PriceGrabber $5 Rebate Topic w/ Lists Of Eligible Games (Updated 3/2)

Have you tried stapling your rebate form? I had organized my rebate forms with staple on 5 separate forms into 1 envelope with 2 stamps. If your receipt is more than 1 item, then you can combined 2 rebate forms into 1 staple. Instead of cutting out or photocopy of 1 UPC retangualr barcode, I actually scanned and printout the whole area from the backside of any game. Make sure you organized AND stapled your rebate form or else they'll lose some of your rebate form.

I don't think that's the problem. My rebates were all organized and stapled and they still somehow falsely reported my rebates as missing UPCs, and even screwed up the resubmissions as invalid UPCs despite my second submission.

I think they put all received rebate IDs into a random number generator up to 1000, and if a number other than a select core group of numbers appears, it will be denied.

Or, they're idiots. It seems there's somewhere in the neighborhood of a 67 - 90%? chance that your rebate will become denied or neglected anyway.

I don't understand how Ghost Squad isn't even on the site. I'm not even talking about the $5 bonus..Ghost Squad isn't LISTED there!..Nor is Tomb Raider: Anniversary for 360. The PS2 and Wii versions are there, though.

Sigh.

Just posted my Dec. submittals and they did find my missing 4 rebates from October. So it looks like they're all in the process except for the one I forgot to submit a review for. I still have a week or so to wait to contact them again (2-3 weeks reprocessing).

The rebate request page now says "Within three months of the form request date". Anyone requesting a new form please post the expiration date. I have already max'ed out mine and if any new form expires sooner than 3/31/08, I would lose it. Thanks.

i just sent an email asking whats the holdup. My Oct and Nov submissions havent shown up yet. Not going to bother with any others until they fix this.

Wow, OK, big changes!

Despite the fact that it says 3 months from request date, the form I just downloaded says it is due by April 30th! That's a full 4 months from now and just like it was before! And that frees up 10 more slots for me since I was full through end of Feb. The restrictions still seem to be the same (5 per 30 day period). However, and I noticed this a week ago or so, they now say only 25 forms are available to download and not 50 like before. Well, that sucks, anyway - but it is good to see we basically have the same lead time as before.

Also, the processing center has gone full circle and is now back in Arizona! Not Mesa, this time, but nearby Phoenix. Of course, I just mailed some in today to El Paso. I guess the next ones go to Phoenix?

Not that they've been much use when they are received correctly.

Time for another 10 rebates. Though it looks like zilch in the way of new game rebates. Guess I'll be digging into my backlog of rebates.

Time to go find the 10 between March and April.

All of my CS resubmits from September are posted online as of 12/31 - looks like the system finally caught up or some people wisened up. I was finally about to call the PG phone number listed on the rejection letters, too, as one of my New Year's resolutions.

So I'm guessing all submissions should still go to the address listed on that rebate? I requested more back in October but didn't send in due to the fiasco, and have a backlog of 7 or 8 that I need to submit, and all have the El Paso, TX address.

So January's will be going ot the new address even though they say El Paso.

Took them three weeks to send emails indicating that they had received my rebates (they were posted on 12/11), so other than two resubmits that are pending, and the 5 I just sent, I'm caught up as far as received. October and November are all still processing, though.

Looks like I'll be done with PG in March unless they start adding rebates to a good chunk of new/upcoming games.

so they told me they don't have two sets (9 rebates) i mailed a month apart. And that i need to resubmit with a JPG scan for each. Not sure i even have all the stuff anymore.
I wrote back to say its a bit convinient for them to lose BOTH big manilla envelopes mailed a month apart

I've found my 10 rebates for March and April, so I'm covered for now. Still no emails from the 10 rebates I requested, so I printed them to PDF to make sure I had copies of them.

Same here (sent 2 in on Monday to El Paso, also didn't get my forms via email this time, again).

I found plenty to fill my slots through April. I know this is selfish, but I don't want them to add anything new for a few months ;). I've still got plenty of old games I can request forms for, though I noticed several no longer are available (I'm looking at you, Persona 3!). I'd like to catch up on the old ones before I have to add new ones. THEN they can update with a bunch of new rebates!

Hell, they should let us just email the JPG's in the first place. Save some paper and postage that way :)

Forgot about my December rebates -- the holiday time distracted me! Has anyone had luck in submitting forms a few days after the "postmark by" date? I don't know if it's worth trying or not.

I picked up 8 rebates for March and April - unfortunately Assassin's Creed for PS3 was no longer available. I guess eveyone else picked it up at BestBuy on sale too and beat me to it.

Also, for those that are not receiving the forms by email, have you checked your spam folder? Yahoo just put 6 out of the 8 emails in my spam folder and 2 in my Inbox.

Yea, i need the bundle. I threw out the box right after using the upc to scan, doh.

I don't have a spam folder as evidenced by all the penis enhancement emails I get. And yet I still don't get the PG forms - and my correct email address is right on the form too (that I save to a Word doc since I haven't been getting them for about 3 months now).

So i got 5 emails today saying they received my rebates. Pretty sure they are the Nov ones, not the Oct.

Even though my last email from them told me they didnt have them.
Rebate inquiry page only shows 4 on the status page though.

I accidently went over the 'mail by' date on a buncha rebates I requested. I don't suppose there's anything that can be done about it? I just never got around to mucking with it with the holiday season and all and with the 5 limit per month, I forgot to make a notation.

Also, is it 5 per month based on the date they say they received the rebates or based on the post-marked mailing date? That's sort of what screwed me this time around. I decided to wait to mail the next batch after they confirmed their receipt of the previous and it was ages before I got an email about it. By then, it was pretty much too late to submit the next batch before the deadline.

