PriceGrabber $5 Rebate Topic w/ Lists Of Eligible Games (Updated 3/2)

Odin Sphere has a $5 rebate... I suggest grabbing it now if you're interested.

How long does it take Pricegrabber to acknowledge they have these? They received my rebates almost a week ago (checked with DC) yet they claim they haven't gotten them?

What, you're new at this? :lol:

It generally takes WAY more than a week - sometimes up to 4 or 5 before they even show up on the web search. Then email acknowledgements usually follow 1-3 weeks after that ;)

If you printed out with paypal, then Dc is automatic.
If you buy at the PO, there is supposed to be a thickness requirement - they shouldnt let you buy DC on a normal sized letter.
 
I went to a local place to get a set of rebates copied for mailing and it was a lot more entertaining than I thought it would be. I did three games+receipts and Madden 07 (Wii) was up next, I set it up and hit the copy button and get a misfeed message. I alert the guy running the place and he find the jammed piece of paper, which he mentions that he's surprised it jammed on just one copy. He tells me to use the next machine, which also misfeeds on the first try with Madden 07. :lol: I let the guy know that the second copier misfed, too, and he pulls out the jammed paper and sets up first machine again, which works perfectly and I finish with the last copy.

Now I just need to get some $0.02 stamps at the post office, which I'll probably do tomorrow and send these rebates off. I noticed that there's a bunch of rebates I'm eligible to get once I find the receipts for them. At least enough for another month or so of rebates. It's too bad the Loco Roco and Guitar Hero II w/guitar rebates are gone already, though I'm not sure how I'd get that UPC for the big guitar hero box to a copier place and not look like an idiot. :lol:
 
i have 3 rebates received by them at the end of march. they've been in the processing stage ever since then. weird thing is i've received my april rebates but not these march ones.

anyone know if there's an email address or number i can call to check up on these rebates?

I'm in the exact same boat. My 5 April submissions had checks cut and cashed but my 5 from March are stuck in the "processing period" and are still that way as of yesterday. I used the email address a couple weeks ago and they confirmed they're still processing the last batch from March. They said processing can take 8-12 weeks so I'll wait it out a bit more before contacting them again.

I used Paypal, and I sent it in a large padded envelope, the same ones I use to ship guides... it actually came out to weigh almost the same as a small guide.

Actually my March submissions - received by PriceGrabber on 4/5/07 - have been sent, received and cashed already. I'm just waiting on my April submissions received by PriceGrabber on 5/4/07 and currently in the "Required Service Period"
 
Two emails about "delayed" rebates, a week apart, and they finally respond. :roll; They throw me a line of crap about "missing" reviews, when I check my PG account and it shows them there. :whistle2:s

fucking geniuses.

I went back to the page, and unsurprisingly, my review info is still in my cache from the last time I was there. :wall: I resubmitted the reviews, as well as sending them screen caps of my PG account entries that show the "missing" reviews being previously submitted.

Do you write the reviews before or after you submit the rebates? I've noticed that they'll check for the reviews even before they post that they've received your submission, so if you don't have the review written before they get the envelope, they might mark it as review missing. Happened to me a couple times now.

On another note, these guys need to step up the speed here. I've got February (C/S resubmit), March, April, and soon to be May, all sitting in the required service period. Grrrrrrrr... need spending money.

I'm not, I've been through multiple rebate programs and I know that it takes time, things get stuck. As I mentioned, I'll be waiting a few more weeks before I bug them again. PG has been pretty good about rebates so I don't worry. Better late than never.

To Warner: I post my reviews a few days before mailing.

They explained this issue on the second email they sent me, though what doesn't make any sense is why they didn't update the information on the website about the "missing" reviews. The ones from January were sitting in "Required Service Period" for almost four months without any change in status. Even a change to "rejected" or "missing review" would be more than they did. :roll:

I'm going to do all fifteen reviews I have for May, June and July this weekend, so this shit will be done in advance for them, and they can go fuck off.

Shrike - interesting to know "Required service period" includes when they think you don't have reviews done. In that case, I'll give 'em another few weeks on my March submissions and then ask about them as well.

Sorry, my mistake - but it reinforces that we are all in the same situation, actually. I also got and cashed my 4/5/07 rec'd rebates. It is the FEBRUARY ones that are still processing - rec'd 3/13 by PG.
 
Finished my copying for the last of my submissions, all 14 of them, so I'm covered for the next few months besides just reviewing them. I just need to get some 2 cent stamps to go with my 39 cent stamps. Do I need to wait 30 days to mail a set of 5 each month?

