This thread will attempt to provide a place to discuss past/present/future PC gaming deals. While mainly focusing on Steam games, any standout sales may also be presented. I will not be updating every Daily/Weekly/etc. sale. The tools to help individuals become a smarter shopper will be provided below.

See this POST for links to store sale pages, threads of interest and other tools to help you become a more informed PC game shopper.

Oh look, for the two people who haven't pirated or gotten it bundled, the Monaco soundtrack is now on Steam.
If you got the game on humble you probably already have the OSTs there. If you bought a music bundle on Groupees or other similar sites... you probably already have 'em there, too.

The soundtracks are separate from the game on Steam - they're DLC. So nobody here owns them on Steam.

"You’ve requested a significant number of refunds recently. Please keep in mind that refunds are not a method for trying out games. If we think the refund system is being misused we’ll decline to grant future refunds."
Dear Steam, please consider selling fewer shitty games rather than allowing every asset flip RPG maker titty-game through Greenlight and I'll probably request fewer refunds.

My haul for the BF weekend:

65" 4k TV

Components for new PC including: 4Ghz Skylake, 16gb ram, 980, 5tb hdd, and 1440 monitor

QNAP NAS and 2x6tb hdd

and $2 of dlc in the Steam Sale

My ps4 runs buttman awesomely.

So nice to have invested in superior gaming hardware.
that 30 fps though...

on 2nd note, I've been playing Overwatch Beta lately (sorry Fallout 4, Starcraft II and Steam Autumn sale). I enjoyed the beta immensely. That speaks alot for someone who doesn't even like FPS to begin with. The skills were fun to deploy, the levels are well designed, the matchmaking feature is intuitive and there are very low learning curves (even for FPS noob like myself).

I suggest that you guys try it whenever Blizzard has open beta in the Spring. You won't regret it.

Just came from Target (shutup) and they have a download card for Diablo 3 for half off at $10.

Reaper of Souls isn't on sale though, it's $20 regular price.

So anyway if you actually want D3 and somehow haven't bought it yet and can live without the expansion and aren't some weird dinosaur that needs it in a box because you like the smell or some shit, which realistically probably is no one, then it's cheap.

Best Buy:

1080p Samsung 48'' HDTV.
Was that one of the doorbuster deals?

Who the hell pirates video game soundtracks? For that matter, who the hell even listens to video game soundtracks?
Best Soundtrack ever!

To be honest, the Quake 2 CD also kicks serious ass. I find myself firing it up when driving to shooting matches.

Mine only had World of Warcrap on sale for $10. I tried to give them 5 box tops from Sugar Smacks for them to price match for Diablo, but they said I needed a Best Buy Reward Zone card first. Oh well.

The worst part of buying pc parts is waiting on everything to come in. Got my GPU but my Ram, Power Supply and SSD won't be in until Friday.  :-({|=  :-({|=

I finally completed my haul: Free Jade Empire.

It still counts because I'll never play it.

Elite: Dangerous (I basically traded my uPlay Syndicate or Siege code for it.) So far it looks awesome... but I'm going to have to do allot of work on commands it seems. I was trying to play it with a 360 controller and the controls are just not very intuitive that way... Also they don't seem to be named very intuitively as trying to fix some stuff made it worse.)
Using my Logitech controller I found it to be the same, had to do a lot of rebinding and it'd seem to just mess stuff up more. Ended up switching to kb&m and been working really well so far (other then my bad habit of not centering my mouse at times and ending up rolling all over the place while trying to check a menu and such ><).

So what's the gaming trend right now? In he summer clicker games were all the rage, but I'm out of the loop now. Maybe Steam will make a shitty Fallout 4 clone to play for winter sale cards.
Feels like more EA tycoon games are popping up, not sure about much else at the moment.

Everyone who bought Arkham Knight just got all the previous Arkham games added to their account - including all DLC - for free.

But no Arkham Knight season pass 'cause fuck you.
Also 4 preorder DLC's for Batman Arkham Origins, which can't be bought separately. (Only way is to get all is to buy GOTY edition, which is physical only)

So 4 DLC's for game I'll never play again, thanks a lot WB.

