Also, did anyone else get the sense that Bethesda was just sorta like Oh, yeah and we're also doing this game BattleCry. Here's some press material. You should play it cuz reasons. On the hype meter, this registered a negative two.
It looked worse than Fallout 4, and that's saying something.

Hey guys has anyone figured out whether that game that just announced has skills?  I've watched the trailer thing like 200 times and I could neither find any skills or determine the sex of the dog.  It's really important because whatever video I've been still framing and overanalyzing is totally 100% reflective of how the final product will be in 2 years and I'm super freaking out that it might not have skills.

Dog's a dude because Gamergate misogyny. So sick of dog characters in games being male German shepherds. When will developers learn that other dogs can play video games too?

I thought the game was supposed to come out sometime this fall or winter? It's gotta be pretty close to releasing since they are taking pre-orders on it.

im sure you wouldn't be anxious at all if a few months prior to killing floor 2 it looked like a pretty integral feature might be left out

comes out in november

I actually really didn't follow the development of the game closely at all, I just wanted the damn thing to come out. I think I watched one video the week or two before it released (and after the beta was announced) and read one article a year before release to get a stupid jacket DLC. But yes, I would be upset if Killing Floor didn't have guns or zeds. They actually did significantly overhaul the perks system in it and I am still alive.

I have an hour and a half to decide if I want to bite on Cities: Skylines, H1Z1, or 7 Ways to Die. Torn on all three of them.

7 Days to Die is the best discount/quality combo there. Cities I've heard great things about but that discount is straight wack son. H1Z1 has mixed reviews and will eventually be F2P I think (someone correct me if I'm wrong).

Skylines is worth it if you like city sims. If you're the sort to spend weeks playing a sim, you'll definitely get your money's worth. Obviously, if you think you'll backlog it then you might as well wait for a heavier discount.

Playing it today? Worth it. Playing it later? Can do better than 30%

Pay $1 to get Company of Heroes?

Yes

NVM It's a DLC trap
The first COH was bundled a little while ago with both DLCs. I was able to get it and the DLCs for $1 on the steam buy/sell thread. Post that you're looking for it and someone may have it laying around.

Just bought 7 Days to Die and although there is no controller support yet its pretty polished and offers lots of content for an early access game. I paid $8 for it and I think it was worth it, its more fun than some AAA titles.

The only thing holding me back from 7 Days to Die was that I heard it's much better with a friend and I'd probably be playing solo for the most part. Cities, I would have bought at 50% like I said earlier, so the 33% is throwing me off even though I've heard how great it is. H1Z1 is definitely the weakest of the three, but I'm itching to play a survival game.

We'd play with you :)

I actually dont have the AoE2 Forgotten expansion, in for a buck for me.
Yeah, it's pretty sweet if you didn't overpay for The Forgotten already, as some of us did. But everything else in there is junk (if you don't have Medieval II by now, you obviously don't want it).

As someone who dislikes multiplayer games I can tell you that the game is still fun and worth the purchase in solo mode. I'm sure finding people to play with wouldn't be a problem either since there looks to be a pretty big community.

That Humble Bundle isn't the worst thing ever, just has a bunch of trash distracting you.

The 3.75 bundle is basically:

Psychonauts

Company of Heroes

AoE 2 HD + Forgotten Expansion

Medieval 2:  Total War

Cities in Motion 2

+clutter

On Steam, I only own COH out of that.  I might pull the trigger on it since I'd kinda like to have AoE2 and Cities in Motion 2.

I wouldn't discount that Wildstar Standard edition either (if I were somebody who had any chance of playing it).  Games that go free to play often give additional benefits to those that bought the original game.

COH has been bundled. Medieval 2 has been 99 cents. Cities in Motion 2 has been bundled numerous times. Psychonauts has been bundled numerous times.

I mean the games in there are good if you're into those types of games but there have been ample times to get them if you were interested in them. For me the genre that dominates the bundle isn't my favorite and all the games for the most part have been really cheap or bundled numerous times. No thanks.

Says you have to be subscribed until it goes FTP to get the 'bonuses' (at the link indef posted) I'll probably pass after all.

And they don't say anything about when it'll go F2P, right?

Edit:

Dammit neuro I got no cards yesterday. :(

Goes FTP in "The Fall" and I sure as hell won't be subscribed until then :)

Got all three of my drops within 15 minutes.

I only got 1 card drop yesterday and with the new 10 minute thing I guess I'm stuck.

Today I'll leave/rejoin/make new games a few times before letting the thing idle I guess in the hopes of jump-starting the card drop. In all honesty though.. even just typing that sounded like too much work for another 2 cards...

Fallout 4 does have stats.  I just saw it on a Pip-boy at the Bethesda Fallout 4 Xbox presentation.

Also, the main character talks.  People wondered it because he talked to the dog at the end of the trailer.  I saw him have a conversation with a robot.

EDIT:  OMG.. Xbox One players are going to get to use mods just like PC gamers.