I'm sure they'll say the same thing about your pending reviews, that the rebates need to be done before they're sent in. :roll:
 
anyone happen to know where i can get upc scans of GRAW2 360 and mega man x collection GCube? i dont have my games anymore since i gave them away
 
I just mailed my May forms today. I just found out that the post office now charges more for large envelopes (9x12). It's $0.80 for the 1st ounce versus $0.41 for a regular sized envelope. Just FYI - you might want to stuff your 5 forms into a regular envelope to save $0.39... well this is cheap ass gamer and 39 cents is 39 cents...

9"x6" envelopes work like a charm too. Postage is only $0.58.

What was the received date on yours? I got a few that show received 5/24. I know I didn't do the reviews until 5/25 or 5/26, so we'll see how that goes :lol:. Of course, only 2 of the 5 I sent in are showing up (strangely enough, 1 from a pack of 3 and 1 from a pack of 2 - mailed on different dates) The others are probably mispelled and I won't find that out until I get acknowledgement emails. But they are not sending the checks on those 2 - they are in the "Processing" stage so there's still a chance for errors.

Pooky - my 3/13 and 5/02 ones are still processing as well. The only difference is that the 3/13 ones, in my case, were my February submissions (mailed before the end of Feb). My March submissions were received 4/05 and those were paid out almost immediately. So as of right now PG owes me $75...
 
GRRR I already downloaded the Mortal Kombat Armageddon (Wii) rebate..WHERE'S MARIO PARTY 8 since I have them on the same reciept?! GRRR!! c'mon!

Just got Rumble Roses XX yesterday from PrizeRebel..they shipped from Amazon...so I got a reciept..and oh look, it has a rebate :D

Wasn't the MP8 one up in January or so and then pulled pretty quickly? Ie, I don't think it got it's 50 form allotment used up, I think they just decided it shouldn't be up there as the game wasn't near being out yet. In any case, I don't think anyone could take advantage of it because any forms grabbed then would be expired by now. I know I didn't grab it because of that (wanted the chance to get one when I could actually turn it in on time).

So, anyway, I think there is a chance they "do it for real" on MP8 at some point.

I spent 30 minutes digging through various boxes looking for my Battlefield 2 and SimCity Deluxe receipts. I guess I tossed them last year. Like mamma always said: keep the receipts!

There goes 10 easy bucks.

Same here. Looks like May's submittals were running a bit late putting them into the "received" status.

Still waiting for my March submittals to get out of the "required service period" status.
 
After a long and painful absence, the rebate for Mario Party 8 has returned. Also, RE4: Wii has a rebate.

PSA: For the benefit of all involved, please only request rebates for games that you have purchased. Let's try to keep the number of wasted rebates to a minimum (for those who request some with the idea of purchasing and do not within 3 months - I've been guilty of this). And as always, no reviews until you submit your rebate - give everybody time for the fun (though I'm seeing now two items at least - Mega Man ZX and Hotel Dusk - that have 10+ reviews and still have rebates available)!

Sweet, thanks! I knew it would come back. I'm glad I saved 2 spots this month as I just had a hunch. Now, I probably won't get the RE4 one as I don't see buying that in the next 3 months, but hopefully when I do get it I'll have saved more than $5 anyway ;).

I'll have to poke around the rest of the systems to see if there's anything new for my last slot.

Good, I got RE4 pre-ordered. Now, they just need to get Big Brain Academy Wii Degree up, and all will be great :)
 
Also, all the new 360 games are up - Forza 2, Shadowrun, even Call of Juarez. Too bad I won't be buying any of these till they are sub-$20, if at all. I actually DON'T like this new habit of PG putting rebates up as soon as games come out. By the time these games get cheap enough, the rebates will be gone :cry:.
 
I snagged RE4 as GCO gave me another $20 checkout bonus (attempting to make up for screwing with my MP8 order that I got elsewhere), so RE4 for $8.99 shipped from Buy.com for me!

Damn, that's nice. I'd buy it for that ;). I wish they had screwed up my MP8 order. I got it a week ago at Gamecrazy and I still have one coming from the TRU/GCO thing.
 
When sending in multiple rebates, can I cut the bottom half of the bonus form off, so all I'm sending is just the part with the name, address, etc. details (And the UPC's and Receipts)?
Edit: Also, should I staple the UPC and Receipt to the bonus form, and should I label which game each UPC is for?