Playing Quake for the first time (insanely late, but my first time playing Doom was last year) and I'm not getting the appeal of the soundtrack. Other than the song during the main menu, the soundtrack is mostly ambiance. Nothing like Doom's soundtrack

I say this as a NIN fan

I'm also not liking Quake anywhere near as much as Doom

As far as I can tell, all the preorder DLC for Arkham Origins is available for purchase on Steam.

I listen to video game soundtracks, because I'm too lazy to listen to the radio and when I want music I just go to what I already know.

SO THERE.

Oh man, I can listen to SO MANY soundtracks.  (especially the ones from back when I used to care about consoles - SNES, Genesis, Playstation 1)

Final Fantasy -  Two, Three and Seven especially (our two and three, not Japan's)

Zelda is loaded with amazing themes.

Pretty much any other SNES Square Soft RPG as well (I LOVE you Chrono Trigger!)

In more recent memory, Bastion has a freaking amazing soundtrack.

All the Paradox Games I'm in a committed relationship with (Hearts of Iron, Crusader Kings, Europa Universalis, Victoria)  all have soundtracks I find to be top notch.

I could do this all day. So many awesome video game soundtracks out there.

Played Her Story tonight, if you aren't that " aren't games!" type, and don't mind the similarities to pixel hunting, it's worth getting on sale (hell it's only $5 normally so even not) or when it hits bundles imo.

By similarities, by the way, I mean in that the figuring out what keywords to use has pixel hunting feel at times, though at least it tends to require intelligence rather then good eyes/a good monitor. In more traditional adventure game style though, some of the keywords if you want to get 100% come across as B.S. only MAYBE the desperate would search (e.g. coffee, tea, sugar).

Anyways, satisfied that detective/mystery itch, only took about 1-2 hours (on 3 now, but that's from trying to 100% and not realizing for awhile when the end was).

Nope.

Regardless, it was still a hell of a deal - and it was a BF deal.

I certainly ain't seen a 1080p Samsung at that size (48 inches) at that price ($380 before tax).

Really digging the TV, BTW.

I tried Jade Empire a while ago and gave up pretty quickly. It felt really, really dated. I don't get the clamouring for it.

Also, fuck OLD WORLD BLUES. Seriously, who said this was "must play" DLC? It's not fun and I'm sick of those bloody scorpions. New Vegas has been reasonably fun but this DLC is just a ballache. Get me back to Nevada quickly.

Of course Jade Empire goes on the house when I just bought it from GoG a few months ago. Granted, it was super on sale (like ~$2-3.00) but still, I haven't played it since I bought it. Oh well, looks like I have two copies now.

So is that the new bundle sacrificing? Buy a game on GoG, Steam, or bUttPlay and it goes on the house?

OWB is about five minutes of funny dialogue followed by two hours of tedium with the occasional smirk along the way. If you have a ballistics weapon build, it's more like four hours of tedium since everything takes god damn forever to kill.

I beg to differ. This is the greatest video game soundtrack ever. By a long shot.

When the hell are they going to get around to remaking this game?

Where do I complain to request a steam key for Shadow Complex, I backlogged that game like 8 years ago when I still thought I'd play a 360 again.

EDIT: Just spoilering a quote since it's not really relevant any more.

Edit - how do I embed the video in the post???
Just post the full url, not the mini, youtu.be url.

EDIT: No need for two embedded videos since DrR0Ck edited his post.

I think that most of the praise for Old World Blues is based on the writing, which is entertaining, but the core gameplay of collecting widgets all over the map and fighting difficult-to-kill robots is indeed the opposite of fun. I finished it but I didn't enjoy it very much and it's the only New Vegas DLC I played. The rest of them looked even worse.

It probably is dated but it's the only reasonably-modern attempt at a martial arts RPG that resembles those wacky kung-fu movies that you would see on UHF channels in the '70s with lots of wire-fu and weird magic stuff going on. Also, the characters and story are well-written because it's BioWare. I haven't played it in many years, but I thoroughly enjoyed it the first time around.

Then again, I'm playing Baldur's Gate II EE right now and loving that, so maybe that should tell you something about where I'm coming from. . . .

I was always intrigued and picked it up on sale too. Haven't gotten a chance to play it
