PriceGrabber $5 Rebate Topic w/ Lists Of Eligible Games (Updated 3/2)

Well, that's not too bad, I got a response from PG today saying my 4 rebates have been "identified as valid" and I should see a change in the online status at some point (still showing the error as of now though).

Anyway, just thought I should mention the Zelda Phantom Hourglass rebate is up (and has been for a while - apparently I got it on the 26th of Sept and completely forgot about that as I tried to get it again last night :lol:). I don't expect that one to last too long.

Same here (9/13). Although in my experience, they would have been posted by now. I won't panic for another week or so.
 
had 2 denied for the reason of Only 5 a month.
Had to email and get them fixed. Only send in packages of 5 each, so wouldnt be possible ;p

I'm not sure which alternative universe Pricegrabber you've been dealing with but in no way would I expect them posted after only 2-3 weeks (occasionally they are that quick - but I wouldn't say on average they are). My August 30th submissions were posted beginning of this month, which, while towards the longer end of the time period are not unusual. A few months back some took over 8 weeks to show up (just on the web site - email notificaton and checks took even longer).

Pookymeister - I think it must be that the new person (in El Paso) is having "issues". I did the same as you - 5 submissions in one envelope sent in almost exactly 30 days after my last set (so there's little chance of mixing up, for example, late July/early Aug submissions). I had 4 rejected but they claim to have fixed it. For whatever reason the rebate tracker takes a long time to update (or so their email says and it still hasn't changed). Please let me know what they tell you (and if they fix it, when changes show up on the rebate tracker).

IO, dunno but really no shit, since I've started submitting regularly earlier this year, more often than not, they'd be posted in about 2-3 week timeframe. I figured a week to get to the rebate center and a week or two to post. YMMV no doubt.

However, I have experienced the 4-5 week to post timeline. That time, I ended up emailing them and the next day, they posted. Might have been sheer coincidence because they said expect about 4-5 weeks which seems to be typical with most posters here. Then 4-5 weeks to mail the check. That timeframe for me has been closer to 6-7 weeks. So i guess it's being made up on the back end of the process.:lol:

EDIT 10/6: PG posted my 9/13 postmarked (rec'd 9/17) submittals so it took about 3 weeks to post.
 
Cool. Mine showed up today. Didn't know the Rebate Inquiry website existed until yesterday since it's my first time doing this. I also submitted around early September. Currently processing.
 
where can I check the Rebate Inquiry website thing? I submitted my reviews and everything early sept still havn't received anything.
 
Well, the ones I sent in the end of August finally showed up, they claim the received them 9/18 (prolly cuz I sent them to the old address), and they're in processing now, so at least they got them.
 
bummer I checked the site that shrike posted, and my submissions on early sept were never received looks like...should I submitt everything again?

It has not been long enough to worry at this point, especially with so many other people not seeing anything yet either. You can contact them and ask though. Use the contact page on PG when you look at "Your Account".

They have not changed the status of my 4/5 that they said were over the limit despite promising that via email. It just takes a while for them to update the rebate search DB for some reason - it is not a real-time look into their internal records.
 
Seems like the three I sent together at once only one was posted on the site and shit. Time to send them an e-mail.

Does anybody have the e-mail addy for the rebate section of PG?
 
Well, the one rebate that showed up from August has been approved, with no sign of the 4 that were mailed in the same envelope, so I guess I need to be calling.
 
I sent mine in the middle of September, and nothing's showing yet... I sent 5 in an envelope. At least I have a DC# to prove they've been delivered.
 
For those who have some show and some not show, wait for the confirmation emails - they may very well have mispelled your last name. Then you can use the screwed up name to search. This happened to me a few times in the past. The checks still came and cashed with no problem though. But in nearly every case when some were missing off the rebate search page this is what happened. The emails tend to come 1-2 weeks after they show up in the search page.

Snagged rebates for all of my October purchase: Zack & Wiki, Phoenix Wright, GH3, and Battalion Wars 2.

Reviewing my list of old games I'm needing rebates for, at least some are disappearing, it seems.

sent in 3 for rebates sept. 20, got rebates for all 3 this monday. so basically took me a month to get rebates-so i'm pretty pleased on the amount of time it took. i was worried cause some of the games-i brought from ebay and paid through paypal-but they accepted them. i have a question, i see pricegrabber has taken out the bonus for phantom hourglass. i still have the bonus form for the game-so would i still be able to turn it in and get the bonus?
 
Wow, I want to know who you paid to process those bonuses. I've sent in 10 in the time you sent those 3, and I've gotten one even acknowledged. :lol:
 
I received mine a couple of days ago and sent out another yesterday since I didn't intend to send it until maybe December (too bad some punk stole my PS2, rendering me incapable of finishing the game, resulting in an "incomplete" review XD). :) Will definitely be sending more more when I get further in Drawn to Life, receive my tablet from Amazon, and receive Phoenix Wright.

