I've never experienced lock-ups when entering keys from my home computer but, when I entered a couple keys on my nephew's laptop it gave a long pause between each.  I wonder what the factor there is in why it locks up or why it doesn't.

Number of installed games, HDD speed, it apparently rebuilds 'database' of installed games.

I uninstalled 500 games and it's lot faster now (still slow).

Hrm. The keys I entered for him were the first keys ever entered. I had installed Steam and set up his account five minutes prior.

I've always had client lock ups on key activations on every computer I've ever owned or built.  Consider yourself extremely lucky if you haven't.

Beyond Earth is a really good choice for a free weekend. An addicting game with no real conclusive ending is the type of thing that people might be convinced to buy after playing for a few days.

I know I will finally be trying it out if my HD3000 laptop will run it. Maybe I can play a tiny map on a micro-planet using 8-bit color and no audio. If I can figure out how to shut off the AI I might even win a game.

EDIT: Ignore this. After I read it, I realized I came across as a fuck

Man, just say no to Intel (NOT)HD. That shit sucks. I really hate that 99% of laptops on the planet have it. PC gaming would be more of a thing if so many people weren't saddled with laptops with utter shit graphical capabilities. McPixel would probably strain that damned thing.

I can run Civ V just fine (which has lower requirements of course) so I will give BE a shot and see what happens. No money lost and I never hit my download cap so no worries there.

The Civ V free weekend was enough to entice me into a purchase (and a pre-order of Brave New World). Spent a 12 hour session with it, at which point I realized I couldn't save my progress because I was playing the fuck ing tutorial.

Definitely would be taking advantage of the BE free weekend, if it ran on my stupid chromebook. <insert Price is Right horn here>

You meet the minimum requirements so I think you should be fine. This isn't scientific, but while not a simple re-skin of Civ 5, the graphics don't look that much more demanding to me.

I just noticed something...

Adding a Greenlight game to your favorites is now shown in your profile activity - and it also appears to show how many people upvoted the item.

Whoa.  That list really shows how much bundle stuff I already have.

And yet...  Thanks for Call of Juarez, Sang Froid and Ballpoint Universe Infinite.

On top of that, thanks for choosing a convenient time to post them!

I should have known something was up when people were actually talking.

I'm noticing that too and there needs to be a way to turn it off because I keep getting spammed with multiple people going through and voting for all the crap in that Groupees bundle all at once.

Thanks Poopees.
