Super excited for Hellblade.  I forgot it was coming next week. Love supporting NinjaTheory and I haven't been looking forward to a game this much in a long time.

Haven’t really been following Hellblade much but does look promising. Is it going to be Dark Souls/Nioh difficult?

I am hooked on Sundered. Even though it didn’t get as good of reviews as Pyre, it has pulled me completely away from that (also great) game. Just gets better and better the deeper you get in. And while very difficult, keeps the upgrades coming well enough to allow you to get further and further from run to run. And I haven’t even gotten to the first boss yet!
Yeah I loved it. It's addictive and the combat is great and the exploration and leveling is fun. I gave it a 9/10 on the site I reviewed it for. Structure reminded me a lot of Rogue Legacy, another amazing game.

Headlander - Definitely getting.

#Killallzombies - Not sure. Doesn't seem to be a lot there, and what is there reminds me of Crimsonland (which I just played thru recently and quite enjoyed). No cross buy, would prefer on the Vita. Seems to be a better buy at like $2.

Xenoraid - Speaking of $2, cross buy with Vita, and Crimsonland (same developer). Though everything I get from online seems to indicate it gets very samey and nothing really stands out about it.

Any opinions on #Killallzombies or Xenoraid?
Killallzombies is... pretty good? It's definitely Crimsonland-y [survival mode], but Crimsonland is better. But it's not bad. You fight, get to pick perks, etc. I paid full price and was let down, probably would have been thrilled at this price.

Xenoraid is okay if you're willing to dedicate yourself to it. It's a little soulless, but if you go zen on it there's fun to be had.

No, the game's focus is storytelling. It has combat, but it's not the entire focus and won't be Dark Souls like as far as difficulty. Their main focus in the game is portraying psychosis accurately

Haven't really watched a ton about it. Kinda wanting to go in blind. Doesn't seem like it'll quite follow the Heavenly Sword level of action though.

Just watched a few videos and I'm not sold on Hellblade. The combat doesn't look anything like what I was expecting from a Ninja Theory game.

Yeah every gameplay video I've seen of it has looked incredibly unappealing. It doesn't help that every time I see comments/interviews from Ninja Theory they say that the focus of the game is on the world, atmosphere, story, etc.

Nothing wrong with that but it's not my cup of tea, will probably only pick it up heavily discounted (or from ps+ if it ends up there).

Curious, decided to finally delve into the Ratchet and Clank games starting with the first one from the HD collection and...well, how well does the rest of the PS2 series hold up? Playing the first one and man, it does not age well at all. Everything from the dialogue, characters. the pacing, lack of checkpoints and ESPECIALLY the camera is making me ready to just skip this one and go to the next unless the PS2 ones all feel the same.

The first game held up really well to me when I beat it a few years ago, but camera and control-wise, the second game improves upon it with a more modern, stable camera and strafe controls for combat that became the series' standards from then on. Same goes for the leveling mechanics for the weapons.

I Don't know, first game isn't really clicking for me. Like I see the foundation for a good game, but there are so many small gripes I have with it (plus two generations have passed since it was released) that my backlog is also making me want to push forward to something else instead of going through this. May try the second and see how that goes, thanks.

I'm still hooked with Pyre! Been playing it non stop since I started. There's a Ton of lore but everything is pretty good. The Sport Style game is pretty awesome. A little further down the line the game becomes harder and the AI is even better at strategy. Love this game.

The strafing alone that was added in the second game makes a world of difference. At least give that one a shot before you give up on the series.

Started Going Commando last night and yeah the gunplay doesn't feel as much of an afterthought in this one and the camera actually feels more reasonable so I'm enjoying it so far. Though I still find it odd they decided to continue not using the d-pad as weapon selection , but instead as a another means of movement controls. Those were some odd, dark times...

Thanks for the input (and to the others that chimed in as well).

I have decided to go with #Killallzombies this time and skip Xenoraid. As long as #Killallzombies is competent and gives a little something different, seems like a worthy purchase, since its in a genre I like (and cheap). But with Xenoraid, some version of "soulless" shows up in most descriptions of it I found here and elsewhere. I'll be happy to try it out if it goes PS+ (and I'd bet it probably will eventually).

Holy shit a new surfing game is finally coming! About to download the demo, I hope it's fun I've been wanting a new surfing game for a long time.

Has anyone played Butcher?

Also....  I loved Ghost Recon Wildlands...   and while I generally never buy DLC, I'm curious about the dlc for it.   I've been waiting for it to all go on sale, and thanks to Frisky's recent post, I just noticed it is...

can anyone recommend what is worth getting?

:ps4: Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Wildlands - Season Pass - $27.99 - 30% Off - Ends 8/8

the season pass, even at 30% off, seems really pricey to me... I don't even like paying 28 for a full game, let alone dlc.

huh, like frisky, the game held up really well for me when i played it a year or to ago. Heck, I then replayed it again on PS4. loved the characters and pacing... didn't have any issue with the pacing. stick with the franchise imo.

Yeah, when i first played about 2 years ago, the first one took a while to get used to the controls. Second forward improves on it a lot, with each entry refining things even more.
My favorite of the PS2 era ones is definitely Ratchet: Deadlocked, completely different story set-up, but can be played completely in co-op

Yeah, second feels more manageable in being a game of it's time. I Also got ALL the games in the series (minus the portable ones) so I'm glad I'm enjoying it as opposed to playing it and not being able to tolerate the first and not liking the second and just questioning why I made such a dumb mistake. Though I will say, there's no fucking way I'll be going back to the original game ever. Closest maybe the PS4 one since I keep hearing that's basically just a retelling of the first game.

Though I will say Ratchet is dumb, dumb character. As an adult all I can say or think is "God, he's stupid."

I'm years behind, but I'm about to finish The Last of Us for the first time. What a ride. Really kicking myself for putting this off cause I'm a lil bitch and thought it'd be too tense/creepy for me. I totally get the hype now.

the only game i've beaten in the last 15 years and immediately started playing it again from the beginning

Made a video to celebrate The Mark of Kri's 15th anniversary:
Oh, Mark of Kri was amazing. They really need to bring the series back. Action/Stealth is all the rage since the Arkham series, and the brutally violent Disney aesthetic will never fall out of style.
