I think you still get trophies, you just can't get the platinum until you have both parts.

The single player campaign is pretty short/lackluster, but thats coming from the perspective of someone who paid full price for the game at launch. I'm sure you will get a lot of enjoyment out of it for free.

I wonder if they fixed the multiplayer. I was a HUGE fan of Warhawk but was really disappointed with playing this one. Just about every round turned into a base-rape situation where people sat around in tanks killing people as they spawned. Even when it wasn't that way, it still wasn't nearly as fun as Warhawk. The build and battle thing is a cool idea, but all of the maps just feel barren/empty and not that different from each other.

yeah, thats what you would think, I just didnt know if anyone knew if thats actually what happens in this situation as i could see Sony fucking it up and not allowing any trophies to be earned until you buy the entire game. That would be hilarious to see all the complaining. But since I will only play the free SP portion, I too would be kind of annoyed.

Starhawk MP is $20 and the full game will be $40 when that's out next week, which lets PS+ members get the whole game for $20 if they want it.

The trophies will be the same as the retail version, so you will obviously only have access to single-player or multiplayer trophies if you only get one of them.

Oh shit, cross buy too. Before they introduced this cross buy feature, I was just going to buy the PS3 version and get my platinum on that and not bother with the double platinums, but I guess if they're giving it to me for free, I have to.

*edit* Oops, never mind, apparently both versions share the same trophy list? Kinda weird, but I'm cool with that, although it just means I won't be playing the Vita version at all.

Indeed you are right that is a shitty move from EA when they announced bf3 2 years ago, they said they will never charge for new maps etc, then they started charging and people who got back to karkand got shoot in their asses.

People who bought 2nd hand pre-owned needed to buy the pass and back to karkand, then all dlc was known to be 15$, then came the premium which was only 50$ with all DLC for free and premium weapons and double xp weekend for premium players.

Finally they decided to fuck the consumer even more by releasing the game with premium on it for only 60$, so you are more than right with your affirmation fucking fuck you EA!

Yes, we should do away with all GOTY and Ultimate versions of games. fuck having that option of waiting! We should all have to pay MSRP as soon as it comes out!

Depends. Do you want it day 1 or do you want to wait a few years? This is the crux of every "Ohhhh, we got screwed!" complaint.
 
^The thing is, Borderlands DLC goes on sale A LOT! I'm afraid we'll be hearing a lot of raging from Season Pass owners when each piece of DLC goes on sale 3-4 months after release.

No one told them to buy the Season Pass.

Things get cheaper as time goes on. Anyone who complains about this is a moron and should be treated as such so that they learn from their mistake.

Furthermore, in the case of the Season Pass, you're buying something before you even know what it is. For all we know (although highly unlikely), three of the next four DLCs will be like Moxxi's DLC. You are taking a gamble when you purchase something like this. You don't get to complain if your gamble fails. You don't play Blackjack and then whine to the casino when you go bust.

I just got BF3 for 10.00 yesterday via Orgin. Now I'll just wait till premium is either 19.99 or 29.99. :D


though I aited like what 7-8 months for this price point. of course my rig with the 8800GT wasn't really able to handle the BF3 Beta, barely playable if at all.

I'm so used to blasting people for the stupid things they say on here that every now and then, I like to commend people for understanding what an early adopter is.

In case you other people were wondering, early adopters are not customers that are supposed to be nurtured by the company and given free stuff for the rest of their life.
 
Am I the only one that still sees the banner stating that all Borderlands DLC is 50% off after clicking on the PS+ link in the store? But when I click on it the prices are back to full price. Personally I think even digital stores should have to honor an advertised price.

LBP is $39.99? What happened to first party games being $5 cheaper? Had to ignore all the people who got the retail version early, and now I pay full price as well. So glad I paid out my rear for that 32gb card. Also, Tokyo Jungle add-on at release?

And no price listed for FFIII. I hope it's not $40 or $30.
