I'm in the middle of finishing up Smart As right now and I read somewhere (might have been the trophy guide) that you can register your router with Skyhook under a different city and you'll be able to pull up new challenges without having to wait. I haven't messed with it because I only need a few more to be done with it, but it might come in handy for those that haven't started it yet.
I couldn't get that to work when I tried it, but I know what you are talking about. It was in the trophy guide.

Where's our daily pinball tournament update?

Oh great... it's the Spelunky tournament all over again.

"Someone tell Zimm to play this week's table... we only have 5 days left!!! Where the fuck are the standings???"

Update since Vig's post:

Atelier Rorona Plus is now $20 new at GS. Availability in my area is tons better than pre-owned, so I'll be running out over lunch to pick that up. Games haven't ever been on sale cheaper than that on PSN as far as I can tell.

Somehow I missed that. Yeah, it did. Usually it's the PS+ announcement that goes out around this time, guess I got them confused.

I usually check the EU store just in case there's a good deal. I'm usually disappointed.

PS Plus was already basically announced for tomorrow. I think they want the Spotify announcement to make the rounds today on the news sites and stuff.

CAG does seem to be working better. I click that show me, or whatever it says, link when it says there are new posts and now it actually shows the new posts.

Man this library stuff is tits, I have lbp3, shadow of mordor and tekken tag 2 on hold and I found south park stick of truth and killer is dead today! They have like 300 games with short (1-5 people) wait lists.

And for some reason this library has a 3d printer and a green screen with macs+video editing software available to use.
Now if only they offered those things... what did they used to call them... big and heavy things, lot of paper in them... oh yeah... books!

I started up Mordor last night, seems like the gameplay will be fun. I could give 2 shits about the source material though. I don't know happened...I liked the first LOTR trilogy of movies but it was like right after that I got my fill and was done.

I got a free day and half off with the snow that ended up not being all that much. So I played about an hour or 2 of Costume Quest 2 since I could play in front of the kids. It's what I expected (more of the same) but very enjoyable nonetheless.

My PS4 library is growing now especially with all the cross buy titles...went into my library and forgot about all the games that made the jump or that I got as freebies.

A fan of LOTR would probably like SoM a lot less. It's shit for characters and story. If you like the gameplay at the opening then you'll love it when you get further in and you start having some nice upgrades that really enhance movement and combat and such.

But we really needed this:

CAGcast “new!” notification in nav when a new episode is posted
I'd love to know listener stats on the cagcast. Number of listeners, ages, etc - I listened to one once and immediately visited confession afterwards because of all the foul thoughts I had about it.

Sounds like you wanted to take it out for lobster, followed by some heavy petting out at makeout point.

EDIT: Kinda Therm'd?

We should have known.  The quality of their character (taco bell) like the quality of their food should never be questioned.

Yeah I knew it going in. I'm pretty much in it for the gameplay. I only played the opening, 1 regular mission, and 1 side mission but I enjoyed it so far.

Yeah puppeteer is sweet, except for the overly long and stupid cutscenes. I dont remember if they are skippable, but if they are just skip them.
They are. I made it about 2 chapters before I just started skipping every one I came across. The developers had no restraint with those fucking things. It was like the Metal Gear Solid of platforming. Except the story was totally arbitrary.

Edit: Fun game, though. Don't get me wrong.

I need to do a summons but cant figure out how.  All the videos i see show a summons option in the battle wheel thing...but i dont have a summons... I know I did the Mr Slave side quest so I should have him to summons...but i cant...

Nice. Atelier Rorona Plus TIV at Amazon is $21.12. 80 hour plat, but values seem to be holding pretty high so once I'm done with it odds are good the TIV will still be good.

I don't recall seeing anyone mention if the Fight Night Champions game that's on sale is any good.  So, is the Fight Night Champions game that's on sale any good?

How many weeks do you need for an 80 hour plat?
Dunno. Part of the reason I wanted to buy it physically is because I've never played an Atelier game. Not sure if I'll like the gameplay, but the games are gorgeous and seem interesting. If I get into it I'd guess a couple of months to knock it out, though. I spread my time around quite a bit usually with TV and reading and Vita and such.

The Spotify announcement is the best PS4 news I've read in months. Thank you, Sony. I've been using the USB music player a ton lately (Driveclub, NBA2K, Destiny grinding lol) and while it's certainly functional it's limited in a number of ways. I'll be using the Spotify app day ONE!

And MUSIC UNLIMITED is just awful. Of all the major services it's the worst I've used. I don't consider myself an audiophile but the bitrate is embarrassing (even when offline). The PS4 app crashes all the time. I believe Sony also owns one of the world's largest record labels so it's shocking they're behind it. Just last week I was searching for an album that came out and it wasn't available...and this artist is signed to them lol. Why on earth anyone would subscribe to MU is beyond me but I guess that's why they've given up.

*Btw, if you're a student you can subscribe for $5/mo. Not sure if it extends to faculty. Definitely worth it but even at $9/mo the service is a steal.*