What is the e-mail for price grabber status submissions again? My 5 rebates that were received in early Nov, only competed the 3/5 steps from their REBATE INQUIRYbut its been a about 2 months and those rebates are still not approved and mailed.

I have 15 rebates spanning over the last 4 months.

So the best way to submit these is 5 at a time (30 days apart) in a large envelope with delivery confirmation?

I was wondering if the new address to send the rebates is this one?

PriceGrabber Review Bonus Offers
Dept. #101426
P.O. Box 52900
Phoenix, AZ 85072-2900

or can we still send it to the texas one?

Most likely they'll be forwarded to the Phoenix address. I sent my Jan batch to that address (1/14). I reprinted one of the forms to confirm that Phoenix address.

I also am still waiting on 15 submittals (Nov, Dec, Jan) so they do seem to be behind at least for Nov and Dec.

eau - at "El Pasco". Written like a true Pacific Northwesterner (ie, Pasco, WA vs El Paso, TX).

--------------------------

Anyway, some of my December ones just showed up (kind of fast actually since I sent them at the end of the month and considering they were probably forwarded).

However, they have managed to continue hosing things up...

I have 3 of my 5 from Dec showing. I thought all was well when I saw there are FIVE items in the rebate search. However, it shows 2 duplicates marked as "one rebate per customer". Yeah, OK, like I sent in two forms . However, the fifth one which is the only entry for one of the games also shows this error - that is, there isn't a "good" one to counteract it like with the other 2.

Just to be clear, my 5 entries look like this:
1) Rebate for game A: "Error: Limit One Rebate Per Customer"
2) Rebate for game A: "Error: None"
3) Rebate for game B: "Error: Limit One Rebate Per Customer"
4) Rebate for game B: "Error: None"
5) Rebate for game C: "Error: Limit One Rebate Per Customer"

Not to mention I still have some November ones MIA.

:wall:

Yay!!! My December rebates has been processed! Only 4 out of 5 just went through but don't know what happen to the missing one. Is this okay to start filling my rebates for January because I have 5 rebates ready to send to Pricegrabber.

What could you do if some rebates (the mail-ins, not the checks) are MIA for, say, more than 2 months? Would they ask you to resend copies for resubmission? Or just SOL?
What could you do if some rebates (the mail-ins, not the checks) are MIA for, say, more than 2 months? Would they ask you to resend copies for resubmission? Or just SOL?
I had some a few months back that were "missing" and they said I could fax or email the UPC/receipts. It was kind of a pain because I didn't have one of the games any more. Contact them through the support link. They were pretty quick for me yesterday as I checked on those other 3 I have missing from Nov and they said they DID receive those and they should show up on the rebate search soon. We'll see about that... Anyway, when I had to fax my copies in they never acknowledged receiving them and after ANOTHER 4-5 weeks I contacted them again and they said they got 'em and a few more weeks later they finally showed up on the site. Yeah, the whole processing/rebate search database update takes a while (not to mention the actual check generation).

To add to what IO said, I wouldn't wait 2 months. I'd wait about 1 month and email them to find the status. They really hosed up my Oct submittals. 4 out of 5 were MIA and I emailed them and they finally showed up as "C/S resubmitted" on 12/28. Took about 4 emails over a few weeks to get them to fix it. They never asked me to resubmit. It was typically "we're looking into it" mode.

I just fired them an email and asked them what was up with October and November's submissions, as one of my October submissions was approved and had the check mailed in a week's time from the receipt date on the website. The rest of October, as well as all of November, nothing's been done with them.

As I check on the FAQ section to double-check the email address, I found the following info on the Pricegrabber info site:
Q. Exactly what do I include with my PriceGrabber bonus offer submission?
A. In a single envelope, you must combine the following:
 • The downloaded PriceGrabber offer form with all information completed. Photocopies of downloaded offer forms will not be accepted.
 • The receipt from your purchase that clearly shows the date of the purchase and the qualifying retailer or reseller. Photocopies of receipts will be accepted.
 • The original UPC removed from your qualifying product box. Photocopies of the UPC will not be accepted.
See the bolded section where they're now saying that the original UPC is now needed.

Lame
I suppose you could try the "You didn't get my forms? I have copies of everything" bit and then use a photocopy - but that would be a big hassle.

We'll see what the new forms are like come next Friday, which will be Feb 1st.

I'll make sure not to photocopy the forms. If the forms actually emailed to me, I wouldn't have to worry about printing them to PDF anymore.

I was shocked, but I went and checked it and it still says photocopies are valid. :whistle2:s I'm going by this and I will send in photocopies, as there isn't a way in hell I'm cutting up my game artwork:

Please keep in mind, when purchasing OEM software, there will not be a box. Therefore, there will not be a UPC code, in which case, the rebate will not be valid for an OEM product. You are allowed a total maximum of 5 submissions (for different products) per calendar month a 30 day period (based on the postmark date) under this program. Without limitation, we consider the same email or same address as one person."

The rebate forms I downloaded last night says:

 • Copy of the original receipt/invoice statement for the above product.
 • Photocopy of the original UPC barcode, taken from the product box
Rebatestatus.com is handling the rebates now:

What about forms that we downloaded 2 months ago with the El Paso address. Will they get forward to the correct rebate center?

From the email I sent earlier, which oddly enough was an email that was forwarded to me from [email protected] that was sent to them from [email protected]:

Your rebates have completed the first 3 of 5 steps
A check request for $5.00 is being processed. Unfortunately, we have been experiencing difficulties with our fulfillment company, and it has caused some delays in processing all our rebate checks. Checks will resume being issued within the next two weeks, at which point your rebate will go out. We are sorry for the delay.

No shit you've had difficulties with your fulfillment company.