I printed out my form for Smash Bros Brawl like.. a month or so ago. The deadline was December 31, 2007. I would of been OK with this because it WAS coming out December 3rd.. now with it being released February 10...:whistle2:k.. what are my options? Do I e-mail them and find out, or am I (and anyone else) SOL?
 
You're probably out of luck, lilboo. They'll just tell you you shouldn't have requested the rebate before the game came out. ;)

Where have people been sending emails when asking about rebates? New forms don't have any contact info, and I can't recall where I sent issues previously. Really getting quite annoyed that once I sent out rebates tomorrow, that will be 14 pending.

There is a contact form at the bottom of the "Your Account" page. My submissions from Sept have not shown up either. It seems they may be up to date through mid-late Sept (based on posts from others here), but not VERY late Sept (I sent mine in the last day or so). If you have stuff from before that, though, I would definitely check on those. 4 of my 5 from August were hosed up (more than 5 per month according to them :roll:) but they have been re-entered as CS resubmits and I see those on the rebate search. So, anyway, when I send my next 5 tomorrow I will also have 14 pending (with only 4 of those showing any progress).

Scan and email of the missing UPC has worked in both cases of the missing UPC for me.

My issue now is making sure I have everything in order for October to January, as I've had too many damn issues scurrying around for receipts in the last couple of months. Which reminds me, I have reviews to write this evening for October's stuff.

Luckily a lot of my purchases lately are with store credit, and those receipts stay with the game.

Super, they want me to scan and resend them everything for the four they lost. I should tell them that while they protect themselves from lost/misdirected mail, it's their fault they lost four of five rebates sent with one they didn't lose.
 
Holy shit, Pam still works at PG. Got an email from her today after I told them I wasn't thrilled about having to scan and email everything again from August - she told me to just send the UPCs.

I normally copy both UPC and receipt the next day and put them in my "future submittal" pile. Then I can put the receipts away and not have to search for them when I am ready to submit.

I also have rebates through Feb with a couple slots open just in case something hot (Zelda DS) comes up and the 10 review or 50 forms pulled limit hits. It's easy to reshuffle the deck if I have to pull the form/submit in a hurry.

I plan to keep up to date from this time forward. The mad scramble for a receipt at the end of the month just got too old.

Yeah, I find it a little odd when one shows up OK and the other four don't. That's a sign someone isn't doing their job correctly. All of the missing, I can see as lost mail, four out of five, nope.

Fired off my UPCs for the missing August submissions this morning, got everything put together for this month's mailing.

Even though I doubt I'll be able to stay on top of scanning/storing receipts and UPCs as I buy stuff, I'm starting to make double copies of everything I need to make copies of, so it's easier to locate should I run into future submission issues.

Should work as a valid plan on what to do with them.
 
man this sucks my early Sept submissions were never received as nothing as showed up on the site. That was my third sumbission and 1st encounter with lost envelope or at least going to assume those submissions were lost!

Also I had a question about the submissions date where the rebate is requested if it says postmark date 10/31/2007 which is already too late do they care if its still submitted?

I tried to download a new rebate but it shows the same postmark date what's going on?

You cannot download a rebate form again - once it expires for you that is it. I would guess they would care a great deal if you sent it after the expiration date, but you might try it just to see as you can't get a new form for that game anyway. I've never tried it. If you are talking about resubmitting the ones that supposedly got lost (note: VERY little mail actually gets lost so that is unlikely) then you just need to contact them as Botticus has and they will ask you to mail or fax the UPC's and receipts again but obviously the forms don't need to have new expiration dates on them in that case. But that's what I mean about "lost" mail. His were "lost", yours were "lost" and possibly my late Sept submissions were "lost". The USPS may be slow (sometimes) and any number of other things, but they are not that unreliable. Any "loss" is happening on PriceGrabber's end.

Speaking of which, my late September rebates are still not showing up. Botticus, when you contacted them about your August ones did you ask about the Sept ones as well? Another week or two and I'll have to bug them about those myself.

I also got 3 of the 4 checks for my Customer Service resubmits (from the 4 they said were over the limit) today. It always makes me nervous when they don't come together but hopefully I'll get the 4th on Monday. They were all mailed at the same time according to the site and the missing one was from the middle of the check sequence. Oh well...
 
I didn't bother asking about my late September submissions, since they usually give me the "wait 6-8 weeks" thing, but I'm in the same boat you are. My 4 CS resubmits are on there, but nothing else.

I can confirm that USPS is not the one "losing" the rebate submissions. I've sent every envelope with delivery confirmation since the summer, and they're always received.
 
4 of my 5 Sep submission checks showed up on Friday. The one "missing" the UPC probably will show up late this coming week, or the following week.
