Not sure if this is suppose to be this way, but fortnite is now showing as free for me and I completed the order. Downloading now.

hmm some tempting stuff in this sale.  shantae and shiness have both been on my wishlist.  May just bite if I could get pcgamesupplies cheap psn credit :/

There's a great Patapon interview on the PS Blog now. If you want a free theme, there's a quick quiz to fill out to get a code for a Patapon dynamic theme.

Reminder that Housemarque's next game Matterfall is out on 8/15 and they've made a BTS video on the game:

The new game from Runic (Torchlight) is called Hob and it's out on 9/26 on PS4. They're holding a contest to name a trophy in the game with more details in the post itself.

X-Morph: Defense will be out for PS4 on 8/30.

That Patapon remaster has got some really mixed reviews. Sounds like the controls aren’t so hot?

As for the sale, think I’m going to hold off on anything else and save my money for Matterfall. Looks like Shadow Complex with a shmup twist.

It was working well for me last night.

Thanks for the update Frisky. Finally grabbed Enter the Gungeon. What is the verdict on Blackwood Crossing, Headlander, and Rise & Shine? Still waiting on a sale for Night in the Woods and The Sexy Brutale.

Headlander is worth the asking price for sure. Fun little Metroidvania with a fairly easy Platinum. It is one of those games that could very well be a freebie with Plus at some point but for 4 bucks I think it's worth taking a chance.

Had $4 in my wallet and figured I'd give one of the Riptide games a shot. Looking at them always made me miss Hydro Thunder...
well you can get an xbox one and buy it their since its backwards compat, theirs also another boat racing game on their called speedboat challenge or something that is ok

Yeah I've always thought it looked neat but legit almost every game Double Fine has put out on Sony consoles has been on PS+ at some point so I think I am gonna wait myself.

Headlander - Definitely getting.

#Killallzombies - Not sure. Doesn't seem to be a lot there, and what is there reminds me of Crimsonland (which I just played thru recently and quite enjoyed). No cross buy, would prefer on the Vita. Seems to be a better buy at like $2.

Xenoraid - Speaking of $2, cross buy with Vita, and Crimsonland (same developer). Though everything I get from online seems to indicate it gets very samey and nothing really stands out about it.

Any opinions on #Killallzombies or Xenoraid?

I can play #killallzombies for like an hour on my pc and give impressions if you want. I got it cheap during a recent Groupees bundle.

I appreciate this but don't go out of your way to do it. If I end up buying it and totally hate it, I'd only be out a few bucks. I won't cry (much). I like twin stick shooters so I'll most likely enjoy it at least a bit, but I do have many others and it seems this would probably end up at the bottom of the pile, especially just being the PS4 version only.

Killallzombies is great. It's a bit like if Crimsonland was set in more of a game show environment, so lots of weird stuff can appear during waves that is pretty cool. I made a video on it a while back:

Thanks. From the videos I've seen, it did remind me of Crimsonland quite a bit with the random weapon drops and select-a-perks. Wasn't sure if I needed this since I already have CL (which can get truly insane, quite fun). But if it does add something different, I'll probably bite. I'll just pretend I spent more on Headlander and less on this.

I hated Xenoraid. Super repetitive and lifeless.

Anyone try dreadnaught? I like the idea of the game, space ship captain and such...
Was kinda interested myself for the same reason. But isn't this just a beta? Is this gonna have an actual release later or is this one of those newfangled betas where it will silently morph into the release version? I'm perpetually confused as to what is an actual beta and an actual release anymore. BTW, the free themes are pretty good, much better than most other free ones.

Checking around online, even if otherwise positive, repetitive and not much to stand out seemed to come up a lot. I'll avoid, probably will be given as PS+ in the future anyway.

Has anyone had success using a usb hub and an external drive setup to hold games?  I just hit my limit on storage and setup an external drive but in order to get it recognized, I had to remove my Insignia usb hub (provides 4 instead of 2 ports).  I then put it back on and even using the slot that lined up with the original usb on the front, it isn't recognized with the extender.

Can't use a hub with the PS4. I had purchased a Seagate 8tb hub and it was not compatible. Ended up just getting a 8tb external and it works fine.

You should be able to use a AC powered hub just fine with the PS4 but those ones that power off the USB aren't likely to work with something like a hard drive. Even running multiple controllers off them is unreliable because the PS4 handles the power to USB kind of wonky.

Yeah, I'm definitely on that.

I plan on getting a usb powered external when I get a Pro. Do you think it is best to use an AC powered hub for it "because the PS4 handles the power to USB kind of wonky", or do usb powered hard drives plugged in directly work fine?

Hubs will not work on the PS4 when paired with an external drive. You CAN run a USB hub as Chipzilla stated albeit acting wonky, but when you try to run the external through the hub itself, it will not work. The drive needs to be connected directly to the consoles USB port.

This is the drive I purchased:

https://www.amazon.com/Seagate-Expansion-Desktop-External-STEB8000100/dp/B01HAPGEIE/ref=sr_1_1?s=pc&ie=UTF8&qid=1501711806&sr=1-1&keywords=8tb&refinements=p_89%3ASeagate

I ended up getting 2 for both my PS4 and XB1.

I put a 4 tb seagate sshd into a usb 3.0 external enclosure.  It formats fine but I get regular (2-3 times a day) blue repair screens.  I was thinking that it could be a power / auto-sleep issue with the drive or possibly a firmware issue on my ps4 pro.  Pretty annoying in any case.

It is an issue with Sleep Mode. I just shut it off now and haven't had any issues since doing so. My buddy had issues with his Pro and external, so much to the point he doesn't use the external anymore.

I am hooked on Sundered. Even though it didn’t get as good of reviews as Pyre, it has pulled me completely away from that (also great) game. Just gets better and better the deeper you get in. And while very difficult, keeps the upgrades coming well enough to allow you to get further and further from run to run. And I haven’t even gotten to the first boss yet!

Speaking of Pyre, does anybody else find it pretty dull? I mean the art is very nicely done and the story is somewhat interesting but there doesn't seem to be much to the gameplay. I've played like five "Rites" and it basically boils down to getting the "ball" to your fastest guy and rushing towards the pyre. Having trouble getting myself to go back to it.

The hub works fine with hard drives for accessing media content just a no go as extended my storage. Caught me off guard as I currently have 3 hard drives, a controller charges and other connected to the hub. Gonna be hard to minimize.

I played it a little bit during the beta and wasn't thrilled by it. It's an arena shooter with space ships, so it's not like the various Star Wars shooters on PC and console. It kind of felt like a car combat game with slower giant space ships, but it's free to play, so you could try it out to see if it's up your alley. I'll probably do a video on it in the next few weeks for my F2P series.

This is the full release. It was in beta for the last few months for those that signed up for a code.

In the description it says "Play in the open beta now!". Guess they just haven't updated the description yet. Otherwise it did seem like a release, which was why I was confused.
