember ;)).

Oh yeah - that whole duplicate thing :bomb:. They told me all the rebates for that month had been processed and mine weren't among them so I should resubmit. A few days after I resubmit the originals show up :roll:. Then I get denied like some cheater ("one rebate per form!").

I guess this time I'll give it more time. My problem now is I still have some from late June that haven't showed up yet!
 
God I'm SO mad. Puzzle Quest for DS is on there now..and I had bought the game awhile back.. (can't find that reciept)..and for the longest time I was checking to see if it ever got added..NOW it is!! :(

It's been there for a while now - it has been on my watch list and I haven't grabbed it yet because it was surprisingly unutilized. I figured every CAG bought Puzzle Quest and would snag it - guess I was wrong. I'll probably request it tomorrow though.
 
I guess I will send to the Young America address, but make additional copies of everything for convenience in case I have to resubmit.
 
Damnit, I let three PGR lapse and today's the postmark date. There's no way I'll have it postmarked at the PO in 40 minutes before they close.

I have two left that I can't let lapse...unfortunately for me, the three that lapsed are games I love and have played. The other two I havent played yet but I want to make sure I get the rebate...
 
I noticed the address change just now too. I am contemplating whether I should send my July rebates to the Minnesota address or the Texas address. It doesn't seem like there is a consensus on this yet - so maybe we should all just go by the address on our respective forms?
 
I mailed mine to Texas... if they're expecting rebates requested after the change to go there, they'll accept old rebates as well.
 
Those fuckers actually sent me a "Your submission did not include a UPC" postcard. :wall: How dare they pull that crap with me. :bomb:

I'm currently scanning all five UPC's in question to Acrobat (joys of a networked MFC) and will be emailing all five UPC's very shortly.

I think I'm going to re-get all of my current rebate forms, for August - October, so they have the new address. :bomb:

But if all else fails, they won't object to cdcovers.cc or thecoverproject.net fascimiles.
 
What a royal PITA it's going to be finding $5 rebates for people that have a to get list. I just realized that I almost forgot to get my 5th rebate that I was saving for July and had to manually browse to find the rebate for Super Monkey Ball 2 since you can't see them now by searching.

I use the Pricegrabber "List" function to keep track of games for which I want to get the bonus. As I request the bonus form, I remove from the list, as I find new games with bonuses, I add them to the list. Of course, since the bonus form doesn't show up now on the product details page, I still have to search for them by typing in the name and the selecting the platform - not as convenient as just clicking on the product on my list.

And I use a spreadsheet to keep track of all the bonus forms that I have requested, submitted, reviewed and received.

We'll see how this works out. I think I'll be waiting till the end of the month again to do requests after I figure out what I'm getting and what looks to be in-demand on PG.

Yea, you almost have to you less search words then you would normally - I searched on Burnout 3 and then clicked PS2 games and it brought up the product detail page w/o the rebate showing. Show I searched on Burnout only and got multiple hits on the PS2 page and was able to select the rebate.

I can't imagine this is how they are going to leave it. I think either it's a glitch that will be fixed or they are removing rebates and haven't completed it yet. I remember a few cases when rebates were removed from a game, but they could be accessed through the search function - Pokemon Diamond comes to mind.

Personally, I think you are taking a risk by waiting until the end of the month - they might not be there when you go to grab them. (Of course, I might be overly paranoid.)

Yeah I think it's best to get your rebates early in the month and maybe leave one or two spots open incase you end up buying a game during the month that has a rebate that may not last long. I grabbed 3 rebates today for Augest some of the games showed $5 rebates when I searched and some didn't but if I manually browsed for them they had a $5 rebate. I wonder if the product detail page never showing the rebates now is a glitch.

I actually noticed today that Mario Power Tennis on the GBA has a rebate which I didn't notice a few months ago when I got it as I did a seach for it and it didn't show a rebate when searching but noticed one today as I was browsing the GBA games.

What remote?

Do a search at www.pricegrabber.com.

As far as what you need, it's usually a copy of the UPC, a copy of the receipt and the form. You also have to write a review. It's all spelled out on the form.
 
So I got 2 of the 5 checks that were mailed July 26th 2 days ago and then no more came today. They have almost always come at the same time, or at worst, a day apart.

Has anyone ever had to deal with lost checks from PG? How do they handle that? It seems almost inevitable with the little postcard-sized checks that are visible to everyone that some would be lost/stolen. My mailbox is secure so they weren't take after delivery, in any case. But they could easily get stuck to other mail and delivered to the wrong place. Most people would probably just toss them as they look like junk fake checks that advertizers send out all the time.

There is. I picked one up when I got my PS3, so it's not that there's no rebate. It's either just hard to find or the stock is gone.

I got one of the five rebates I'm expecting and since I still have the last straggler that came from the last round, I'm hoping I get the other four so I only have to make one trip to cash these checks. I think the emails about these being sent out came at slightly different times (1 early in the day and the other four in the afternoon), so I'm hoping that means the other four should be in one group.
 
All 5 of my emails were sent within the same minute, yet only 2 checks arrived so far (2 days ago). Certainly I'll give it some more time, but if they don't show by Monday or Tuesday I guess I'll have to go pester PG customer service... Blah...

I just cashed 7 (hadn't deposited the 5 from last month yet). Hopefully three more will arrive soon.
 
Hey I'm new to this. What's a good way to send 5 forms? Can all 5 pages be put in 1 envelope or do I have to seperate each one?

EDIT: Nvm just read the OP...but will one stamp be sufficient for all 5 forms?

Got one check on Saturday - and it was kind of mangled (but should be cashable ;)). So, despite the 5 simultaneous emails, I've gotten 2 checks Thursday, 1 Saturday, and 2 still in limbo... But it seems common with this batch so I won't worry yet. However, nearly every month before I've gotten all 5 at once so this is unusual.
 
I had no idea about this site, only heard people speak of it briefly.
Even cooler knowing that I can buy the games from anywhere for even a cheap price and still get the 5 dollar rebates.

Why not just go get it scanned youself? A library should have a scanner that's cheap to use.
 
What's the word on the whole changed address thing? 4 of my 5 have one address, and the last one is different. Can I just put them all in one envelope anyways and mail to the newest address (which is the newest btw?)
